Dan had been planning this a while, a long while. He and Evanna had been together since July 15th 2009 and he couldn't wait any longer. He'd meant to propose ages ago but then everything with his book blew up and it never felt like the right time. But it was going to be perfect, he had been working so hard to plan everything out. He and Phil had even been vlogging most of it, to share with their viewers after it was done. 

Evanna sat on the bed, using Dan's laptop to scroll through Tumblr. She looked over the various photos on Dan's dash since she was too lazy to log in to her own account. Suddenly Dan's head poked into the room. 

"Hey baby we got the movie all cued up, you ready?" He asks her as all three of them had been planning a movie date since forever. She smiled, nodding as she stood. Evanna moved out into the hallway when Dan's arms wrapped around her. 

"What are you doing you goof?" She asked smiling as he held her tightly. 

"I dunno, do I need a reason for hugging you?" He asked letting go and moving past her. 

"I guess not." She smiled, shrugging. Phil smiled widely as they both plopped down onto the couch. Phil was curled up on the side closest to the fireplace while Dan stretched out on the other side, by the footrest. Evanna sat down next to Dan, fitting herself into his side as he threw an arm over her shoulders. He placed a soft kiss to her hairline as Phil pressed play on the movie. It was the first Harry Potter, since they were going to rewatch the series. Halfway through the movie Evanna felt herself yawn as she cuddled further into Dan's side, her eyes sliding shut. 

Dan looked down at her carefully, being careful not to wake her up. Phil turned the movie off, smiling as he noticed her sleeping form. Dan carefully untangled himself from her, which proved to be a challenge as she was gripping onto him so tightly. He slid one arm under her legs and placed the other behind her back, lifting her bridal style. Dan held her carefully as he made his way down the hall to their bedroom. He laid her on the bed as he went to the wardrobe, picking out one of his black t-shirts. This was the hard part, he had to now undress her and change her into her pajamas's without her waking up. Dan started by taking her socks off and unbuttoning her skinny jeans. He carefully began to slide them down her legs, untangling them from her ankles. He then moved to take her glasses off and lifting her shirt over her head. Dan reached behind her back and unclasped her bra, and then reaching for his t-shirt. He gently pulls the t-shirt down over her head, and her arms through the sleeves. The fabric ended mid-thigh as she is quite small. Dan readjusted her so that she was placed under the blankets. He pressed a kiss to her forehead as he threw all her clothes in the wash bin. He then changed himself and settled into bed beside her. As soon as he pulled the covers over himself, she migrated towards him in her sleep. She threw an arm over his waist as she rested her head on his shoulder. He smiled, kissing her forehead before he fell asleep. 

The next morning Evanna woke up to find she was completely alone in bed. Which was odd because Dan usually slept in longer than she did. She blinked the sleep out of her eyes to find his phone on the nightstand still. She moved out of bed, not bothering to put on pants as she ventured out into the flat. She peeked into Phil's room to find him missing as well, and the rest of the flat was empty. She itched the back of her neck as she noticed a note on the counter. 

Change into the dress in the box on the couch and be ready by 6 o'clock. Me and Phil will be out all day, sorry love. xx
love you. 

She recognized Dan's handwriting and moved to find the box on the couch. Sure enough a big black box sat on the couch. Evanna pulled the lid off and gasped when she saw the red dress inside. With it there was a pair of black heels, so she set them aside for later. She glanced at the clock noticing it was already 4:30. She must have been sleeping a while. Evanna sat on the couch and waited for the time to pass by. 

She waited eagerly at 6 o'clock with her hair curled and the gorgeous dress on. Suddenly there was a knock on the door and when she opened it she found Phil in a suit.

"Phil?" Evanna questioned. 

"Follow me milady." He says, smiling at her. She giggles nervously before following him outside to a car. He opens the back door for her and then moves to the driver seat. 

"Phil where are we going?" She asks as he pulls away, taking off down the street. 

"You'll see when we get there." Phil remarks with a playful smile. 

"Did Dan set all this up?" She asks him and he smiles glancing at the camera she doesn't know is there. 

"He did." Phil answers, looking ahead at the road. Evanna feels her heart swell as they make their way further out of London. Her eyebrows furrow as she recognizes the small little while building sitting in the distance, just outside London. Phil parks the car just at the end of the long winding road leading up the the restaurant. He moves and opens up the door for Evanna, helping her out. She looks down the road, loving how the trees make a canopy over the road and the street lights softly illuminate it. 

"What do I do?" Evanna asks Phil. 

"Walk down the road." He says and she does. She makes her way down the road, unaware of the camera's hidden in the trees. She noticed a piece of paper stuck to a street lamp so she takes it off. 

Hello love. It's a lovely evening wouldn't you say? Sorry for the long drive I hope it wasn't too bad. Do you remember this spot? This is where I kissed you for the first time 6 years ago. Can you believe it's been 6 years love? I remember being so nervous because you are so beautiful and clearly way out of my league! But for some reason you kissed me too. 

She continues walking until she reaches a tree with another note. Above the note is a carving that says. DAN + EVANNA. 

Do you remember when we came back for our first anniversary? We wanted to do something romantic and cliche so we carved our names into the tree. You told me you loved me for the first time, even though I already knew. I knew then that I loved you with all my heart and that I would always want to be with you. 

She took the note and made her way closer to the restaurant when she saw a note on the white railing by the stairs. 

It was here on these stairs that I realized I wanted to live forever with you. I realized that I want to spend the rest of my life with you. It was when we were laughing on these stairs in the pouring rain that I realized that the rain didn't matter if I was here with you. I love you with all my heart and soul Evanna, you're it for me. I will fight for us, if something were to happen I wouldn't let us go without a fight. 

Evanna began to tear up as she moved to the double doors when she saw another note. 

I'm waiting inside for you baby, I'll always be here waiting for you. 

Tears began streaming down her cheeks as she pushed open the doors. At the end of the hall she saw another note. 

Almost there baby, just turn left. I'm still here. :) 

So she did, she turned to the left to find Dan standing in a white room with one candle lit table.  Dan turned, smiling when he saw her. He was wearing a nice white button up with a black blazer. He moved towards her, grabbing her hands as he knelt down on his right knee. Evanna was full on sobbing at this point as he fished a tiny silver diamond engagement ring from his pocket.

"I love you so much. Evanna, will you marry me?" Dan asked, his heart hammering in his chest. She nodded, shaking.

"Y-Yes." She managed to mutter through her tears. Dan slid the ring on her left ring finger and then he stood to pull her into a kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck tightly, relishing his embrace.
