Is it tacky or selfish to use myself as the main character in one of my book?

Y/n's pov

I sit on a park bench watching Hayes push our daughter on the swings. I'm so happy the way our family turned out. Me and Hayes had problems in the beginning of our marriage. Probably just doubt and hesitancy of marrying the wrong one.

Growing up with split parents it was always hard. Them always asking me to choose between them or alternating weekends where I could only see one of my parents the majority of the time.

Me and Hayes are trying to give our best for our child. We don't fight in front of her. Our arguments are short and quite. I don't want the same as I had for my kid.

It seems like most kids parents now are never together. And there so lonely and broke. I want to be there for my baby, to watch her grow into a beautiful young woman.

To help her with boyfriends and heart breaks. To be there to watch Hayes walk her down the isle. To see her with her own kids, when she asks me for advice.

I get lost in my thoughts and don't realize Hayes is sitting next to me with our crying child.

"What happened baby?",I ask her.

"She tripped and fell on the sidewalk", Hayes answers for her.

"Aww, are we gonna have to cut you foot off",I say and pull her onto my lap.

She shakes her head and tucks her face in my neck. She finally calmed down as I rub her back.

"Are you okay now?",I also her. She nods and jumps off my lap.

"Mommy can I go play now?",she asks, wiping her tears.

"Yes baby you can go play, just be careful",I say. She nods and runs off.

"'Are we going to have to cut you foot off?'",Hayes questions me.

"What, parenting skills on fleek",I laugh. He laughs and kisses my temple.

"I love you",he says.

"I love you too. Both of you",I reply and smile.
