Every story has its scars

Karev and I keep running the faster we can to the ER.
When we get there I run to a gurney and put Arizona down. Karev shouts "we need help in here" and everyone looks. When they see it's Arizona they all come running.
"What happened?" Avery asked.
"My dad beat the crap out of her. I couldn't keep him off. I couldn't.."
"You got him off. You brought her here. You saved her." Meredith said hugging me.
"Maybe not in time" I cried.
"Ok let's do a CT, a CAT scan.." Meredith kept yelling and everyone listened and did as she said.
"Ok yup. She has an internal bleeding in her left ventricle from the fall and a damage to her liver." Meredith said looking at the scans.
"Let's take her to the OR stat" she said.
I grabbed her pulse.
"Let me say goodbye" I said.
I leaned down to Arizona and whispered in her ear "Ar.. Please be listening to me! I need you to live. Can you do that? Can you live? For me?" I cried into her shoulder and the I kissed her lips.
Everyone was a bit surprised but actually not that much.
Then I looked at Mer.
"Please don't let her die." I asked her. She grabbed my arm in reassurance and nodded. Then she pushed the gurney with April and Amelia and left.

Four hours passed and still nothing. Karev, Jackson, Bailey, the chief and even Yang were waiting with me for news in the lobby.
"Callie?" I heard Meredith ask. I turned around and ran to her.
"How is she?" I asked her. She grabbed my arms and just cried.
Amelia grabbed my shoulder and said "I'm so sorry Callie. We did everything we could". I looked at them petrified. Then I started to run to the OR.
