//February 25, 2030. Interpol Headquarters, 1:59 PM//

When I arrived at Interpol, Milan, Connor, and another girl were getting there at the same time. I recognized her as June August. As much as I wanted to spit take when I saw her, I didn't. Instead, I turned my attention to the last person in their car.

"It's you!" I exclaimed, my hands flying to my mouth. "What are you two doing with her?!"

Ms. Farrell held her hands up defensively. "I don't think we've ever met before."

I could tell that she was lying, but I didn't call her out on it immediately. Connor spoke before I got the chance. "This is Lira Giuseppe, the long lost daughter of our criminal mastermind," he explained to me.

I calmed down instantly. "Oh. My bad," I said sheepishly.

"It's okay. I get mistaken  for people quite frequently," Ms. Giuseppe told me.

"Where did she come from?" I asked.

"She was the one calling us," Connor said.

"Wait... You're the one who tried to blow up the entire city if we didn't help you?!" I yelled, anger rising inside me.

"I just wanted to get the attention of Interpol so that they could help me stop the Kuranin for real," Ms. Giuseppe said. "And I know where they are so that we can stop them once and for all."

"Where are they?!" I exclaimed. Finally! I could bring the people who killed Mom and Dad to justice!!

"They're underneath the Happy House Carnival as of now," Ms. Giuseppe told me. "We have to stop them before they kill anybody else!"

"I agree! We can charge them with attempted murder now, as they attacked Vesgate and M earlier today," I explained to the quartet.

"So they'll get locked away for even longer?! That's great!" Ms. August cried in excitement. I must admit that I did share her happiness over the current situation.

"Yeah. It won't be long before they're caught since we know where they are now," Connor announced.

"The Kuranin is evil!!"

I turned towards the door to see X running in, holding both of his plush creations. "What's wrong?" I asked him, seeing how panicked he looked.

"He took Stalkuma and Stalkomi apart! I had to put them back together all on my own, and it was so hard to do when I'm in a deadline induced panic!!" X cried, panic rising in his voice.

"Calm down! You might start to foam at the mouth!" Milan exclaimed.

X sighed to calm himself down, taking Milan's suggestion. I honestly didn't think  he would...

"Let's go get a few of the other agents so that we can arrest the Kuranin once and for all," I suggested.

"Okay!" Milan exclaimed. She turned on her heel and ran from the room, off to find some agent or another.

X didn't move, too shocked over what  had happened to his plush assistants. I feel kind of bad for him... At least the others aren't here... They'd probably tell him to toughen up.

J, T, and D appeared not long after, each of them being dragged along by Milan (T and J) or walking a short distance behind, judging the others (D).

"What seems to be the problem?" D asked.

"The Kuranin is under Happy House Carnival right now," I explained to her. "You, T, and J are going to go and rescue them along with  Ms. Giuseppe here."

"Giuseppe?" J asked, instantly angry. She glared at Ms. Giuseppe, who shrank back from the intense, unhappy stare..

"Not the mastermind. I'm talking about his daughter," I explained to her.

"You're talking about Lira Giuseppe? You mean... His daughter who went missing for ten years and was never found?" T asked.

I nodded. "The same one."

T turned to her with a small smile. "I'm glad that you're okay, bean."

"Bean?" Lira asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes. Bean," T nodded.

"Regardless of T's odd nicknames for people, let's go on and stop the Kuranin for real this time," D announced.

"I agree entirely!" J exclaimed. "Let's gooooo-"

"Not yet," I told them. "Listen to me."

"Yes?" D asked.

"The Kuranin is dangerous. I don't usually like this stuff, but... If you have to... Feel free to use violent methods to take them into custody," I said, trying to gulp down my fear. I didn't like it when this stuff had to happen.

"I bet that D will be violent, but I, personally, want to leave them intact so that I can ask them about how it feels to be a serial killer," J announced.

"I didn't say that you had to kill them. I just said that you can be violent if you have to," I said, fighting the urge to sigh.

"Oh, yeah. My bad. I guess I just feel a little loopy from last night," J said apologetically, face flushing with embarrassment.

"What happened last night?" Milan asked, tilting her head curiously. Her wide eyes stared into mine, begging for answers in a childlike manner.

"The agents all stayed overnight so that we could find a way to catch the Kuranin once and for all," I explained to her. "Most of them didn't get to sleep at all, what with all the chaos."

"That sounds pretty bad. I stayed up until midnight and was so tired the next day. I don't know how you can stay up all night and still do work the next day," Milan declared.

"You get used to it in this job," D told her.

"Then I guess I won't be an Interpol agent," Milan said. "I like sleeping, thank you very much."

"Now that we're done talking about sleep, can we go and catch the Kuranin now? We can't have them running free for much longer," Ms. Giuseppe said.

"I have to agree with her. Let's get going so that we can finally rest for the first time in five days," T announced.

"Good luck," I told D, T, and J before turning towards Ms. Giuseppe. "You stay out of trouble."

Ms. Giuseppe nodded. "I will," she assured me.

"Then off we go!" J exclaimed, running out for the car. T, D, and Ms. Giuseppe followed  her, preparing themselves for the battle ahead.
