Hey! It's me..

Arizona's POV
Looking to the surgery board for today and tomorrow I see I don't have any surgeries with Callie which stinks. If we're both doing an 48 shift in the same days, at least put us in a surgery together!
Callie went straight to the ER when we came in and I have consults but before I do my rounds I decide to write her a note to bring joy to her day!
I leave under her scrub cap.

Callie's POV
When it's time for my first surgery I go get my scrub cap and notice a note under it. Before even reading it I can't help but smile at myself. Her handwriting gives her away just for the first word. How I love her.
"Hey love! I'd wish you good luck on the surgery but you don't need luck, because you're awesome! Go rock your surgery! 💋 Your one!" With the kiss marked by her lips and her lipstick. I kiss the mark of her lips on the note and I take my note pad and write her a quick note as well.
I send Wilson to deliver it to Arizona.
"I'm going to ask everyone in this hospital and look at every camera! If something tells me you even glanced at the inside of that note I'll make sure you do scut for a year! Do you hear me Wilson? A Year! And don't think I won't be watching behind stairs and inside closets!" I threaten her.

Arizona's POV
I'm leaving the second patient room when a terrified Wilson comes running towards me. She hands me a note and when I take it from her she looks like a 100 pound bag just lifted of her shoulders.
"Wilson what the?" I ask.
"Doctor Torres sent me. She threaten me. I swear I didn't look at the note! I swear!" She says.
I open the note and smile.
"It's ok Wilson you can go!" I say looking back at her before reading my note.
"Thanks you for the note! It's always nice feeling you remember me in the mess of your day! I'm sorry we don't have surgeries together but I promise to be the fastest I can on my surgeries so I can catch you before either of yours! I miss seeing your pretty face already! 💋 Yours!"
Callie's lips are marked on the paper but just slightly because she wasn't wearing any lipstick this morning. I kiss her lips mark to give them a little more color and place the note on my scrub pocket.

When I'm done with rounds I walk to Callie's surgery and open the door.
"Wilson" I whisper.
Wilson looks at me and walks out of the surgery.
"Please not again.." She says.
"Shut up! Take this note and leave it under Callie's phone! That's it!" I say.
Wilson takes the note and I see as she places it under Callie's phone, making sure she doesn't peek. Callie watches as Wilson gets near her phone but Wilson gives me a nod which makes Callie look back at me. I send her a wink and leave.

Callie's POV
I'm so excited to read my note that the end of this surgery can't come fast enough.
I take my phone and note and place them in my pocket before washing my hands.
Walking off the OR I read it.
"Well, don't rush your surgeries and compromise your patients! Just think that after this shift we get 12 hours of just us, it's that thought what gets me thro.. I'm loving this note switching game but don't scare Wilson, she was almost peeing her pants when she found me! Headed to surgery! 💋 Yours"
I immediately write another note and before heading to the cafeteria for lunch I walk to Alex and hand him the note. I ask him not to read it and he rolls his eyes. Of course! If there's something Alex could care less is my relationship with Arizona.

Arizona's POV
I finish surgery at 3:30 and I'm dying by now. No food, no sleep, no sitting for 8 hours. I can't even believe my legs aren't wobbly by now.
I'm headed to the cafeteria when Alex comes walking to me with a chart in hand.
"Not now Karev! I'm going to lunch!" I say walking to the cafeteria.
"You don't want Callie's note? Fine!" He says walking back.
"No! No!" I say running after him. "I'm sorry, just give me the note" I ask him putting my hand forward.
He holds the note back and smirks.
"Please..." I say annoyed.
"You're welcome!" He says placing the note on my hands and we both walk away from each other.
I wait until I have my tray and I'm sitting down to read it.
"I know.. Patient first but against you, no one wins! Heading to lunch. Without you it sucks!" I know exactly what you mean. "I love this too! And don't worry about Wilson, she deserves it! Going to surgery after lunch so maybe I can see you at dinner? Hoping to... 💋 Yours"

I walk back to the surgery room and ask Bob, the cleaning guy to leave the note on the sink of Callie's OR after everyone leaves. Knowing Callie, I know she's always the last to leave her OR to make sure the patient is safe until going back to recovery.

Callie's POV
I'm washing my hands for the fourth time since coming into the hospital today when I notice a note behind the fountain. I smile so big. How did she get someone to put the note here. It had to be Bob. I look at him and he smiles. I mouth "thank you" and leave the OR.
"I'm not sure about dinner but maybe midnight snack? I have a surgery at 22 but nothing after that.. Missed you at lunch too.. How were your surgeries? I love you Calliope! Yours 💋"
She called me Calliope.. My heart melts every time. I kiss her lips on the paper and can't help myself.
I got a surgery in 5 minutes but this will be quick.
I write a note as fast as I can while running to Peds. Once there I run around trying to find my Arizona and when I see her I run to her.
I place a hand on her waist and turn her. I kiss her slowly and passionately, trying to absorb the most of her that I can. I pull back and look at her smiling at me. I let the note fall to her pocket and lean to whisper in her ear.
"Read the note alone!".
Arizona grabs my hand as its leaving her pocket and intertwines our fingers before pulling me back for another kiss.
We both now that this is the last contact we're going to have with each other for hours so we push the seconds to its max.
When my pager goes off. I give her a hug and Arizona pulls me back and with a smack on my bum sends me away.

Arizona's POV
I'm sitting in an on-call room when I open the note.
"The surgeries when good! How were yours? As I'm running to come see you all I can think about is having you in my arms. How is it possible that I love you so much that whenever you're not in my arms I'm missing you? You drive me crazy with your amazing smile and unconditional love. I kinda hope you feel the same way because other wise this is going to sound like I'm a complete crazy. Which I am, but for you! Oh God I miss you! And Sofia! Mark needs to bring Sofia back!
I love you so much! 💋 Yours!"
I hug her note and fall on the bed. Hoping to get some sleep.
What was I thinking? Five minutes latter my pager goes off and I'm running to the ER.

Callie's POV
It's dinner time and I have yet to receive another note from Arizona. She got pulled in into an emergency surgery and it sucks. I miss her.
As I'm about to take my tray from the stand, Eli places a napkin and a note on the tray. I look at him. "From Arizona.." He says. I smile and go sit down.
"My surgeries were good..
Don't worry, I'm just as crazy as you! Even when your 5 feet away I'm missing you. Because your not touching me, I'm missing you. I miss you all the time. ALL THE TIME! And I don't know how people live their hole lives craving a love so deep. Thank God we have these notes or phones because imagine spending 48 hours without talking to each other, without nothing but two amazing kisses and a hug on the Peds wing? I miss our girl too. We need to call Mark and get her here. Home! With her mommys!
Sorry if it took you to long to get this note but I didn't now if your surgery was going to be long or not.. 💋 Yours"

Arizona's POV
It's 23.34 in the morning. I got two surgeries in a row and I haven't eaten in 7 hours, slept in 14 hours and taken a deep breath in ages. Callie didn't respond to my last note, she probably just fell asleep in an on-call room. How jealous I am of her right now.
I grab a coffee and at the bottom I feel something. Without even looking at it I immediately smile.
I take the tape and the note out of the coffee cup and open it.
"I can't even imagine it. I didn't see you at lunch or at "midnight snack".. I wrote you a note on the coffee cup but when Toby told me you didn't come get a coffee before midnight it didn't apply anymore so I had to replace it! How are you feeling? I hope your not to tired.. 💋 Yours"
I walk to an on-call room and write the next note.

Callie's POV
It's 23.58 when the next note somehow shows up beside me on the OR gallery.
"I'm sorry but I was I surgery.. I'm.. Hanging.. And you? How much would I give to have your arms around me for just a minute. Whenever I have time to lay my head down my pager goes of. Where are you? 💋 Yours"
I call her but her phone must have died.

Arizona's POV
Again I'm paged to the ER and again I'm pulled into surgery.
A nurse showed me a note halfway thro the surgery and it calmed me down. At the end she handed it to me and I read it outside. I looked at my watch. 5.45 am, great!
"I'm watching Bailey. I'm afraid if I lie down I'll sleep thro my pager. Did your phone die? I tried calling you.. How much I would give to have you around my arms as well. I'm seriously going crazy! But hey! 24 have passed, just 24 to go! Talk to you tomorrow! You're my everything you know that? 💋 Yours"
