L E I A & H A N : An Adventurous Love Story

Ch.41

     As I ran down the hall to catch up to Luke, I grabbed my side as I lifted my shirt to see that there was a bad wound, still bleeding. 'Come on Leia, you've been through worse.', I told myself. The base continued to keep shaking as I stumbled hitting the wall.
     I started running again as we made it to the hangar, where ships were taking off but then another bomb went off as a huge empire ship landed. Luke and I were both thrown a few feet from the impact of the bomb. In pain, I winced and squinted my eyes as I saw the entrance of the ship.
      The two monsters in the galaxy that caused me nothing but pain walked off the ship. Jon first walked out then Vader. Luke stood up first then helping me stand. "What more could you possibly want? You've taken everything from us.", I asked them as I spoke loudly across the hangar.
       "The two most powerful twins in the galaxy to join the dark side.", said Vader.
       "We will NEVER join.", Luke said in confidence. He then charged for Vader as Jon made his way towards me.
       "How are you still alive?", I asked in a serious tone.
        "It's funny because you used to never want me to leave you.", Jon replied.
        "I got my priorities in check since then."
        "Leaving me for a low-life scoundrel is getting priorities in check?"
        "You know nothing about and certainly know nothing about me, no matter if you think you do."
         "I know enough."
         "Hopefully after this you'll never have to know anymore.", I said then charging at him but being thrown across the floor by the force. I ignited my light saber then the duel began. Our sabers clashed over and over again as we continued to try eliminating one another. He was too powerful to keep up with. Glancing over quickly, I saw Luke and Vader battling it out then I made a run for it into another room. As I got to the room, it seemed to be some type of control room. I looked around frantically trying to find an exit, then spotted a door. I quickly ran through the door, using the control panel to lock it, giving me a head start.
      As there was a abrupt bang on the door, I heard Jon's voice say, "You can't run away, Leia! There is no escaping the dark side.". I ran up the stairs as fast as I could then the voice in my head began speaking to me again,
          Help me....
         "Who are you?"
Please Leia.....
          "Get out of my head!", I said, climbing up the side of the wall now. Luke suddenly approached from the side of the railing to help to me, "Leia!", he said lending a hand to help me up, "Jon is channeling all of his force energy from somewhere. He can't die until we find it.", he said to me.
           "Of course. How could I be so stupid.", I said as I began running. "What it is!", he asked.
           "The crown he stole from Alderaan years ago. He channeled all of his dark energy into it."
           "A crown? Why a crown?"
           "Because he was scared. It's filled with fear, fear of not being powerful and fear of never being able to live up to a ruler. I have to go search his ship, something tells me it is there. He would never travel far without it."
           Jon then made his way in the hall, down below us. "Go, get the crown. I will fight him off to give you enough time."
"Vader will find me and slow me down too-", I was cut off by Luke, putting a hand on my shoulder, "I defeated him. He's gone.", he said to me. I quickly hugged him, before running off to Jon's ship.
Without Jon seeing me, I slide to the side, to give Luke enough time to run and distract him. I then ran out to the hall, as fast as I could. My side, still causing so much pain, began slowing me down. Lifting up my shirt, I noticed that I was bleeding even more. I used all of the force in me to begin running again for the ship.
I reached the hangar, seeing the ship so close yet so far. "Come on, Leia.", I told myself quietly. I held my side as I ran, a little slower than before, to the ship. I fell as I reached the ramp of the ship, looking in the hangar to see nobody in sight except for lifeless, rebel soldiers scattered throughout from the bombs.
"Do this for them Leia.", I said to myself. I stood up, walking up into the ship. Frantically, I began searching through everything for the crown. As I finished searching the first area of the ship, I quickly went to the second area. There was little time to find the crown but I needed to patch up this wound if I wanted to even find this crown. I grabbed supplies from the medical area, then quickly put a bandage across it.
Once I finished, I continued to search the ship. As I kept searching, I heard a thud in the compartment below me. Uh-oh, I wasn't alone. I stepped away very fast while grabbing my lightsaber.
Slowly and quietly, I bent down to lift the compartment then and as I opened it, I immediately dropped my saber.
