Engaged

Arizona's POV
It's been a week since we got engaged. A week since Callie asked for the second and final time. A week since I said yes! A week since the love of my life asked me to marry her, to spend the rest of our lives together and it's been a week since I said yes. Yes to loving her, to caring for her, to protecting her, to cherish her, for as long as we both will live. Yes to a life together for better or worst.
This week has been our best yet, since our honey moon. There's a bounce in our step, a smile on our faces and a huge amount of love in our hearts. We keep smiling to each other, always grabbing one another whenever we can at the hospital whether it's by just holding hands or to still a kiss we've been craving for too long. We've only told Meredith, April and Amy but it's hard to keep it a secret when we're so exited for it. We're going to do it big this time. We're doing it on the beach in Hawaii with just a couple of close friends and family but then we're going to fly back 2 days later and have a big party for everyone at the Plaza on August 10 and for our honeymoon, we're flying to beautiful Greece where we can look at beautiful architecture and enjoy the wonderful beaches at the same time.

"Hello... Arizona??" Amy asks while moving a hand in front of my face. "Are you here?" She asks.
"Ahhh" I sight, "Yes, what were you saying?" I ask her taking another bite of my lunch.
"Never mind. What were you thinking about?" Amy asks.
"Ahhh..." insight again. "About Greece and the beach and my beautiful girlfriend in a bikini!"
"You're taking your girlfriend to Greece?" Another voice asks from behind me before sitting in the chair beside me.
"Yes! Oh I should introduce her to you, she's so amazing..." I joke. Callie smiles her supper mega smile and gives me a peck on the cheek.
"Oh I bet..." Callie says.
"And she's so hot Calliope, you would love her.." I continue.
"Really? Tell me more..." Callie asks while taking a bite of her pear.
"She's got this huge smile that could light up a room and whenever we kiss.. Oh Calliope, I see stars..." I say in a dreaming voice.
"Ok lovebirds not that I don't love you two but it's getting a bit depressing here, I'm gonna go!" Amy says and before we could answer Amy is gone.
"Do you think we took it to far?" Callie asks.
"Truthfully? I don't care. I'm in love Callie.." "In loveeeeeeee" I scream.
"Shhhhhh!!!!" Callie says pushing me towards her. "I can tell! Now what's gotten in to you today?" Callie asks.
"Nothing. I just let my mind wonder to you, me and Greece and now I can't stop thinking about it.."
"Baby, I've been dreaming about that day for days now. Can't take it out of my head."
"You're not helping Calliope... When I think about that beach and you.. In a bikini.. The things we could be doing if we were there right now..."
"Oh baby, you don't even know.." Callie interrupts my thinking.
"But we're not there yet and it's 6 months away so we're just going to have to wait and in the mid time we have to enjoy ourself here.." Callie says finishing her snack.
"How is it possible. The weather is terrible and there's nothing new here." I pout.
"Relax baby.." Callie says hugging my side as I lean into her. "Tonight we're taking a hot bath in our tub together, a glass of wine and some chocolates to go with it.. what do you think?" Callie asks me.
"Couldn't be more perfect!" I say looking up at her before giving her a slow kiss on the lips.

Callie's POV
It's 5 pm and I'm finishing a surgery when a nurse comes in with a note.
"Dr. Torres, Dr. Robbins sent you this note, would you like me to read it to you?" He asks.
"No, it's ok thanks. Just leave it there next to my phone."

When I get out of surgery I take the note out of my pocket and read it as I'm resting against the OR wall.
"Took a nap here at the hospital but didn't get much sleep. Thought I'd right you a note you know? Like old times.. Hope you like my love because only with you I'm complete.
Waking up to kiss you and nobody's there, the smell of your perfume still stuck in the air, it becomes hard... And I want to tell you everything, the words I never got to say the first time around.. And I remember everything from when we were the children playing in this fairground, wish I was with you now.. You still make me nervous when you walk in the room, them butterflies they come alive when I'm next to you, over and over the only truth is that everything comes back to you..
And if the whole world was watching I'd still dance with you, drive highways and byways to be there with you. Over and over the only truth is that everything comes back to you.

I have tears falling from my eyes as I finish it. I read it again and then kiss it before putting in back in my pocket.
How did I get so lucky? I run to search for Arizona but she's in surgery so I look for a pen and decide to right her a note back.

Arizona's POV
A nurse hands me a note as I'm leaving the OR so I open it. When I see that it's Callie's I wait until I'm inside an empty gallery that looks over the OR where Callie's doing a surgery to read it so I can look at her while reading it.
"My sweet love. I got your note and can I say how much it meant every word you said? I love you so much and all those things, they apply to how I feel about you too love, and only you.
Here's a note from me just to you. I hope you like it.
You are the light I like to wake up to. My love there's not a sun that rises sweeter than you do.
The moment my eyes caught the sight of you I was suddenly surrounded by these feelings I never knew. I never knew it'd be nights alone in my car just me you the stars and moon. I didn't think I would share so much of this heart but now it's been built for two. Me and you. And I don't see myself with anyone else, nobody else, but you, only you.
Because I never knew it'd be years of keeping the tears away from your soft blue eyes. Didn't think it'd be walks to sunsets and talks of love cause it just felt right. Now I don't see myself being with anywhere else then with you tonight.. And forever more because that's what feels right.

And I can't help but to get up and run downstairs.
I wait until she's out of surgery and then I grab her by the neck and kiss her passionately. Callie kisses me back and we stay there for I don't know how long.
"You got my note I suppose.." I say between kisses.
"I did. You got mine..."
"I did. Thank you" I tell her.
"Thank you, for the note and.."
"For being mine Calliope. Only mine, forever.." I say and I smile.
"It sounds perfect doesn't it? Callie asks smiling back at me.
"It does!" I smile brighter before pulling her head down for another long and passionate kiss.
