I looked up at the sign where it said 'Exit', it pointed right, so I followed them directions.

As I ducked down to fit under a collapsed piece of rock a clicker went past across the hallway. "Over there. See 'em" I said to the girls, pointing it out. "Shit" Tess replied. We all hid behind a large box so that the clicker wouldn't hear us. "God, we're almost out" Tess complained. "Okay, Joel, you take point. I'll watch the rear". Tess turned to face Ellie, "Ellie, no matter what, you stay right on his heels". "Sure" She replied. "You stay sharp" She told me. "I got it" I replied.

I could hear clickers up ahead so decided that I would have to use stealth, it would be harder as the clickers can still hear you when you're crouched, I knew I had to stay very quiet. I quickly checked for ammo, and found two shells before continuing. There was a clicker right up ahead, so i quickly took my gun out. Me and Ellie went around the corner, staying very quiet. "They're fucking scary" She said, staying close.

I got close to one and shivved it in the neck, make not a lot of sound at all. I could see in the distance a runner feeding on a dead body, I couldn't leave that infected, so I quickly strangled it. I saw another clicker and got hold of the Molotov I had recently found, I aimed for the clicker and threw it. As soon as it hit, the infected person blew into flames, it's clicking louder and louder as it waved it's arms around. I was about to shoot it to death when another clicker ran straight into the fire, now two infected burning slowly to death. The first fell to the floor, and the second followed a few seconds later.

As I stumbled closer, it was clear to see their bodies still rotting, but now in only a small amount of flames. We moved to the next corner, listening closely to our surroundings. It was clear to see another clicker stumbling by at a slow pace. I needed to create a shiv, but I hadn't found any of the nescicary supplies to create one. I could see the exit now, but it of course was occupied by a clicker, standing still. I had two clickers close, and we were so nearly out.

I jumped over the small fence and kept my eye on the clicker. "This way" I whispered, "We're almost out of this. C'mon". I was close to the clicker blocking the exit when the other clicker came very near. I couldn't kill one without making sound for the other to hear. I decided to throw a bottle quite away from where we were hiding for the clicker to investigate, as the clicker moved away, one moved closer. I looked around for supplies, knowing I would have to kill the clickers. I was able to find enough to create two Molotov cocktails, which I would have to use.

I threw one directly at the closest clicker, it screamed and twitched as the others did before. I waited a little for the second clicker, but it didn't come, despite the sound. I decided we couldn't wait any longer, so I headed straight to the ladder which we needed to get out. "Alright, c'mon". I helped Tess up to grab hold of the ladder, she did, and brought it down. It made a loud sound, so now we didn't have much time until the infected came. Tess went up first, and them Ellie. I quickly followed after them.

I jumped down, out of the subway, away from those clickers. "Holy shit. We actually made it" Pointed out Ellie. "Everyone okay?" I asked, climbing up some more rubble. "Yes. Let's move" Tess replied. We climbed over a slightly bigger ledge, wiping the sweat from out forehead, "You guys are pretty good at this stuff" Ellie said. "It's called luck" I started, "And it is gonna run out". We got into what seemed like a old town, with a cross-road. "Which way we goin' Tess?" I asked. "Uh... Capitol building's in this direction" She replied, pointing straight ahead. "How do we get up over this truck?" Tess asked as we came across a large truck, blocking the way.

"Let's see what we can find" Tess answered herself. I headed into one building, finding two runners that must have recently been infected as their voices were human-like. I quickly strangled one and the other. Looking round I saw another one, but I knew it would be simple to kill, like the others. And as I thought, another simple kill. "Alright here we go" I said, pulling a piano which we could climb up onto. "They're recently infected" Tess confirmed. "They must be the soldiers from the area". "Which means there's  more in the area. We gotta go" I replied. I pulled the piano out and set it next to the truck. "Alright" I said, climbing onto it and then on top of the truck itself.

"Climb on up" I shouted, making sure the area was clear. I jumped down and saw another shutter. I grabbed hold of the chain and started to pull on it, "Sshh- shh..." Tess said, placing a hand on my back. I stopped pulling the chain. "What? I don't hear anything" I replied. As I said that we could hear a distant moan of a runner. "Alright. Double-time" Tess said. I pulled on the chain quicker, "Oh- they're coming" Ellie panicked as I continued to pull. "I know" I replied. "Okay, that's good, that's goo. Go" Tess said, going under the shutter with Ellie. I dodged under the shutter door as a runner caught hold of me leg. "Drop it!" I shouted. Tess dropped the door, and my leg was safely inside before anything happened.

I stood up, slightly shocked. The infected pounded their fists onto the door, making a enormous amount of sound. We all backed up with every bash and shout. "Oh... You got something on your shoe" Ellie said, looking at me. I looked down and found an arm which must have been cut of from that runner which had caught me. I kicked it off and turned around. "Gross" Ellie mumbled.
