"Maddie? What are you talking about? I asked her.

"Oww! She punched me in the face!" The girl who pushed Maddie screamed.

I turned around and saw Zoie with red knuckles laughing.

"Zoie!"

"What?!?" She asked inoccently.

She turned around and punched her in the face again. The girl fell to the ground and Zoie started punching her in the stomach. Finally Brayden tried to intervene but she punched him in the stomach. Brayden grabbed ahold of her arms and literally lifted her in the air getting her to stop punching her.

"Okay, okay, okay. I'm done." Zoie said.

She walked over to the girl and held her hand out to the girl. I was the only person in the store who knew what she was about to do. And by the time i realized it, it was too late. As soon as the girl tried to take her hand, she punched her in the face one more time.

She walked away from the girl.

"Okay. Now I'm done." She said.

"What are you doing here guys?" I asked Zoie and Brayden.

"I sent you a text..." Zoie told me.

"Oh, well I was kinda busy..." I told her.

We both turned around to look at Maddie.

"Thank you guys for umm looking out for me, but umm... I have to go." She started to get up.

"Maddie. You seriously don't remember us?" I asked her. I could feel the tears coming to my eyes.

"I have no idea who you people are."

On the other side of Maddie, I could see Ash starting to cry. I could relate, because I was starting to cry too.

"Could one of you please tell me where my house is? I forgot." She said to us.

"Maddie, you live with me." I whispered.

Ash broke down. He ran to the bathroom, and Mikey ran after him.

I figured that there was only one thing to do.

"Hey Cerise, I need to talk to you." I told Maddie's mom.

Cerise had pretty much adopted me. Every time I would have a fight with my mom or dad, which was quite often, I would go to her house. She took me in whenever I needed it.

"What happened sweetheart?"

"It has to do with Maddie." I told her. She was getting suspicious. I should just get to the point. "Maddie hit her head and now she has forgotten everything." I rushed the words out of my mouth.

"What?!? Okay, umm... What do we do?" She asked me.

"That's why I called you! I don't know what to do, and I thought maybe her mom would like to have her home or be with her."

"Okay, umm... I'm sorry sweetie, but she needs to come home. I've already bought the ticket. You just have to insure that she gets on the plane."

I could feel the tears coming to my eyes.

"Whatever we have to do to make this go away." I told her.

"I'm so sorry sweetie. I know you wanted her to stay. If she gets better, I'll send her back, but I don't know when that'll be."

"Okay. I'll tell her, and I'll break the news to Ash. He's not gonna be happy. It'll be okay though. He'll understand. Okay, I've gotta go. Bye."

"I'm so sorry Lily. Bye."

I hung up. The tears I felt earlier were coming full force now.

"Maddie. Umm... You live in Texas, and your mom has bought you a ticket to go back home. You leave tomorrow." I told her.

"Okay. Umm.. Thank you. Where do I go for tonight?"

"We have to pack up your stuff anyway, so you'll come home with us."

"Okay. Thanks."

"No problem..."

I went into the bathroom and locked the door. I sat down with my back against the door and cried.

"Lily?" Mikey asked me.

"Yeah?" I choked through my sobs.

"Let me in." He told me.

"Mikey, this is a girl's bathroom." I told him.

"I don't care what it is! My two friends are crying their eyes out, and we all need to talk." He told me.

"Okay. Is Ash with you?" I asked him.

I started to unlock the door.

"Yeah he is, so let us in."

I unlocked the door, and in came Mikey and a very distressed looking Ash. I had no room to judge, I probably looked pretty similar.

"Guys, it wasn't your fault okay." Mikey told us.

"But if she hadn't been my girlfriend this never..." He was cut off by Mikey.

"I said it wasn't your fault okay!?!"

We both nodded.

"Ash, there's something I need to tell you..." I said.

"What?"

"Maddie has to leave. She's going home Ash." I started crying again, and so did he. "She may be able to come back if she recovers her memory. But for now, she needs to be home with her mom and brothers. I'm so sorry Ash."

"I understand. She needs to recover, and that's what's most important. I get it. I just need some space. I'm gonna ask Brayden if he can take me back to the house. I'll see you guys later." He told us.

He stood up and opened the door and left.

"Why am I such a terrible person?!?" I sobbed.

Mikey pulled me into a hug.

"You're not. Everyone has issues, its just a matter of solving them. You're nowhere near terrible. You're a great person and a great friend." He told me.

"I love you Mikey."

"I love you too Lily. Everything will be okay."

"I sure hope so."
