Short recap :

Dad gave out a nervous chuckle and took a deep breath. Just as he was about to open his mouth, mom said, "We're moving to Tennessee.."

WHAT?!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE'RE MOVING?!", I said in a tone that is louder than it should be. Chris nudged my arm a little, silently asking me to calm down. Why is he so relaxed about this?! We're freaking moving!! As in there's a chance we're not even coming back!! Doesn't he like it here? As far as I know, there are x100 more bitches here than in Tennessee!

I looked at mom, but she just keep looking on the ground. I then looked at dad, waiting for him to continue, but when he didn't, I pressed on harder, "What. Do. You. Mean. We're. Moving?", I asked slowly but putting a very obvious tone of anger.

Dad looked at Chris, and from the corner of my eye, I saw Chris tilting his head forward a bit asking for an explaination too. Dad sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, "My boss opened a new branch there and he wanted me to help him expand the place, meaning he's putting me in charge, making me the boss. I'm getting a raise, this is a steady job, my boss even bought a country side house and he said he's providing and paying everything we need! Whether its for business or private matter!" , dad's hands were opened up big to express how 'great' this deal is. His head was looking up at the ceiling, I rolled my eyes and put my hands on my hips, still waiting to be convinced.

"Well, dad. Are you sure you want this?", Chris asked. Dad nodded his head enthusiastically, "Its my dream to this this. Where I get to be the boss, where I didn't need to take orders from someone. I'm really happy to get this job, so I'm hoping as a family, we could do this together.", dad really sounded sure about this. I mean, I would die just to keep him this happy. "You sure your boss is serious about this? I mean, it sounded too good to be true dad. What man would willingly give this much benefit to his workers?", I said, making sure dad knows what is he getting himself into.

"I'm sure about this pumpkin. Its a fair trade, because raising a new branch is really hard. Plus I had been working for him for fifteen years. He knows what I could handle and what I couldn't. If it doesn't work out, I'll be sent back here to help him. He sees potential in me. He knows I can do this. Now the thing is...do you?". He said with this determination in his eyes, like some old fire in him had just reignited, the kind of fire that I don't want to wash away from him. But then..Ken..Jenny..my future..I know I said that I don't really like the city life, but I'm not the type of person that is fond of changes. It freaks me out and I tend to overthink stuff.

Chris cleared his throat akwardly, he sighed before saying, "Dad...I do trust in you, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to prove it to you. Even if it means moving.". Dad flashed his warm smile at Chris doing that very fatherly hug. For the first time since this whole 'discussion', mom looked up, looking somewhat relieved as she smiled to the two guys hugging.

It really would be selfish of me to not agree to this right? But then again, I really don't like the country life. It seems so boring. I mean, yeah, as shown on tv, there's a lot of horses there, but after a while, you'll get really tired of them, and what about Glory? Is she allowed to come with us? I'm embarrassed to say this, but I never sat on an airplane before. Well, I sorta did, but it was when I'm still a week old in my mother's womb. Its not counted. Yes, yes I know..sue me now! I'm 16 and I never sat on an airplane. Wonder why do I still dare to call myself a city girl.

"I'm sorry pumpkin, but its three against one. You don't really have a say in this, and guess what?", dad say while doing jazz hands. "We're leaving tonight?", I said super enthusiastically with a obvious sarcasm to it at the same time.

Dad gave a nervous chuckle. No....f-fing...way....

"Well, huh...yeaaa...we're leaving tonight at 11...."

WHAT THE STUPID FISHING FIREMAN?!
