Running on sunshine

Callie's POV
"Just get it over with!" I snap looking at Arizona standing at the bottom of my bed.
"Calliope one second!" She looks up from signing my discharge papers.
"Come on, come on!" I say moving my feet like a kid, hitting the bed.
"Ok! Just three more! Uhf you're a pain today!"
"I've been here for a hole week! I wanna go home and see Sofia!" I say.
"Fine! Done! Get your stuff!" Arizona says looking at me and then walking outside to hand the papers to the nurse.
I hop of the bed and grab my suitcase.
I grab Arizona's hand and we walk outside to our car.
"What do you think you're doing?" Arizona stops in the middle of the road.
"Get out of the road!" I say running towards her and pushing her to our car. "I'm going to drive us home!"
"The hell you are!" Arizona glares at me. Trying to convince me with her pretty baby blues. Damn the power this woman has on me.
"I always drive!..." I say.
"I know but right now you just got out of the hospital so today, I'm driving!"
"Then how are you going to ask me to marry you?" I ask her.
"What? No I'm not" Arizona says getting in the car and looking at me.
I get in.
"In a few seconds you're going to ask me to marry you and then we're gonna run into a truck..." I say looking at her.
Arizona is driving away from the hospital.
"Well then you better put on you're seat belt..." Arizona says looking at me.
"You should let me drive! Because if something happens, it should happen to me and more importantly if you're going to ask, you should be looking at me and not the road.." I say looking forward.
"Callie put on your seat belt!" Arizona demands.
"And I'm mad! I'm mad because I should be the one to ask! I wanna be the one to ask.." I continue.
"Fine! I'll let you ask just put on your seat belt!"
"Marriage.. Other people can do it! Meredith and Derek, Bailey and Ben, April has Jackson.. I want that..."
"PUT YOUR SEAT BELT ON!" Arizona demands again.
"I want that! I want us to be like that! Because I love you!" I say looking at her. Arizona looks at me and then back to the road. "I do!" I laugh.
"Put on your seat belt!" Arizona looks at me.
"Are you listening to me?" I ask her.
"I am! Now put your seat belt on!" Arizona screams stopping the car.
I look forward and as I'm about to pull my seat belt I watch a car turning in front of us.
"Careful!" I say putting my arm around Arizona and pulling her to me and laying my body on top of hers like a shield.
The car stops right in front of us.
"What the?" Arizona asks pulling back and sitting back again.
"Thank God you stopped the car cause we would have been killed if we were a mile out front.
"Thank God! Now put your seat belt on so we can get home safe!" Arizona says leaning in and giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"Fine, fine!" I put my seat belt on and grab her leg as Arizona drives away.
"Girl you got me tripping on sunshine, God knows you just made my day! Since you came around, no I just can't slow down, no, I wanna see you walk in my way!" I sing to Arizona putting my arm around her waist and pulling to me while I sing.
"Alright.."
"Girl you got me thinking about diamonds, and get down on one knee, maybe two, oh love! People may stop and stare, but I don't even care, no! Just as long as I'm with you!"
"Callie.." Arizona says pulling away and looking at the road. I grab her hand.
"You got me running on sunshine! Ain't no clouds getting in my way. I must be running on sunshine, ain't no rain getting in my way!"
"Is that so?" Arizona smiles looking at me! I smile.
"Something tells me you made me lose it, cause everything keeps shaking around" Arizona smiles so big.
"We can cut the rules, make our walls go boom, we can do this right here and now, now, now!" I say grabbing her again and kissing her neck.
"Hey just get over yourself! This thing is to good for you health! Hey just get over your self!" Arizona sings pushing me away.
"Okay.."

Ain't no rain getting in my way!" Arizona finishes and grabs my hand on her leg.
I move closer and lean into her kissing her forehead before resting my head on her shoulder until we arrive home.
"I love you!" I tell her.
"I love you too Calliope!" I can't not smile. It's coming out more and more like it did before. With so ease, so much love. Almost as much as the love I have for her.
"I do want to ask you to marry me."
"I know! Maybe in a different day, a different place, a different time!" Arizona says caressing my cheek before putting her hand back on the wheel.
"But I'll be the one to ask!" I say.
"We'll see love, we'll see!" Is the last thing Arizona says before silence fills the car. The only thing we can hear is two harts, two breathings, two souls, beating, sounding and living like one.
