L E I A & H A N : An Adventurous Love Story

Ch.28

I hid behind the wall as I looked down the hall for any stormtroopers I could run into. It was clear and I made a run for it past the numerous amount of cells, ones that I was locked in previously. As I kept running down the hall, the hall became longer and longer to reach the end. Finally, I saw something in my view, not something, someone. Someone who looked too familiar. It was Han.
We both locked eyes. For moment, it felt as if he remembered me, remembered us and everything we went through. We ran towards each other. I ran so fast as I knew if I did not get to him, I would lose him. Again.
We almost made it to each other but all of a sudden, a glass shield appeared that separated us from one another. I stood in shock not knowing what to do or say. Then I heard footsteps behind me and Han's face was scared and confused.
Behind Han I saw Vader approaching him. Vader pulled out his lightsaber, as I watched it glow red and outline with a light red glow that lit up the room, that gave off the sight of evil. All of a sudden I screamed to Han to give him a warning of Vader. Then Vader he stabbed his light saber through Han's back. I ran to the glass, tears running down my face while trying to talk to Han.
The footsteps behind me approached closer and I turned to see Jon, the man who caused all of this. He extended his arm out and force choked me while saying, "You think you can save him? You think he will remember you? A smuggler with a princess? This is your chance to get away and forget all of the pain he caused you. A fool you are, Leia.". I felt suffocated and was trying to grasp for air with every last ounce of air I had in my body. I heard Han screaming, "Leia! Leia!" Then reality returned.
I felt a faint shaking of my body while simultaneously someone saying, "Leia! Leia, wake up! You're okay!". As I opened my eyes with my hands around my neck, still gasping for air, I realized it was Han. He had the most worried look on his face while saying, "Hey, you're okay, it's just me.", I sat up relieved it was only one of my nightmares. Han's then first instinct was pull me closer to hold me as he saw how scared I looked saying, "It was just a bad dream.". I sat there thinking how this felt familiar but it was nothing like before at all. He still did not remember anything about us but still rather was being "comforting" Han.
      I began to stand up and move away from Han saying, "I'm fine. It was just a dream. Thank you." He looked up at me responding, "That didn't seem like 'just a dream' to me. Your hands were around your neck and you looked terrified."
       "Han, I said I am fine.", I looked to him sad, not knowing what else to say. He got up, walked toward me and said, "Look, I know I am not the first person you want to comfort you, but look around. I'm the only one here.". Then he walked off.
      I watched him walk away, trying to process what he said to me. Han was now the old Han but does he still care or is he trying to just get my feelings out? I could not tell anymore.
      After awhile of sitting and thinking Luke came in and had a very worried look on his face. "Luke, what's wrong?", I asked as I stood up quickly to walk over to him. "I know why you were alive after being stabbed."
       I know had a workers expression on my face. Luke was hesitant to tell me. "Luke, you have to tell me."
       "Vader sent Jon to kill you because he had a motive. When you were stabbed he knew you would live. But he made you live one way that he knew for sure you could not defeat the empire. Leia, he took away your force powers.", Luke told me.
          I sat there in confusion then told him, "That's impossible, I just had a force vision not too long ago."
         "That's even worse. They are getting into your head to take you over the dark side completely. You have to fight back."
         "How do I get my force powers back?"
          Luke lowered his head down, already aware that I would not like what he was about to tell me then said, "You have to kill Han."
