Darkness, emptiness. Those are the only coherent emotions present in Troye's head. Dizzy nausea swim around his abdomen as he stares, dead eyed, at the grey ceiling that seems somehow darker than before. It's as if the world is trying to mock him, constantly reminding him as to why everything feels grey. The loss of someone precious in his life is the cause of the fading colors, how things seem dull. The light that illuminates his path forward is somehow going out, the only bright glow that makes everything seem clear. For the first time he doesn't know what to do, his path is darkening and there seems to be no wind to blow him in the right direction. He feels like a leaf that has been ripped from it's branch, drifting helplessly in the wind. He rolls to his side, facing the headboard of the motel room bed. He can't seem to stand, or think, or even breathe. Everything is hard without her. Troye pulls his grey sweater sleeves down to cover his hands as he leans his head down to hide his face in them. He hates crying, even if nobody is around, it's a sign that he can feel pain, that he can lose pieces of himself. The more you feel the more you can lose. Troye furiously wipes away falling tears as he feels suddenly crippled. 'She's not dead.' He thinks to himself, 'She just doesn't want anything to do with you.' Evanna was the first girl that Troye ever felt anything for. You see up until the moment he met her he thought he was completely gay. Apparently that wasn't the case. Evanna showed him the beauty of loving a woman, it was magical. It's nothing now, a once burning fire reduced to nothing but ash, as fires always become in the end. Nothing can burn forever, Troye had to learn that the painful way. He forces himself into a sitting position when a rapping can be heard from the door. Troye stands and carefully opened the door, to reveal Tyler standing. He was visiting Troye from Los Angeles to check up on him. Troye opened the door wider, before turning and returning to his spot on the bed. Tyler carefully closes the door behind him, moving to sit by Troye.

"Troye." He says in a soft voice, earning no response from the stubborn Aussie.

"Troye please." He pleads softly, causing a slight shift in Troye, who was simply curling into a ball, hiding his tears.

"She misses you." Tyler finally said to him, causing Troye to stiffen up, before carefully unwinding. Troye turns to face Tyler, his eyes puffy and red causing Tyler's heart to break. He hates seeing Troye so upset. Troye looks at Tyler expectantly, waiting for him to continue.

"I went to see her before coming here." Tyler explained gently, scanning Troye's face, gauging his reaction.

"She's almost worse than you. She wants to forgive you but it hurts too much right now." Tyler says softly. Troye hangs his head as he remembers the night he had with the other woman. Being with Evanna has lit a fire in him he didn't know was there, like he lost control of himself for one night. He regrets it now obviously, and the morning after he cried on the way home. Maybe if he were to tell her what happened she might have been more understanding than reading the texts from the woman that he never answered. The tears and the throwing things at him were initial anger. But when he tried to pull her against him, she balled up her fists and punched him repeatedly until she collapsed to the floor, crying. She trusted him, and he took it and got into the pants of another woman. What a scumbag. 'I am a worthless scumbag.' Troye thought.

"This can still be fixed Troye." Tyler said softly, grabbing his attention again.

"It was just one woman, and this is a new feeling for you. Give her sometime, she'll come around." Tyler said, standing towards the door. 'I don't have time.' Troye thought as he followed Tyler.

"I'll go get you some food. It looks like you haven't eaten in a while." Tyler observes as he makes his way down the hallway finally. Troye shuts the door and returns to the bed. Minutes pass by, then an hour and he doesn't know how long he's been sitting there, still until a simple quiet knock sounds on the door. Figuring it's Tyler, Troye moves to open the door and turns to the bed again.

"Troye?" A small voice sounds behind him, making him freeze. He feels his body shaking as he realizes. Tyler didn't get food, he called Evanna. Troye stays still as he hears her steadily shaking breath.

"I-I forgive you Troye." She says again, taking a few steps towards him. He remains still, cautious. His eyes darting around the room. Suddenly he feels her small form pressed against his back, her little hands and arms hooking around his waist. He swivels around looking down at her, pressing her face into his chest. Tears stream down her face and he lets out a shaky breath. It's been 7 months since he's felt her arms around him, since he's had her here in front of him. He quickly wraps his arms around her, burning his head in her neck. Tyler wanders back into the room with a bag full of food in his hand and he stutters to a stop when he see's Evanna and Troye in a tight embrace. They separate and Troye looks up at Tyler.

"Did you call her?" He asks in a raspy voice and Tyler shook his head.

"Then how did..." He trailed off, looking down at Evanna.

"I found you." She said, hugging him again as he pressed a kiss to her hairline. They stayed together all night, with Tyler. Holding each other and laughing together. Troye started to feel better the longer she stayed around because Evanna was his physical embodiment of home.
