//February 25, 2030. Detention Center, 2:33 PM//

I was sitting alone in my cell when one of the guards, one with long auburn hair with red highlights, walked in. I had associated with her a few times, and by now I knew confidently that her name was Saige Hollister. "You have a visitor," she told me.

I stood and let Ms. Hollister lead me to the visitor's cell. I took a seat and Ms. Hollister took her place by the door to guard it from anybody who may hope to break in or out. I thought she knew by now that I wasn't a criminal.

Much to my surprise, it was N on the other side of the glass. His gaze was serious, so I could tell that he had something to tell me, and it was something big.

"Hi," I greeted awkwardly, not sure how to greet my boss in this situation. At the very least, he was just as awkward and socially incapable as I am.

"It's time for you to come out of the detention center," N told me, completely ignoring my greeting.

"What? That's great!" I exclaimed, unable to hide my happiness. "But... How? I'm stuck here until the trial."

"Not at all. Jo-erm, I mean... M... He told me that the person who attacked him wasn't you, but Pierre Giuseppe. Because of this, you get to go back home," N explained.

"That's great!" I repeated before pausing. "Wait... I meant that I get to leave... Not that M was attacked by Pierre Giuseppe..."

"I know. You're not that weird Autumn guy, so we know that you aren't happy that he was attacked," N said, beginning to laugh. It was obviously forced, though, as his eyes were still filled with fear. I guess that makes sense when your boyfriend was stabbed.

Dang it!! L is rubbing off on me with her nonstop romance talk!!

N turned to Ms. Hollister. "Okay. You can let him go now," he said.

"I would fight back, but I know better than to argue with you, sir!!" Ms. Hollister yelled. She had always been like this. She seemed chill at first, but she was almost as loud as L, if not more so. I pray for my eardrums to not break...

"Thanks," N smiled, watching as Ms. Hollister opened the door to my visitor's cell. She led me out of the detention area so that I was on the free side of the glass with N.

"I'm so happy to be out of that place you don't even know I thought I would never get married and  have kids and cats with Julia thank you so much-" I exclaimed. My words were coming out in a jumble. As soon as I realized what I had said, my hands flew to my mouth and my eyes went wide.

"I won't tell anyone you said that," N said to me, winking.

"I won't tell Julia that you like her either, Sebastian, sir!!" Ms. Hollister yelled, saluting me powerfully.

"How did you know my real name was Sebastian?" I asked, my shoulders growing tense.

Ms. Hollister froze and saluted us one last time. "I should be getting back to work, sir!! I'll see you another time, sir!!" And with that, she ran from the room, her hair flopping in the breeze she was generating with her pace.

"What's with her? And how did she know your name? I made sure that the names of Interpol agents were kept top secret," N frowned, crossing his arms. I was happy it was him here and not somebody else who doesn't know my name yet. I liked being called Q by people at work, and somebody knowing my name would ruin that...

"I don't know. I never told her anything," I answered truthfully. "Ms. Hollister has always been a little bit off of her rocker, if you ask me. I can't even remember the last time she did anything understood."

"Reminds me of O that way," N laughed. I guess that the dry sense of humor was his way of avoiding the fact that M is still in the hospital.

"I remember O..." I whispered. O was an old agent from a long time ago, but she disappeared in 2027 after being kidnapped by an assassin force. After she quit, I dug a little bit and found out that her real name was Sakura Rai, though nobody knows much about her, oddly enough...

"Yeah... She was so confusing. M and I talked really late into the night about why she did things when I was at his house," N began, though he clapped his hands over his mouth when he realized that he had implied him and M being heavily in love.

"I guess that L is right when she says that you two are a thing," I muttered, shaking my head. "But regardless of that, where to next? I'm positive that something else is more important than sitting around here cracking jokes."

"I agree. My suggestion is that we head back to Interpol to ask D, T, and J about a few things," N suggested.

"What about Jul-D?" I asked, stopping myself from saying her real name on accident.

"Well... She went out to arrest the members of the Kuranin with T and J not long ago. I'm just hoping that she's back at HQ now with our criminals," N explained.

"I hope so, too..." I whispered. The thought of seeing her flick her lavender hair once again made my heart flutter...

Why is L rubbing off on me so much?!

"Let's go. The car is outside," N told me. He paused. "Um... You wouldn't mind driving, right...?"

"Uh... Sure," I said. I had never seen N drive, and since I still wasn't going to right now, I just had to wonder what his deal was with vehicles...

Either way, I found myself sliding into the front seat of the car and letting the engine spark to life. The purr of the high power engine rattling my seat ever so slightly, I began the familiar drive back to Interpol.

I ended up with a little bit more time before we start blowing stuff up for real woo
