CD's and Returns

"Shut up! You're going to wake her up you idiot." I heard someone say.

"No need, I'm already awake." I said sitting up looking at the person in the room.

"Hey Mikey." I waved at him as I rubbed my eyes.

"Hey Lily." He said as I felt the couch sink due to another person sitting on it.

I leaned against the person and turned my head to look at Mikey.

"LUKE?!?" I screeched.

Mikey and Luke started laughing like crazy.

"Hey Lily." He said through his tears from laughing so hard.

"W- wait. Where'd you go?!? When did you find him?!? Why did no one call me? Why'd you leave!?! Answers people answers!" I said, shaking Luke by his shoulders.

"Calm down Lily." Luke said, grabbing ahold of my arms and removing them from his shoulders and onto my thighs.

"B-but-but... Ugh." I groaned as I put my head back on his shoulder and relaxed. "I'm glad you're back Lukie Pookie."

"What did you just call me?" He said while laughing.

"I've been working on that one for a while honestly. I thought it was funny." I said, laughing along with Mikey and Luke.

"Lily. I'm sorry. Harry never threatened me. I found myself caught in a corner and I didn't want to be stuck there. I'm sorry. And I'm sorry to both of you for running off." He said, pointing at me and Mikey.

"I don't understand... Why would you blame it on Harry?" I said, taking my head off his shoulder and looking him in the eyes.

"Because I knew that you would back off. I'm so sorry." He said as he stood up and left the room.

"Well I guess that settles that." Mikey told me.

"Yeah I guess so." I said. "CRUD!!"

I stood up and ran to my room to grab my phone, and I noticed that I had three missed calls.

I dialed a number and waited for the person to pick up.

"Mr. Pearson! I'm so so so sorry that I didn't come get the CD yesterday! We had a small family emergency and I had to stay home! I'm so sorry! If the offer still stands, I can come pick it up today." I wasn't necessarily lying... We did have a family emergency, and I did have to stay home because my only ride was gone.

"Yes, it's okay if you come pick it up today. Next time, the offer won't still be there. Am I clear?"

"Yes sir. Clear. Thank you so much!"

"Fine, come pick it up in an hour. And I hope everything is okay with your family."

"Thank you, I'll be there! And everything should be okay now, I hope."

He hung up the phone, and I had to make another phone call.

"Come on Harry, pick up the phone." I said out loud, waiting for Harry to answer the phone, but I had no such luck.

I really hoped that everything was okay...

"Mikey!" I yelled from my room.

"What!?!" He yelled back from downstairs.

"We need to go somewhere! Grab your keys!"

"Whatever! Meet me in the car!"

"Okay thanks!"

I just love how we can have conversations by yelling. It's both funny and time saving.

I ran downstairs and out the door and hopped into the car.

"Where are we going?" Mikey asked me.

"To the recording studio and fast!" I told him.

"Okay, hold on." He said as he put the car in drive and did a complete u-turn to leave the driveway.

We got there with two minutes to spare.

"Miss Ross. Almost thought you weren't going to show again." He said as he held my CD in his hand.

"I wouldn't do that unless it was absolutely necessary sir." I told him, and he handed me my CD. I squealed.

"Umm.. Sorry." I coughed out as Mikey held back his laughter.

"Mhmm..." Mr. Pearson said. "Come back here Wednesday and we'll talk more."

"Yes sir!" I said, getting really excited.

"See you then. Enjoy the CD."

With that, he was gone.

Mikey and I walked back to the car, and I couldn't hold it back anymore. I screamed. Not as loud as I could, but loud enough. It wasn't a help-me-I'm-being-murdered scream, more of a oh-my-gosh-i-have-my-own-CD-in-my-hands scream.

"Excited much?" Mikey said, giving me a weird look.

"Sorry and yeah!" I told him.

"Congratulations Lily, now let's get home and listen to it shall we?"

"I-i really want to listen to it with everyone though..." I told him.

"We'll listen to it on Wednesday after your meeting with that guy, and you can Skype Harry, and I'll Skype Maddie and Ash. Deal?" He said to me, extending his hand.

I spit in my hand and shook his,"Deal!"

"You did not do." He paused. "What I think you just did, did you?"

"I don't know, did I?" I winked and he wiped his hand on my shoulder trying to get my spit off of his hand.

We both laughed, and Mikey drove back home while I took a small nap.
