He's Back

Callie's POV
My afternoon went fine like my morning. Two surgeries and nothing big. When I'm done I look at the OR board and see Arizona's name on it so I decide to text her.
C - "I'm ready, do you want me to wait for you?"
It's five minutes later when Arizona responds.
A - "No.. This is going to take a while.. Sorry.. ILYPDBM"
"ILYPDBM" is a code to "I love you please don't be mad". I realize Arizona had a nurse answer her phone because only then we use codes like that.
"IN" I text her and then I ad "LYGH" which meant "I'm not" and "love you, going home"
I get Arizona's response right away.
"OKMY" - "ok, miss you"
"MY2" I text her back.
Daam it. I was so looking forward to tonight. I know I won't be able to fall asleep right away so I text mark.
C - "Hey! Wanna talk?"
Mark responds right away but I just ignore it until I get home. I shower and eat and I only read his message when I'm in bed.
M - "hey! Sure, what's up?"
I call him and Mark and I talk for a while and he put Sofia on the phone and then Lexie and I talked for a while but when I hang up I notice it's only been a thirty minute conversation which meant more time alone until Arizona got back.
I slam my head in the pillow and scream annoyed.
Then my phone rings. I look at it and Arizona's beautiful face is on the screen.
"Hey.." I say picking up right away.
"Hey.. I just wanted to tell you goodnight. You weren't already asleep were you?" Arizona asks.
"No, no! I just got done talking to Mark and Lexie and Sofia.."
"Oh.. I miss my girl! We need to go see her Callie.."
"I know, me too.. Weren't you in surgery?"
"I am but I just came outside for a minute"
"Thank you.."
"You're welcome! Now.. Are you in bed?"
"I am.."
"Good now take the picture you have of me on you're night stand and place it on my pillow."
"I did. It's such a good picture of you Ar.. You're so beautiful!"
"You're beautiful! I miss you.."
"I miss you too!"
"Now lay yourself comfy and close you're eyes."
"They're closed!"
"I love you so much Callie! You're my life. Every minute of every day I'm thinking of you and hating the space that's between us. Every time we have a surgery together I get so happy because it's a little more time of my day that I get to spend with you and I want to spend the rest of my days with you. I want to marry you and to have you until eternity because no measure of time with you is enough. God I wish you were with me right now. I'm missing you so much! Have a goodnight my love, I love you so much!" Arizona hangs up before I'm able to say anything. I put my phone in the nightstand without opening my eyes and I smile myself to sleep thinking of how lucky I am to have her by my side.

Arizona's POV
It's 4 am when I get home which means I only have two hours to sleep tonight. Daam.
I put my purse on the floor and lock the door. I walk upstairs and into my bedroom. I smile at the sight of Callie sleeping in the left side of the bed. I can easily get used to that sight.
I change into my pjs and put my pager down in the dresser. I take the frame with my picture on it from my pillow and put it down next to the frame I have with Callie's picture on my bedside table.
I get in bed and move closer to Callie.
I put her arms around me and I pull her legs up so we can spoon, me being the little spoon.

Callie's POV
When Arizona's alarm clock goes of I stand up right away. I see her turning it off and her looking at me surprised.
"What Callie?" Arizona says.
"I just got surprised. I didn't hear you come in last night!" I say getting back on the bed and holding her waist.
"Who do you think would be sleeping next to you silly?" Arizona asks kissing me.
"I don't know that's why I shot up."
"Well you better not have anyone else sleeping in my bed or beside you besides me ever!"
"I won't! I don't want to ever! That idea discusses me!"
"Good!" Arizona says.
"Same applies to you!" I say serious.
"I won't! Ever!" Arizona says.
"Good!" I smile and I kiss her.
We get up and get ready or work.
I cook breakfast as Arizona takes a little bit longer with her make up and in 20 minutes we're of to work. Arizona's driving.
We get to work quickly as its so early in the morning that there's no traffic and we change.
We are at the lobby talking when I hear a familiar voice.
"Callie..." He says. I turn my face to the right and Arizona who's in front of me turns her face to her left. I smile and Arizona let's go of my hand!

Arizona's POV
Callie runs to hug Mark and I walk to Lexie as Lexie walks to me. We meat in the middle and I give her a big hug.
