I had made it to the backyard of the house that the sniper was in. I slowly made my way into the house and up the stairs. As I moved in and out of each room, I finally found the one with the sniper gun in. As I entered the sniper man came at me with a shiv, I pushed his hand away from my face and took the shiv off of him before I stabbed him with it. I looked out the window and saw Henry, Sam and Ellie all running away from more hunters.

I ran over and picked up the sniper, remembering just about how to use it. I zoomed in and took out two men quickly, having to reload every time. More men jumped down, and I killed them quickly. Ellie also helped out by killing all the men that she could. I made sure that none of the hunters could get near the car that they were all hiding behind. Suddenly the tank comes around the corner, "Oh no, no, no" I say, knowing that my bullets would do nothing to the tank. "It's those damn tourists from the city" A man shouts. "Thought you could get away fro us? Huh?".

I shot the hunters, but I don't know how to handle the tank. Suddenly one of the men throws a Molotov, he didn't put his body far enough out for me to kill him though. Although the man goes to throw another Molotov and I shoot him. The Molotov falls out of his hand and sets the tank on fire, making them smash straight into a house.

"Shit! Oh that was intense!" I hear Ellie say, "Thanks Joel" She adds. "All right, we did it" Henry says as they look at the mess we had made. "Sam!" Henry shouts out as infected start to run at them. One takes down Henry and another knocks Sam down. I kill the one on Sam and Ellie kills the one that was on Henry. "Sam, are you okay?" Henry asks him, helping him up. Ellie tells them to hurry up as more infected come into the area.

I shoot them one at a time, but more clickers come and I look around, there was no way in hell that I was going to be able to kill all of them. I put the gun down and run to the bottom of the house where they all were. "You're okay" Ellie says, smiling. "Still here. Anybody hurt?" I ask, "Uh-uh. No we're good". "Alright, I think it's time we quiet this place. C'mon" I say, leading them all out. We run to the backyard and I pull one of the panels up on the fence so that we can all fit through and run to the nearest place possible.

We had made camp at a abandoned house and we were all sitting in the same room except for Sam. "Shut the hell up" Henry says, laughing. "Dead serious" I say, eating some more of the soup Henry had made for us. "It was Tommy's birthday. That's all he wanted to do just - rent two Harley's and drive cross country".

Henry tips his head back, "Ah, man, I could die happy if I could just ride one around the block" He laughs. "What was it like?" He asks, looking at me. "It was good. It was real good" I say, putting the can down. "Good?" He says, "Can you believe this guy?" Henry asks, looking at Ellie. "C'mon, man, gimme details. Describe it". I laugh, "You know what?" Ellie says as she stands up, "You two deserve a little privacy". "No, no, Ellie, Ellie, this isn't just any regular motorcycle. Okay?" Henry says before she leaves the room.

"You get on that bad boy, you feel that engine. Nothing like it" He continues. "Oh yeah? How would you know?" She asks. "Seen it in my dreams... Vroom, vroom, vroom..." He says, raising his hands as if he was revving up an engine. "Okay" Ellie says, leaving the room as Henry continues to laugh. When Ellie is gone Henry stops and looks slightly depressed, "I don't think anyone from our group is gonna show up" He says. I don't really know what to say, so I just say, "Yeah". "Worst part about it all - explaining it all to Sam". Sometimes I think Henry takes Sam for granted, his much more mature than Henry thinks he is.

Ellie's POV:

As I walk into the room that Sam is in I say quite cheerfully, "Well, it's safe to say those two have offically bonded". "What are you doin'?" I ask, closing the door, Sam was sat on a chair with cans of food on a table in front of him. "Taking stock of all the food we found today" He tells me. "I see... And how are we doing on canned peaches?" I say, picking one of the tins up. Sam takes the tin can out of my hand and sets it back on the table sternly. "Did Henry send you?" He asks me. "No" I say, "Why would Henry send me?".

"To make sure I'm not fucking up somehow" He groaned. "Pshhh. I'd say we all did good back there - especially you" I say, nodding my head. Sam gets out of his seat and looks out of the window. "Is everything alright?" I ask. "Everything's fine" He replies, I could tell that there was something bugging him, so I decided not to dwell on it. "Okay..." I say, walking over to the door, "Have a good night". Before I leave Sam turns around and asks, "How is it that you're never scared?".

"Who says that i'm not?" Is my reply, "What are you scared of?" Sam questions. I start to step forwards, "Let's see" I say, "Scorpions are pretty creepy" I offer, Sam isn't impressed. "Um... Being by myself" I admit. This makes Sam turn around, "I'm scared of ending up alone" I add.

"What about you?". "Those things out there" He says, pointing out the window, "What if the people are still inside? What of they're trapped in there, without any control of their body? I'm scared that happening to me" Sam exclaims. "Okay, first of all, we're a team now. We're gonna help each other out" I reassure him, "And second, they might still look like people, but that person is not in there anymore".

Sam looks down, "Henry says that, "They've moved on". That they're with their families. Like in heaven. Do you think that's true?" He asks. I think about his question in his mind for a second, "I go back and forth" I say with a nod, "I mean, I'd like to believe it". "But you don't" He points out. I screw up my face and look at the ceiling before answering, "I guess not". Sam shrugs, "Yeah... Me neither" He looks back out the window again.

"Oh" I say, pulling off my backpack, "All this serious talk I almost forgot". I take out the toy robot that he had admired before. I put it on the table, and Sam takes it in his hand, "There. If he doesn't know about it, he can't take it away". I put my backpack back on my shoulders and walk over to the door, "Alright, I'm pooped. I'll see ya tomorrow" I say, exiting.

{When Ellie left the room Sam threw the toy she had given him on the ground, he sat down in his seat and pulled his trouser leg up, revealing a scratch from one of the infected on his leg}

I wake up in the morning, pulling the thin blanket that I was sleeping with off me. As I let out a large yawn, I saw Henry stirring some sort of stew. "Damn. That smells good" I say, taking it in. "Good morning" Joel says to me, he was looking out of the window, already awake. "Where's Sam?" I ask, standing up. "I let him sleep in for once" Henry tells me. "Oh" I reply, a little disappointed. "Well if you want him to join us, you can go wake his ass up" He says.

I wipe my nose and say, "Okay". I stumble over to Sam's door and enter the room, shutting the door after me. As I looked over I saw him standing in the room twitching slightly, "Sam?" I asked.

Joel's POV:

As I looked out the window, I suddenly hear Ellie's voice scream "Sam!". "What the hell?" Henry says as we both look round. Suddenly Ellie and Sam burst through the door, Sam had grabbed onto Ellie and was trying to bite her. "Shit. He's turnin'!" I shout, running over to my bag to get my gun. Henry see's what i'm doing and shoots the gun out of my hand, "That's my fucking brother!" He argues. I look at him for a second as Ellie continues to try and fight off Sam. I see Henry fighting back tears as I say, "Screw it!" I went back to get my gun, I couldn't let him kill Ellie.

Before I know it I hear another gun shot, I look over to see where it came from and who it hit. I see that Henry had shot Sam and Ellie pushed his dead body off of her. "Oh, shit..." She says, shuffling backwards quickly. I rush over to her, "Ellie? Ellie, are you alright?". She nods, "Uh-huh". "Oh my god" Ellie said, looking at Sam's dead body again. "Sam?" I hear, I look over and saw that the sound came from Henry. "Oh no...".

"Sam..." Henry repeats, tears running down his face. "Henry" I say, getting up, "Ellie, stay here. Henry" I repeat as I walk over to him. "Henry, what have you done?" He asks himself. "I'm gonna get that gun from you, okay?" I say to him, shuffling forwards some more. "Sa... Sa... Sam..." Henry raises the gun at points it at me. "Whoa. Okay, okay, easy" I say, holding my hands up. "It's your fault" Henry said, placing both hands on the gun. "This is nobody's fault, Henry" I reply. "It's all your fault!" He shouts back. "Henry. Henry, no..." I say, but it was too late, Henry had put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger, "Oh my god..." Ellie gasps as I jump back.

Intense chapter right? I'm sorry if you didn't understand the use of there: { }. They were basically there to say that none of the characters (Joel, Ellie) were there to see it so there was no one's POV.
