A note goodmorning

Callie's POV
It's 5 in the morning when I wake up.
I feel Arizona in my arms and for a couple seconds I hug her harder. It feels so good to have her in my arms.
Because I know she needs a little more of sleep I stand up and cover her with a blanket.
I walk downstairs and look for my phone inside my purse.
I unlock it and text Meredith.
"Hey, wanna go for a run?"
Meredith doesn't text me immediately but I know she's up because she's always up so early.
I go upstairs and change to leggings and a baggy t-shirt.
I'm fixing my ponytail when my phone rings. Before I read it I silence it.
"Sure, I'll pass by your house in 10!" Meredith says.
I run back to my old bedroom where I still have my stuff and put on a pair of socks and my running shoes.
I run downstairs trying not to make any noise and grab a piece of paper and a pen.
"To my dear Arizona" I start.
I'm passing by the front door when I hear my phone buzz.
"I'm here!" Meredith texted.
I open the door and Meredith rolls down the passengers seat window.
I put one finger up as a sight to "1 second!".
Meredith smiles and nods and I shut the door again.
I walk up the stairs and place the note on my pillow.
I walk to Arizona's side of the bed and I caress her cheek. After looking at her for a second I kiss her forehead and leave the bedroom. I leave the door open because Arizona hates to wake up alone in the house and especially when the bedroom door is closed.
I run downstairs and pick up my keys then I close the door softly and walk into Meredith's car.
"Hey!" I say putting my seat belt on.
"Morning!" Meredith says and starts the car.

Arizona's POV
I wake up and look at the alarm clock, 6 am. It's still very early for me because I only have consults after 9. I close my eyes again and turn to my right and I reach for Callie by throwing my left arm across the bed.
I only feel the bedsheets so I open my left eye. Nothing. The room is empty.
I sit up straight on the bed and as I look across the hole room I notice Callie left me a note on her pillow.
For a split second I thought she had left me, my mind went back to last night while I was trying to think about something I might have done wrong but then I remembered.
Callie didn't leave. And a breath of relieve left my body. I grabbed the note and I notice Callie's underwear on the floor and I smile to myself. Of course she didn't leave me.
I place the note on my lap. It's folded in half and on the outside, in the middle of the page it's written: "my dear Arizona".
I smile a little bit and I open the note.
"My love,
I really hope you didn't wake up and found my absence. I went running with Meredith and didn't want to wake you. If you're reading this please go back to sleep because it's still very early and I will be with you in just a few minutes, I promise my love!
But if you can't sleep here's a note just for you!

Arizona.. I don't even know where to start when I'm trying to describe the love I have you but I'll do my best.
I used to try to make something out of nothing, whatever it is I was doing wasn't working, but now I see because my eyes are finally open, you were meant for me.
Like a thieve caught cold in the light,
I was headed left now you got me going right, you woke me up in the middle of my life, my love,

After reading the note I have tears falling from my eyes and a huge smile on my face. I look at the note one more time before I fold it back in half and put it inside my bedside table drawer.
Callie was right, it's still very early but Callie was also right, I can't go back to sleep. Especially after reading her perfect note.
I get up and make the bed. I pick up mine and Callie's underwear from the ground and place it in the hall.
I take a short shower and I get dressed. I go to Callie's old bedroom and get in. I pick up the clothes she has on the floor and throw them on top of the ones I put in the hallway.
I take the sheets of the bed and I put new ones on.
I leave the bedroom and close the door. I grab all the sheets and clothes form the hall and go downstairs to place them in the washing machine.
I grab a pen and a paper and I decide to write Callie a note as well.
"My Callie.."
After I finish it I place it in front of the front door so Callie can notice it right as she comes in.
I go back to the kitchen and sit down reading a medicine magazine. A second later I hear Callie come in. Perfect timing.
I hear Callie putting her keys down and grabbing the note.
I move my chair to the end of the table so I can look at her reading it.

Callie's POV
I look at the note.
I unfold it and start to read it.
"My Callie,
I remember a strong girl hiding behind science. I just a happy girl but with this huge absence.
I remember a girl with humble dreams hoping for the best. I was a girl with big intentions, the world on my chest.
I remember love like fire, hands held tight. I was barely getting by but your eyes were light.
We came from different worlds but it didn't slow us down, who knew? Who knew?
Who knew the barriers that we'd tare down and all the crowds we'd get her around, who knew the life we would've found?
I love you so much!
Love, Arizona!
Ps: I'm missing you so much too!"
I have tears running down my eyes and I take the note to my nose so I can smell it. It smells like Arizona. My favorite smell in the hole entire world. I hold the note on my chest and I let the tears fall down my cheeks as I smile so big.

Arizona's POV
I see Callie holding the note and I can't help but smile. Callie opens her eyes but doesn't even notice me.
Callie runs upstairs slowly and I laugh. She thinks I'm still asleep.
"Arizona?" Callie asks.
"In the kitchen!" I scream back.
Callie comes running down the stairs and I run to her. We meet in the middle of the hall and I jump on her wrapping my legs around her waist as Callie wraps her arms around my lower back.
I kiss her passionately.
"I love you!" I say and I pull back just a little bit. "Thank you for the note!" I kiss her again.
Callie pulls me up a little bit more and for a second caresses my cheek but then quickly puts her hand back on my waist not to drop me.
"I'm the one who loves you!" She says after she breaks the kiss. "And thank YOU for the note! It was perfect!" Callie kisses me. I smile as Callie bites my bottom lip just a little bit.
Callie puts me down and I grab her arms. I pull her hands to my mouth and I give both of them a soft kiss.
"Sorry if I'm heavy!" I say and I wrap Callie's hands around my waist.
"You're not! I'm just tired from my run!" Callie says planting a soft kiss on my nose. I smile!
"Ok then go take a quick shower! I'll make us breakfast!" I say as I smack Callie's bum.
