Christmas morning

Arizona's POV
Callie gets up and quickly dressed and out of the bedroom.
"No opening presents Sofia, breakfast first!" She says going down the stairs.
She forgot my feet was broken so I just take my time.
I lift myself on the bed and pick up my lingerie and t-shirt and put them on.
My shorts are at the bottom of the bed so I struggle to get there and pick them up.
I'm picking them up when Callie comes in the bedroom.
"I'm sorry! I totally forgot! I'm so sorry!" Callie kisses my head.
"Here, let me help!" She says taking the shorts out of my hands and helps me put them on.
"Thank you!" I smile as she helps me up.
Callie smiles at me and kisses me.
She picks me up bridal style and carries me out of our bedroom.
"I can walk on my clutches you know?" I tell Callie as she carries me down the stairs.
"Sofia come get mommys clutches and bring them to the living room please!" She screams to Sofia.
"I know but I like it better this way. So I can have you closer to me!" Callie says and I kiss her.
"I like this better as well!" I say cupping Callie's face and leaving a slow kiss on her cheek which makes her smile.

Callie's POV
Arizona makes breakfast and I set the table.
Chocolate chip pancakes and orange milk.
"I'm done! Can we do presents now?" Sofia asks cleaning her face with her napkin. She misses a spot and Arizona an I both laugh at the chocolate on her cheek.
Arizona kisses her cheek and licks the chocolate out of her cheek. I laugh and Sofia smirks.
"Yes we can sweetie!" I say and get up.
Sofia is so excited she doesn't even let us clean up, we go straight to the living room and to sit on the floor around the living room.
Sofia's presents are all wrapped in princess Christmas paper, Arizona's in pink and mine in navy blue.
Sofia opens hers first and Arizona tries to open one but as I looked away to see Arizona's reaction to the present for one second, Sofia had opened 3 presents so we left ours to be opened at nap time.

Arizona's POV
Sofia fell quickly asleep with her new stuffed animal in her bed so Callie and I rushed to the Christmas tree like kids to open our presents. We took turns opening them and thanking each other and even make out a little between presents. That's when we knew the other really liked the present.
At the end of the day, Sofia was already in bed when we were paged.
"Not even on Christmas!" Callie says. Callie gets a text and asks me to see it.
Mer - "can't get a sitter, can I bring the kids to your house?" I read it out loud to Callie as we get dressed and Callie says to answer yes of course.
Mer - "thanks 10 minutes!"
We get dressed and ready to leave.
"Thank you for the most perfect day!" I say grabbing Callie's waist and pulling her to me.
"Thank you! I love you my love!" Callie says and hugs me and kisses my forehead.
"I love you too! You and Sofia are my life!" I say looking up at her.
"Right back at you!" Callie says and winks before kissing me which makes me smile.
We are interrupted by Meredith opening the front door and the kids coming in. Callie moves away and grabs my purse and hands it to me as she puts hers on her shoulder.
"You're late!" She tells Meredith!
"I know but I found the sitter!" Meredith says looking back and we smile.
The kids and the sitter come in and we leave.

Callie's POV
Arizona and I were pages for different patients so we finish the night separated.
It's two am when I get out of surgery and I look at my phone.
At - "Missing you tonight my love! 😘"
I walk to the lobby and see she's doing charts so I walk pass her and lean against the counter in front of her.
"Hey!" I say.
"Hey!" Arizona says looking up from her charts.
"How was your surgery?" I ask her.
"Ok, yours?"
"Ok!" I say looking at her.
"What?" Arizona asked.
"I really really miss you! I know we spend the day together but you were away for almost a week.." I say looking at her hands.
"I know.." Arizona says grabbing my hands. "I have free time, do you wanna go take a walk?" Arizona asks and looks at me.
I take the chart from her and hand it to the nurse.
I walk away and right as I'm side by side with her I say.
"I have a better idea!".
Arizona looks at me and smiles. I walk away and hear her clutches behind me. I smile.
