//February 23, 2030. Connor's House, 7:39 AM//

I watched Milan sleep after I woke up. She looked so cute and innocent like that... It was almost as if she didn't have any family left, but you could still see that she was at least a little bit uncomfortable since her back was so tense.

Milan seemed to sense that I was watching her, as she looked up and awoke with a yawn. "Huh...?"

"Morning," I greeted with a gentle smile, taking her hand and helping her stand up.

"Morning, Connor..." Milan murmured, rubbing her eyes. She suddenly gasped. "A-are those waffles I smell?!"

I nodded and led her into the kitchen. While she was still asleep, I had made a plate of waffles for us to share to make her feel welcome (though if Celosia were here, she'd be QUELLcome).

That was terrible I'll stop now-

I handed Milan a fork and some syrup. She poured some of the syrup over the waffles and took a bite with shining eyes. "This is great!!" Milan exclaimed. "Thanks, Connor!"

"No problem," I told her. "Once you're done, we can go and keep on with the investigation since I'm sure that M won't like to be kept waiting about all of this stuff. He strikes me as the really impatient type."

Milan nodded. "He doesn't really like me. He's been this way ever since I accidentally kicked N, who I'm pretty sure is his younger brother or boyfriend," she told me.

I laughed. "That sounds adorable," I said with a smile.

Milan finished with her waffles shortly afterwards with a little bit of help from yours truly, so I loaded her and all of her hair into my car and drove off to the local prison.

//February 23, 2030. Local Prison, 9:00 AM//

Milan and I were the last people to arrive. The others were all lazing around on the prison steps. X was typing on his computer madly, trying to get some sort of message from our mystery caller.

"Do you think that she'll end up talking to us if we can contact her?" Celosia asked, looking over his shoulder.

"Who knows? X, how close are you to contacting her?" M questioned, watching X's fingers click away as well.

"I don't know about this stuff. Just give me a second to contact her. Maybe she has some new information to give us," X said.

"Information? More like cryptic hints," F scoffed. "She never tells us anything straight and it's so annoying. How are we supposed to find the Kuranin if we can't get any good information?"

"That's not nice, F."

X gasped. "L! You're here!"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm here. You can shut your traps now and let me talk. I heard that you all are going to be invading a train station just outside of town because one of your little tech genius allies being a tech genius ally."

"Yeah. What about it?" M asked, trying to seem aloof instead of worrying like he obviously was. N clung to his arm in concern and what I'm pretty sure was fear.

"That's where they all are. You know, it's not very nice here. Have you seen that place? It's practically falling apart. There's a reason only a dirty criminal would go there, and that reason is because nobody would be caught dead there," Mystery Chick told us.

"If you're done monologuing, is that train station the right place to go or not?" M demanded.

"Yeah. It's right. All of them should be there. All three of them. Though I must warn you that they tend to be a little bit mad. Like... Mad Hatter mad," Mystery Chick replied.

"You think that talking like that could possibly scare us away from our investigation? In your dreams," Celosia muttered, rolling her eyes.

"I know that I can't convince you, but will you just take me seriously when I say that these guys aren't pleasant and won't let you go without a fight if they find you?"

"Fine," I sighed. "But if that's a threat-"

"It isn't. No need to threaten to keep Milan at home. I know that's what you were going to do. You lot are very predictable, you know that?"

"Will you just shut up and leave us alone already?" I growled.

No mysterious voice answered. I supposed that Mystery Caller had finally decided to leave us alone so that we could investigate.

"Where are we going now?" Vesgate asked.

"There's a train that's going to a station near the one we need to check out. We're going to be riding that to get there. The train leaves in a little over forty five minutes from now," X answered.

"What's our plan once we arrive there?" Milan questioned.

"A good friend of ours, Q, is going to be communicating to M, N, X, and I while we're there to give us directions on where to go," F replied.

"It won't be long after we get there before we run into the Kuranin or at least see them for who they really are," smirked M. "Then, this investigation can finally come to a close for good."

"Well, after we report our findings to the L who Isn't from Interpol," N reminded him. "She gives me a really bad feeling..."

"Bad feeling or no, let's get ready to go. The train won't be at the station forever," Vesgate declared.

I nodded my agreement. "Come on, you guys. We don't have all day to wait."
