Songs

I sat down and tried writing the song that was due in a week for the 10th time today. Why didn't anyone tell me that songwriting was so hard?

I suddenly heard a knock on the door, but the person opened it before I could say anything.

"What are you doing?" Harry asked with a strange look towards me sitting on my stomach on the floor with a guitar beside me.

"Songwriting, what does it look like dork?" I replied with a smile.

Harry came over and laid down on his stomach beside me, looking over my song.

"Well, to me, it looked as if you were sitting on the floor for absolutely no reason." He told me, not bothering to take his eyes off the paper.

"Well, it does seem kind of pointless considering I can't write this song for anything." I said as I stood up and walked over to the bathroom and splashed some water on my face.

"Well, I like what you have so far..." Harry said from the floor.

"You mean a blank paper?"

"Yes, that's exactly what I meant!"

"Dork."

"Loser."

"You love me."

"What makes you say that?"

"I don't really know..."

Harry stood up and pulled me into a hug. He then grabbed my hand and walked towards the door.

"Where exactly are we going?" I asked as I followed him down the stairs.

"We." He paused as he turned to face me, "are going to go find a cure for your 'songwriter's block.'"

"What is that?" I asked him.

"It's a version of writer's block, but for songwriters. The boys and I made up the name for it for when we couldn't think of songs for our albums."

"Clever, but I think I'm just a bad songwriter."

"That's what the boys and I thought too, but that's not what the millions of teenage girls say when they show up to our concerts and spend their life savings on our merchandise."

"You guys really do know how to steal a teenage girl's money, don't you? I know how it feels to have to wonder if you should get the book for school or the t-shirt for One Direction. Every One Direction fan chooses the shirt."

Harry didn't say anything, but he laughed as we got into the car and he began driving to a destination yet to be discovered.

"So do you mind telling me where in the world we are going?" I asked as we turned left onto the main highway.

"Yes, I do mind." He said, not taking his eyes off of the road as he grabbed a hold of my hand.

"Ugh, fine!" I complained.

20 minutes and a nap later, we finally arrived at our destination, and Harry came around the side and opened my door for me.

"Why thank you young man." I said with smile, trying to hold back the laughter.

"Anytime your highness." Harry said with a bow.

I giggled as Harry helped me out of the car and we walked a little ways to a fountain. Harry sat down on the edge of the fountain and stared at the water, letting his thoughts take over. He seemed to be in a daydream for about five minutes, and I looked at the water trying to see if it would work for me too. It didn't. I sat there for a few more minutes before looking to Harry who was still in a trance.
