All Things Go - Chapter Thirty Three

I have been nothing but happy the past month. My baby boy is healthy and he's doing great. He's such a little cutie and he looks just like Derek - even though he claims he looks like me. 

The only bad thing about this is that I cannot sleep. Abel cries nonstop and it's very tiring but I wouldn't trade him for the world. Derek and I take turns getting him when it's the middle of the night but it's mostly Derek who goes because he doesn't want to have me stressed out.

Derek wasn't lying when he said that he was going to take a year off of his music, he hasn't gone to the studio once since Abel was born. I keep telling him that I want him to go back to the studio to make music for his fans but he's not having it.

He says he doesn't want to miss out on one of the most important year of his life. 

My brothers come out to visit once every two weeks and I'm happy about that. My dad flew out when Abel was born which was great. As usual, my mom didn't come which is okay. I don't really care, she doesn't have to be in his life. He has a grandma on Derek's side.

I was surprised when Sam came and visited when I was in the hospital. I didn't think he'd come, I haven't spoke to him since the Skaterade Tour - which was also the last time I saw him. I don't even know how he knew I had the baby, I'm guessing Nate probably told him.

I'm also really happy that my baby bump is gone. I can now put my shoes on by myself, which I am thankful for.

I was sitting down on the couch, giving Abel his bottle, when the doorbell rang. I groaned and was about to go answer the door when Derek stopped me. "No, I've got it."

I sat back down on the couch while Derek went to answer the door. "Your daddy never lets me do anything," I joked to Abel as I continued feeding him his bottle. "He's nice, though, and I appreciate it."

"Um, baby, you have visitors," Derek stated as he came back into the living room. "I'll take the baby while you go and talk to them."

I stood up and handed Abel to Derek very carefully. Who could be here for me? I walked over to the front door and I scoffed as I opened it. "What are you people doing here?"

"I came to see my grandson and the girls came to see their nephew," my mom stated in a duh tone.

I shook my head. "No, you're not seeing my son. I don't care if you're my mom, you are not seeing my child. You think that after you kicked me out of your wedding and haven't spoken to me since - that was months ago by the way - that I am going to let you see my son? No."

"And you really think that I am going to let you two around my son? You'd be lucky if I even let you breath the same air as him. You two aren't coming around my child either. After everything you two put me through? No way."

My mom sighed. "Look I am sorry about everything that happened a few months ago. I'm sorry that I haven't talked to you since then, I'm sorry I kicked you out of my wedding, I'm sorry that I'm a terrible mother but I just want to see my first grandson. And the girls have gotten themselves together over the past few months too."

"I don't want you to see my son," I shrugged. "You guys have been nothing but terrible to me the past year and I don't want you guys around him. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, I just don't want you guys to see him."

"Please, Alyssa, I am begging you. Let me see my grandson at least once."

I sighed lightly. "Fine, whatever."

okay so TELL ME WHY WILL HARRIS ALLOWED THAT HR IN THE 9TH? NOW IT'S TIED 1-1 AND WE'RE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE 11TH INNING! I AM JUST TRYING TO WATCH ARE YOU THE ONE BUT I CANT DO THAT IF THE GAME IS GOIN ON!

In my honest opinion, I think we were wayyyy better with Valbuena at 3rd and Gonzalez at 1st. Bregman and White might have been amazing in the minors but they're not that good in the majors so far. Since White got recalled, I think he's only gotten 1 hit and Bregman has only gotten 1 hit. he's like 1-25. KEEP IT UP AND YALL GON TURN OUT LIKE AJ REED!

We need them, though, since Gomez is injured, Valbuena is injured, and I think Gonzalez is injured rn too. BUT I SWEAR THE SECOND THEY GET GOOD AGAIN, I WANNA SEE THEM BACK IN THE LINEUP! 'CAUSE THE ONLY HITTERS THAT ARE DOING GOOD IS ALTUVE, CORREA ( SOMETIMES ), AND SPRINGER!

RASMUS IS TRASH NOW! BEFORE HE GOT THAT 2 RUN HR THE OTHER DAY, HE WAS 0-29! GET IT TOGETHER LIL BOY! UGH JUST UGH
