We land in California early that morning at about 5:00 A.M. We get to the cabin house and it is beautiful. The bedroom is huge and there is a sliding door that leads to a beach. The sun coming up over it.
We are tired and we just want to go to sleep for now. We tried to sleep on the plane, but Halo couldn't get comfortable so I stayed awake with her dozing off every now and then. I take my shirt off and she takes her skirt off.
The shirt she is wearing is kinda long so it covers her body. We lay in bed and quickly fall asleep once she gets comfy with her body up agains mine. I wake up and Halo isn't in bed. I hear water running in the bathroom.
The sun comes through the window of the sliding door and brightens the whole room. I get up and go to the kitchen. I don't know what she is doing at the bathroom. I look through the fridge.
I find some eggs and bacon. I find pancake mix in the cabinet. I decide to make her breakfast. While she does whatever she is doing in the bathroom, I make the pancakes, eggs, and bacon.
She comes out with some light camouflage pants that go a little past her knees on and a grey crop top with a white tank tops underneath it. Her hair wet.
"Breakfast!" She says.
"More like lunch." I reply, it is close to 1:00.
"Well it works."
"Why a tank top under your shirt?" I ask her, she usually never does that.
"I don't know, I guess I just don't like being pregnant on our honeymoon." She says as I place a plate in front of her with a knife and fork.
"Well, I think it is cool." I say.
"Then you are the only one." She says. We eat our food and go to the store to go shopping. Since we have gotten together as a couple we have saved up for certain things, wedding, baby, honeymoon, and some extra just in case.
We have all we need. We go back to the beach house and put the food away.
"What should we do?" I ask her.
"How about nothing. Absolutely nothing." She says.
"Sounds good to me." I say bending down to kiss her lips. We spend all day doing nothing, we just lay on the couch. We call the kids and let them know we are okay and having fun. They are with Anna at the moment.
We make some dinner then I shower. I come out in my towel. It is getting dark out. The sun is almost set and it is a lot cooler outside. I come out in my towel.
"How about a swim?" I ask her.
"Yeah, just let me get ready." She says to me. I put my swim suit on. I go outside with a towel. I throw the towel in the sand and walk into the water. It is warm and feels good gliding against my bare upper body.
I go in up to my chest. I just float around then I hear the glass door slide shut. I look up and start going ashore. She has on her bikini and a shirt over it she comes into the water and before I know it her hands are on my chest.
"Why are you wearing a shirt?" I ask her.
"Because of my stomach." She says.
"Why?" I ask. I really don't see why she hides it. I think it's the coolest thing in the world. I grab the hem of the shirt biting my lip.
"You know," I say whispering in her ear. "You are so sexy pregnant, and I will never understand why you like to hide it behind clothes. It is the most amazing thing ever." I say and I lift the shirt up. She doesn't do anything, she just lets me do it. I take the shirt off her body and throw it onto the beach.
She turns around and puts her stomach up against mine and just looks at me in the moonlight. I hold her as the small waves roll around our bodies and we stand there in the moonlight. We swim around for just a little bit before she starts shivering.
We go on the shore and I wrap her in my towel. I pick her up and carry her inside and lay her on the bed. I get on top of her and kiss her. She smiles at me in between kisses. I kiss her neck and behind her ear.
She keeps her hands behind my neck and I wrap my arms around her back as she gets on top of me.
*Next Day*
*18 Weeks Pregnant*
I wake up and Halo is still in bed. My head hurts just a little. I go to the kitchen and make myself some food. I eat then take a shower. Halo sleeps through everything though.
It has been a long couple days. Halo gets up around 11 and I make her some food as well. She eats then we chill with a movie.
"Wanna go to the movies tonight?" I ask her.
"Sure, that sounds fun." She says to me.
"Okay, so how about we get some dinner then we go see a movie?"
"That sounds good." She says to me. So around 4:00 we get dressed and go to a restaurant. We order our food and wait for it to come.
"I am thinking, now that everything else is out of the way, we need to focus on the baby now." I say and she nods her head.
"Yeah, but we have plenty of time for that. The sooner we get it done the more we get inpatient." She has a point.
"I just wanna know what we are having." I say.
"Yeah, me to, I don't care what it is but a boy would be nice."
"Yeah, it would be." I say. We get our food and eat. We pay and leave the restaurant then we go to the movie theater. It is huge, it is fancy as well. Leather seats and a screen so big even sitting in the back you have to look up.
We get snacks and drinks than sit down and wait for it to start. She snuggles close to me. We watch the movie then we go back to the cabin. I put some shorts on and lay in bed. It's late and we both are tired. We call the kids and say goodnight to them before going to bed.
*3 Days Later*
We have just been relaxing, we went shopping at the mall yesterday. We go some things for the baby and the kids. We go some stuff for Anna, Zac, Chloe, Blake, Ryker, and Zane. We will be here for another couple days, we just like getting away for a little bit.
We want to go home though. We want to see Rebel and the kids.
*2 Days Later*
We wake up early and finish throwing any last things in our bags. We go to the air port and board our plane. We had fun but we want to go home. Emily has a soccer game tomorrow and we will be there.
Tomorrow is Saturday so everyone is coming out to see it. Halo tries to sleep yet again but she can't get comfy. We hold hands most of the way and wait for the long flight to get over with just so we can get off the plane and go see the kids.
The plane finally lands and we grab our things and get in the car. Zac came to get us. He drops us off at home and gets back to work. I run to get the kids from Anna. I take them home and we clean the house. Halo lays down because she isn't feeling to good.
The trip took it out of her, and her stomach is hurting from the baby. Her back hurts to. She sleeps for a while then she comes down stairs to the kitchen where I am preparing dinner and Rebel is running in circles.
"You are going to make yourself puke kid." She tells Rebel, she stops and looks at Halo.
"Why?" She asks.
"You get dizzy." Halo responds.
"Oh." She says then she just walks to Halo, she crawls on Halo's lap as she has sat down. I go to the couch and sit down.
"How are you feeling?" I ask her. I take a sip of my soda.
"My stomach still hurts from the baby." She says putting her hair up. "Can I have a sip of that?" She asks me and I hand it to her. She hands it back to me and I place it in a cup holder of the couch. She crosses her legs and Rebel sits in it.
She starts moving back and forth.
"Don't do that Rebel!" Halo says putting her hand over her stomach.
"Why?"
"You can hurt the baby."
"Oh, sorry baby." Rebel says.
"Be nice to mommy and your brother or sister."
"Okay, sorry mommy." She says, it is hard to stay mad at her that's for sure.
"It's okay, just don't do it again."
"Okay, mommy." We watch some tv and Rebel drinks out of a sippy cup. She leans on Halo. I am so glad we are married and I have everything now. My wife, my daughter, my brother, my sister, my new son/daughter, and everything I have ever wanted. I look at Halo and we just smile at each other.
I guess she can read my mind as well as I can hers.
*May 29th*
*25 Weeks Pregnant*
Today we go to the doctor to find out what Halo is having. The kids get out June 1st in three to four days. Life being married if awesome so far. We don't really feel any different then we did before we got married. I know that it will be hard but I don't think it has hit us yet.
It will soon enough. Karate starts soon. She is ready to switch all ready. I don't blame her. The appointment is at 3:00 so we have to get the kids and get there. We go to work and we pick them up then we go to the doctors office. We wait for her to call us back.
It is the same doctor from when she was pregnant with Rebel. Rebel is with Anna. Halo lays down and pulls her shirt up. The doctor puts the jelly on her stomach and then the camera.
"Do you guys want to know?" She asks us.
"Yeah." We say and she nods her head.
"It's a girl!" The doctor says.
"Damn." We say. "That's okay though."
We leave the doctors office to tell the kids. They stayed in the waiting room.
"What is it?" Andrew asks.
"Girl." Halo says. He shrugs his shoulders. We go out for dinner then we go home. The kids get ready for school tomorrow and then bed. They are glad summer is coming up.
I already know that in a couple weeks of summer they will want to go back to school. Once the kids are in bed we put all the clothes that Rebel can't wear but still look good in the baby's room.
We have gotten a crib and Anna bought a changing table. Zac is bringing a tote full of girl things to the house tomorrow from Blake. We will put those up tomorrow. We sit on the couch and eat ice cream.
"Well, another girl." I say.
"Yup, a Scarlett."
"I guess we have to try again."
"Well then the third is our last. I don't care if it's a girl or boy."
"Yeah, I agree, 5 kids kinda scares me. More than five gives me the chills." I say and she laughs at me.
"Isn't that the truth." She says.
"Are you up for a vacation this summer?"
"Not really. Even if I have her before the summer is over neither is us will be with a baby on the move and two energetic kids, plus a newborn. If Zac and Chloe want to take them I don't care."
"Yeah, I agree with that." I say. I just want her to come. I want to hold her and teach her. I want to teach her how to throw a football and roll in mud, yet do her hair and help her pick her clothes out.
I want to teach her so many things, I can't wait until the day she takes her first breath, step, roll, crawl, and says her first words. Being a dad is amazing and I wouldn't trade it for the world. It isn't easy but it's amazing as it is.
Watching Rebel grow is the best part that makes it all worth it. I want to see Scarlett do that as well. See her run and play, grow and get big. I want to teach her to be a good person and love everything and everyone. Now it is just a huge waiting game that's tough to wait for the end result.
