The next morning Halo and I just lay in bed cuddling for an hour when we finally get out of bed it is 10:30 Halo and I eat some food. As soon as I close the dishwasher Emily comes into the house and runs up to me.
"Jace!" She yells.
"Hi baby." I say.
"Where's Flint?" She asks me.
"I don't know."
"I'm going to find him."
"Okay." She goes to her room and Andrew comes running in in tears Anna behind him he hugs me.
"What happened?" I ask.
" I fell and my knees hurt now." He says.
"Okay." I look and blood was running down his knees and they were dirty. I pick him up and take him to the bathroom Anna follows I set him on the counter.
"It h-hurts Jace." He says as his body trembles and his voice shakes. He fights to breathe with how hard he is crying and his voice cracks.
"I know baby. I will make it feel better." I get a wash cloth and wet it down. I clean his legs and knees up. When I touch his knees he starts crying more he tries to push me away Anna grabs his hands he starts moving.
"You have to hold still." I tell him.
"It hurts!" He yells.
"I know but I have to fix it so it don't hurt."
"Hurry up!"
"I'm trying." Anna holds him while I fix him I finally get his knees cleaned up I get wrap around guase. Band aids weren't going to help. I wrap them around his knees it was breathable so it covers it but lets it heal. I put him down and wipe his face he stops crying.
"Feel better?" I ask him.
"Yeah."
"Okay." He leaves and Emily comes back with Flint in her arms holding him like a baby.
"I see you found him." I say:
"Yeah he gave me kisses."
"How sweet."
"I didn't know you got a cat." Anna says.
"Yeah he was a stray they begged me to keep him so I caved and let them keep him he really took to Emily."
"What's his name?"
"Flint."
"How cute."
"Yeah he sleeps with Emily and she feeds him and gives him water they cuddle on the couch and she plays with him."
"That's so cute."
"Yeah."
"You can pet him he loves petting. " Emily says. She holds him up like Simba in The Loin King.
"I'm good sweetie thank you." Anna replies to her and she puts him close to her chest yet again.
"Okay."
"I got a surprise for you." I say to her.
"What?" She asks me. She is now excited.
"Tuesday you get out of school after recess and you get your cast off."
"Yay I'm so excited!" She says.
"Yeah."
"Yeah." Anna leaves and I give the kids lunch Halo is still here though. Halo and I don't eat we sit on the couch. She puts her legs over mine. I rub my hands up and down them.
"Your legs are prickly." I say as the hairs rub my hand.
"Shut up your one to talk." She says and she has a point.
"It is different though."
"Well is there a problem with my prickly legs?"
"No no problem at all I don't care."
"Good."
"I think you are perfect just the way you are."
"You think so?"
"Yup, every single flaw you have. I love it I don't care if its your hair is messy or how much you eat, when you eat. I love you with no make up at all but you can wear make up any time smooth shaven legs or legs like mine I don't care I love it all."
"Are you serious?"
"Yup as serious as can be." We kiss and I keep rubbing her legs. Emily comes up to me and she sits behind me and Halo with her legs over Halo's then Andrew does the samething.
We sit on the couch all happy. I put both kids down for a nap. Flint follows Emily they curl up and go to sleep. I go back to the living room. I sit down Halo puts her legs over mine again her thighs over mine I put my hand on her knees. She leans up and we kiss I grab her face and shift my body we kiss again and again.
I get on top of her and we kiss. We just keep kissing for a while. I move to her neck and to her collar bone. I move to her other one and back up her neck. I kiss her jaw under her ear I suck on her neck for a brief second. I kiss her lips again.
"Jace!" Emily says. She walks around to the couch as she says this. It scares the crap out of me I look up and fall off the couch onto my back I hit the coffee table and Halo sits up. Emily gets down.
"Flint puked on my bed." She says to me.
"Okay I will clean it up go lay in my bed."
"I'm good I think you and Halo might need it."
"You're a smart ass come here." I grab her by the waist and flip her over she lands on me and lays on me. She laughs Halo does to.
"I will clean your bed go lay in mine."
"Okay." She gets up and goes to my room. I get up and go to her room. I take all her good blankets and pillows off the bed. I put them on the floor with any good stuffed animals.
I take the dirty stuff off and her sheets. I put her sheets in the washer I put her stuffed animals in a pillow case. I tie it and put it in the washer I start the washer. I scrub her bed where the wet spot was and let it dry.
I put a new sheet on her bed her pillows and put her blankets on I put her stuffed animals on it and leave.
"You wanna kiss."
"After you put those puked covered paper towels in the trash and wash your cat puke coverd hands."
"Awww that's the best part." I say wining and sticking my bottom lip out.
"You are such a guy. She says rolling her eyes and laughing.
"Nah I don't think that's it I think it's you only get puked, peed, and pooped on so many times it just becomes natural."
"Maybe." I wash my hands and dry them. I give Halo another kiss.
"Sorry about that."
"That's okay when duty calls duty calls."
"Yeah." We start kissing again she gets on top of me. She puts her hands under my shirt and lays them on my stomach. She keeps her hands there.
"Damn where do you work out?" She asks but we both knack the answer.
"Well I carry a back pack, two kids, a diaper bag, and sometimes 2 car seats so that's my work out. Plus I also lift motors and push cars."
"I could grate cheese on this thing."
"Well your welcome to do that any time."
"Okay your acting like a guy."
"Maybe." We keep kissing and my shirt goes up a little her hands now rubbing my chest. I grip her waist and pull her close. Her body rubbing on mine she takes her hands out of my shirt and pushes her body up against mine all the way. I start to get excited in more than one way. She gets on my neck I let out a moan.
"Okay oh my god how are you so good at this?" I ask.
"Well I don't really know." She says.
"Well it needs to slow down even if your ready now I'm not."
"Okay okay we can slow it down."
"Thank you." We kiss and she just lays on me.
"I don't know if I'm ready or not."
"That's okay I'm only 16 and to be honest we have only been together 2 weeks we don't need to rush into anything and I promise that when we are both ready it will be special and we
can sit down and talk about it anytime.
I'm not shy about talking about sex it don't bother me sure I crack jokes and say stupid things about it but at the end of the day it's serious and anytime you wanna sit down and talk about it. I will be here and more than happy to do so."
"You are truly amazing."
"I wouldn't say amazing."
"I would." We kiss and she smiles I love her smile. She lays her head on my chest. She gets up to get some water I stay layed down though.
"You going to get up?" She asks me.
"Nah I'm good I shouldn't move for like 15- 20 minutes." I say shaking my head.
"I didn't feel anything." She says winking at me. I roll my eyes and put a blanket over my lap and lay my arms down. I lean my weight on it. 30 minutes later the kids get up from their nap I give them a snack then Halo packs up and leaves.
I kiss her goodbye. An hour later I start dinner. I pack mine and Emily's lunch she picks her clothes out I pack the back pack. I get Emily in the bath and she decides her hair style for tomorrow. She gets her back pack and puts it by the door with her shoes and sweater.
They eat dinner and I give Andrew a bath and put them to bed. Monday was just a normal day. I dropped Andrew off got Emily on the bus and got to work. I work until five went to Anna's. I get the kids go home and do what I need to do with them. I put them to bed and do chores and go to bed.
Tuesday I do the same thing after I eat lunch I leave work and I go to the school. I pick Emily up and we go to the doctor.
"Okay lets get this cast off." He says to her.
"Yay." She says and we laugh. We go to another room the doctor cuts her cast off she washes her hand and arm really good. She moves her wrist all around. She does finger movements he pushes on her arm. It is sore from the cast. He takes another x-ray we wait in the room.
"I hope it is fully healed." She is bouncing out of her seat.
"Me to."
"That cast is annoying."
"Yeah I know."
"Okay I have good news." The doctor says as he walks back in.
"Okay." I say.
"Well her arm is fully healed and ready to go her wrist and arm will be sore for a couple days but she is all set."
"Yay I'm so happy!" She says.
"Thank you."
"You are welcome." We leave and go to Anna's house I pick up Andrew and tell Anna about Emily. We leave and go home. I do what I have to do and we eat after dinner I give them ice cream with whatever they want on it.
They play for a bit after eating while I do the dishes. When I'm done with the dishes I put them to bed. While I clean up the house I think about what happened with Halo. I'm not ready but it felt different with her. It felt so special that everything disappeared. The world, the responsibility, the kids, life, my breath it all went away.
Nothing else mattered but me and Halo she means so much to me and I don't wanna ruin it. I wanna take it slow and for it to be special. When the time is right and we are both very sure we are ready I have no issue talking about it and possible doing it.
I really don't wanna mess this up. I grab some clothes and go to take a shower I get undressed and get in. I stand under the water just thinking. I'm happy and excited. I get out get dressed and go to bed I fall alseep knowing that now my life is perfect.
The middle of October comes around and the kids start deciding what they wanna be for holloween. Emily has a lose tooth and is doing great in school. Flint is a happy healthy kitty and Emily's best friend.
I can't get them apart. Halo and I are still a couple she has been spending more time at my house including during the work week. We still haven't done anything besides kissing and some rubbing.
We have gone on a couple dates with out the kids. They were nice we went out to dinner or ice cream. We went to the movies once and a walk in the park. We are still moving slow we see each other everyday and everyone knows we are together.
Everyone also know that Zac has a son. He is doing great with that. He has gotten so mature in a short period of time. Halo and I offerd a baby shower but he didn't want it. His mom watches Zane. He took a week off to be with Zane.
He calls and texts me when he has a question. Zane is now 4 months old. It is Thursday and we are at lunch Halo is next to me so is Zac. We are eating.
"Did you do it?" He asks me and I wish he would stop it.
"No we haven't even talked about it yet.
"What."
"Dude I'm not you."
"True if that where the case you would have a kid."
"Or I can wear a condom."
"I did wear a condom. I have a drawer with condoms and I always carry one with me it broke."
"How rough where you?" I ask not really wanting an answer.
"Don't know."
"Well while you think about that I have to pee I will be back."
"Okay." I zip up my lunch box and head to the bathroom. I pee and when I leave the bathroom my phone rings it was the school.
"Hello." I say.
"Hi is this Jace?" A female voice greets me on the other end.
"Yes it is."
"Um we have some news about Emily. She woke up from her nap having a total fit. She had a nightmare and won't stop crying she is acting out and keeps crying for you we were wondering if you could come to the school."
"Ummm I have to talk to my boss and I will be there soon."
"Okay thank you."
"Yup." I hang up and run to Dan's office.
"Hey Dan." I say.
"Yeah."
"Emily is having a meltdown at school and-" he cuts me off with what I knew he was going to say.
"Go."
"Thank you." I grab my stuff and leave I get to the school. I go inside and up to the desk. She was in the councilers office. I walk in she was in the corner and wouldn't let the counciler near her. She was crying and coughing.
"Emily." I say softly. She sees me and her body trembles.
"J-Jace." She says her voice shaking.
She runs to me and hugs me I pick her up she tries to catch her breath. She lays her head on my shoulder and starts to calm down.
"Please Jace please take me home. I wanna go home and lay on the couch with Flint please Jace." She says. This one must have really spooked her.
"Okay sweetie."
"She is really upset I tried to get her to respond but she wouldn't she just kept crying for you."
"Okay I'm going to take her home it's really hard on her because of what happened and he has nightmares of my dad hurting me and my mom, his drinking and only I can calm her down."
"Yup I understand. Emily I hope you feel better soon sweetie." I thank her and I get a note and we pack her back pack. The teacher tells me what happened. I put her bag on my shoulder she gets her teddy bear.
She brings it to school with her everyday. I put her in the car and give her a tissue she blows her nose and I wipe her eyes. I get in the car and call Anna. She says she will still take Andrew until 5 and drop him off.
"You wanna tell me about your nightmare?" I ask her.
"Yeah."
"Okay."
"Daddy found us and broke into the house. He had a gun and went to shoot me and Andrew but you jumped in front of us and got shot in the shoulder. You where laying on the floor and I went to see if you were okay but dad pushed me and grabbed your throat.
He hit you in the shoulder you where shot in then stabbed you in the stomach with a knife. He stabbed you three times and choked you he left the house I went to see if you where okay and your eyes where closed. I shook you but you wouldn't open them. I yelled your name but you didn't answer. I layed my head on your chest and I didn't hear your heart." She says new tears forming.
"It's all okay sweetie my heart is still beating. I'm okay I was making fun of Zac."
"Yeah I'm just scared."
"Well it's all okay baby I'm fine." We go home and she finds Flint. They cuddle on the couch this is by far the worst nightmare she has had. Flint leaves her and she comes up to me.
"Can we cuddle I wanna listen to your heart?"
"Okay." I pull her up on me and she lays on me, her head on my chest. We cover up and watch Tom and Jerry. Flint comes on the couch and lays down. We watch boomerang together.
"I hear your heart." She says a smiling forming on her face.
"Really?" I ask her and she nods her head.
"Yeah it's beating loud."
"Well beautiful girls make my heart beat fast and loud, you and Halo." I say.
"You think I'm beautiful?"
"Of course your so beautiful, no matter what and anyone who says different is wrong."
"You are my favorite boy next to Flint and Andrew."
"Well thank you and next to Halo your my favorite girl."
"I love you."
"I love you to, you want some ice cream?" She nods her head.
"With toppings?"
"Of course!"
"Then yeah."
"Alright lets go." We get up and we take the ice cream and all the toppings we can find out. I get bowls and spoons. She picks out her ice cream she puts it in her bowl and puts her toppings on. I do the same we swap things.
I put whipped cream on her nose. I mix are ice cream up good and we go to the living room. We watch some more Tom and Jerry. We laugh and eat are ice cream.
"What do you wanna be for Halloween?"
"I don't know."
"Well I'm going to be spider-man."
"Really."
"Yeah."
"Can I be bat girl?"
"Yeah is that hat you wanna be."
"Yeah I wanna be bat girl."
"Bat girl it is." 5:00 comes and Anna texts me saying she is on her way. I start dinner. Andrew comes into the house I unzip his sweater and he takes it off I hang it up. He hugs Emily.
Anna leaves and they eat dinner. Friday morning I wake Emily up she wants to go to school so she gets dressed and eats breakfast. She gets on the bus and I leave for work I drop Andrew off. I get to work and clock in
"Hey babe." She kisses my cheek.
"Get a room." Zac says.
"Well you don't have problems doing that, by the way how's your baby?" I say.
"Thanks."
"You're welcome." We get to work and just work until it is lunch time. Halo is sleeping over for the weekend. After work we both go to Anna's. Halo makes her bag Emily helps her I grab the kids.
We head to my house. We go inside Halo puts her stuff in my room and Emily and I go through her back pack while I start dinner. I see a tooth shaped box taped to her folder.
"What's this?" I ask her.
"Something special." I open it and her first tooth was inside it. I cover my mouth. She smiles and I see the missing tooth on the bottom. I give her a hug and she keeps smiling.
"Put it under your pillow and the tooth fairy will come for you."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Yay!"
"I'm so sad."
"Why?"
"You are getting big and I don't like it."
"I do."
"I know."
"Halo, I lost my tooth." She says.
"That's great sweet heart I'm so happy for you!" Halo says.
"It feels weird."
"Yeah that happens." We eat dinner and Halo does Emily's dolls hair and dresses it up. 7:00 comes and I put the kids to bed.
"We should go dance." I say.
"Where?" She asks totally confused.
"Out back."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, it will be fun."
"Okay." We go out back and I put on some music from my phone and we slow dance under the porch light. Her head on my shoulder and my hand behind her on her back.
"I was thinking." She says.
"About?"
"Well that nightmare really scared Emily and I was thinking it would be fun if I took her for a girls day tomorrow."
"And what would you do?"
"Well we could get are nails done are hair done get some lunch and go shopping."
"That sounds like fun."
"She has asked me some very good questions today when I was packing."
"Really like what?"
"Well she was folding my shirts and out of no where asked if we were going to get married."
"Really."
"Yeah then she asked if we were going to have a baby."
"That's interesting what did you say?"
"I told her I don't know and that we are still young and have plenty of time think about it. I think if I talk to her and just asked her what she thinks about us dating and what's going on then maybe she could understand it better."
"I think so and it might be easier if you talk to her about it because girl to girl will work better then girl to boy."
"Yeah I think so to."
"I love that she looks up to you it makes me feel so much better about her getting older and growing up. My job is to beat up the boys not talk about them and how hot they are."
"Well she is very safe with you around."
"Yeah I guess she is."
"You are an amazing brother and to her your the best man in the world to her your the only boy that exists that she looks up to."
"Zac."
"I shouldn't have to explain that."
"Yeah true."
"But seriously your amazing not many 16 year olds could juggle 2 kids, a full time job, taking care of a house, paying bills, and still being a teenager."
"Well I couldn't do it with out you guys."
"It doesn't matter how you do it you do it and your damn good at it that's all that matters."
"I make it look easy."
"I bet you do." We continue dancing and we kiss I pick her up and she puts her legs on my sides we keep kissing. I set her down the misquitos start biting so we go inside. I make some popcorn and put some M&M'S, and skittles into it. I give her a bowl and I take a bowl. We watch a movie on Netflix. We cuddle on the couch under a mix of minions, princesses, and transformer blankets. After are movie I decide to take a shower.
"Can I get in there really quick I have to pee?" She asks me.
"Yeah."
"Okay." I get some boxers, a shirt, and pj shorts. Halo comes out and I take a shower. I get out and lay down.
"You smell good." She says.
"Do I?"
"Yeah you do."
"What do you wanna do?"
"I don't really know.l She puts her hand on my upper leg. I wrap my arm around her and we hold hands. We cover up and start kissing. She gets on top of me and runs her fingers through my wet hair. It was close to damp.
We keep kissing she starts touching my upper body and rubbing it under my shirt. I grip her waist. She looks at me and puts her arms on my shoulders. We put are foreheads together.
*Morning*
I wake up with her facing me. I get up and go pee. I start making breakfast. Emily gets up and comes running into the kitchen. She had a $5 bill in her hand.
"The tooth fairy came look what she left." She says.
"That's awesome sweetie go put it in your piggy bank." I say.
"Okay." Halo gets up and comes over to me she puts her arms around my waist and puts her chin on my shoulder.
"Well Emily is happy." She says.
"Yeah she is but she is always happy."
"It means she is loved."
"Halo!" Emily says.
"What."
"The tooth fairy came!"
"I herd, hey I got a surprise for you." Halo says picking her up.
"What?" Emily asks still having the biggest smile on her face.
"After breakfast we are going out for a girls day."
"Where!"
"Well I was thinking we could go get are nails done then get are hair done then go for lunch then go shopping."
"Okay."
"Alright."
"Well ladies breakfast is ready." They sit down and I give them their breakfast. Andrew comes into the kitchen. We sit down and eat.
"If you ladies are going out today then I'm taking Andrew out." I say.
"Where?" Halo asks me.
"Well we could go to the park then we can go shopping and lunch then a movie." I say.
"You are going shopping?" She asks me giggling.
"I need cat food okay." I say and she giggles more.
"Okay." She says. After breakfast we all get dressed I change the litter box while Halo does her make up. I get Andrew and put him in the car I give Halo Emily's car seat and she puts it in her car. Emily gets in her car I grab the soccer ball and put it in the car.
Halo has a key to my house so I'm not worried about her getting there before me. I leave and Halo soon follows in suit behind me. I head to Walmart first. I put Andrew on my shoulders and get going I get cat food, cat litter, band aids, and paper towels . We go to the kids section.
Andrew gets a pair of shorts, a shirt, and a pair of pjs. I get a shirt and a pair of shorts. We head out and I put the stuff in the truck. We go to the park and he swings on the swings I swing next to him.
Then we go down the slides. We kick the soccer ball and plays on the monkey bars I hold him up as he goes across. I go across the monkey bars. I make it there and back. Andrew claps and we play on the see-saw. He laughs and smiles. I take a picture as he does so.
We leave the park when we are both hungry. We go to a near by restaurant and we go to the bathroom and wash up I wash up his knees, arms, face, and hands. We sit down at are table. He gets some macaroni & cheese with watermelon and chicken strips. I get a salad with mixed fruite. We both get some lemonade.
"I'm having fun." He says as he dips piece of cut up chicken in his ranch.
"That's good I'm having fun to."
"Where is Emily and Halo?"
"No clue I think they are getting lunch."
"Oh okay. " We eat are food and talk. We leave we go to the movie theater. He picks out the movie I get tickets and snacks. We go inside and watch the movie when we leave it is 3:30. We head home when we get home Halo isn't there yet.
We bring are stuff inside and put it away. Andrew helps me feed Flint. I put the food and litter away. I put some clothes in the washer and fold the ones in the dryer. Halo and Emily come through the front door. Emily had 2 bags and Halo had 2 bags with her car seat.
They were both wearing sun glasses. Emily had rainbow died hair with some bleach blond die it looked really pretty. Halo had die her hair blond and put black, blue, purple, and orange streaks. Her hair looked pretty to. She sets Emily's car seat down and takes her sun glasses off.
"I don't know how you do it but you make that look hot." I say.
"I'm gifted." She says letting a breath out.
"Yes you are." I say.
"Did you boys have fun?"
"Yes we did and we both need baths to."
"What did you do?"
"Well a trip to the park is never complete without getting totally dirty."
"Yes that is right."
"See my nails." Emily says putting her hands in front of me.
"Oh that's fancy."
"Yeah and my hair."
"Yeah it's pretty what's in the bags?"
She grabs the two bags she was holding and pull out a dress that had a blue, sparkly, poofy skirt with a blue top that had flowers all over it. She pulls out a outfit.
It has jean shorts with flowers on it and a t-shirt that had the number 36 on it it was set up like a jersey. Then she pulls out a pair of high top converse that have hearts on the side.
She grabs the other bag and pulls out a coloring book. She pulls out crayons, markers, and coloring pencils. She also pulls out a outfit and shoes for her big 18in doll.
"Dang you where spoiled today."
"I could spoil you later tonight." Halo says.
"Sounds tempting lets get past dinner first though." I reply.
"Okay." They take their shoes off and Emily gets her doll she puts the outfit on it.
"What are you going to wear to school Monday?" I ask Emily.
"My dress some jean shorts and my high tops."
"The we have to wash your dress and I have to find some jean shorts."
"I have some on my bed."
"You wore those Friday remember."
"Yeah, then I don't know."
"I will figure it out."
"Hey Emily do you wanna color" halo asks her.
"Yeah."
"Okay get your stuff Andrew you wanna color?" Halo looks at him.
"Yeah." He says.
"So miss Halo what did you get?" I ask her.
"Well I got a shirt that says what ever because I say what ever a lot." She says.
"Yeah, you do what else?"
"I got a pair of high tops converse and a pair of jean shorts. I got a tank top with a skirt. I needed a new charger cord so I got that. I got some lip gloss and so did Emily. We got hair ties and clips."
"That's nice."
"Yeah."
"You do realize that by coloring you just got yourself more coloring sheets."
"Yeah I do but oh well." We color and I finish dinner. We eat and the kids build Legos while Halo and I talk in the kitchen.
"So did you talk to her?" I ask her.
"Yeah I did." I throw her a bottle of juice from the fridge and sit down.
"When?"
"When we got are nails done."
"What did you say?"
"Well, I asked her what she thinks of us dating. She said she likes it and she likes it when I'm around and when I spend the night here.
I asked her what she thinks about the future and what could happen. She said that I'm going to move in. We are going to get married and have a baby.
It will be a girl then we are going to have another baby, but we will move to a bigger house so that way that baby can have a room and it will be a boy."
"She has been saying that since she could talk she is very hopeful."
"Yes she is but that's what I love about her."
"Yeah she had fun I can tell."
"We took the cutest selfie."
"Can I see?"
"Yeah." She shows it to me and sends it to me I make it my lock screen picture. We sit there.
"I'm glad you ladies had fun." I say.
"I'm glad you boys had fun." Halo says.
"I have to get Andrew in the bath."
I put him in the bath and wash him up I take him out and get him dressed. 7:30 I lay them down for bed. I find some jean shorts for Emily and wash her dress.
I put her outfit on a hanger and her shoes under it in her closet. Halo and I cuddle on the couch I play with her hair. We go to bed around 10 after a quick make out session. Sunday Halo leaves and I clean the house the kids help.
I pack mine and Emily's lunch, do laundry, make sure her bag is packed, pack the back pack, and put laundry away. I make dinner and we eat. I do the dishes and make sure Emily's gets a bath.
They go to bed and I take a shower. I clean up my room and bathroom. I make my bed and plug my phone in. I lay down and turn the tv on. I fall asleep to the sounds of cartoons.
