I Will Find You

Have you ever felt so lonely that you don't really know what to do, so you feel kind of lost? That was Jack at this point and time. He lived in Ireland while his boyfriend, Mark, lived in LA and while they skyped nightly, Jack couldn't help but to feel lonely. Waking up everyday to an empty bed, he missed whenever they'd visit each other and waking up to Mark's arm around him. Making food for one, he missed making pancakes for Mark and Mark making chicken and dumplings for him. He missed watching movies, snuggled up into the red haired man's chest, instead having to settle with a blanket laying over him. But most of all he just missed hugs from Mark and all the little kisses he would steal at random times throughout the day. So one day, he just couldn't help it anymore, breaking down in front of Mark that night.

"Oh, Mark." He sobbed, wiping at his eyes with his sleeve.

"Jack, what's wrong?" Mark asked, running his fingers through his hair, worried.

"I can't help it," He whimpered. "I try to be strong but," He paused, brushing his lime hair out of his face and looking up at the camera. "I miss you."

At those words, Mark's heart broke. He looked up at his tear eyed boyfriend, staring into those ocean eyes he'd grown to love. "I'll come and visit."

Jack cracked a smile. "Really?" Jack gasped. Mark nodded. "Now I have to actually clean my apartment." Jack giggled "See, the things I have to do for you." They both laughed and Jack was tear free. They talked for a bit longer, discussing the things they were going to do when Mark arrived, and Mark booked a flight as they did so. Eventually they had to hang up, as they always have to do.

"Goodbye Markimoo." Jack said, a smile on his face once more.

"Goodbye, you little Irish muffin." Mark smiled and they wave, hanging up simultaneously. Jack stretched in his chair, spinning around and hopping off to begin cleaning his apartment.

~~~
A knock sounded at the door and Jack ran downstairs, giddy with excitement. He threw open the door to reveal Mark. "Hey Ja_Oof!"
Jack threw his arms around Mark, nearly knocking him over in the process. Jack buried his face in Mark's shoulder, his arms still locked around him. "I missed you so much," whispered Jack.
After Mark regained his balance he wrapped his arms around Jack's torso. "I missed you too."
They stood silently, just hugging each other, which was completely fine with Jack. "Do you wanna watch a movie?" Mark finally asked.
Jack quickly nodding grabbing Mark's stuff and pulling it inside before taking Mark's hand and dragging him over to the couch, immediately wiggling in next to Mark, which made him laugh. Jack pulled up a movie on Netflix and hit play, afterwards further snuggling into Mark's side. "You missed me that much, huh?"
Jack nodded and smile, kissing Mark's cheek. "Of course I did."
Mark chuckled. "Hey Jack?"
"Hmm?"
"Can you look at me quickly?"
Jack looked up at Mark, only to be surprised by the sudden kiss. Mark slowly pulled back, running his fingers of Jack's jaw. "You're eyes are just as gorgeous as I remember."
Jack giggled, laying his head against Mark's shoulder. "Watch the movie ya dork."
Mark chuckled, looking back at the TV.
~~~

Jack quietly snored, still leaning against Mark. Mark smiled and gently picked up Jack bridal style, carrying him to his room. Mark then laid Jack down and pulled the blankets over him. He leaned down and kissed Jack's forehead, turning to leave until Jack grabbed his hand. "Stay with me? Please?"

Mark chuckled, sliding under the covers and next to Jack. "Fine, but you need to go to sleep."

Jack nodded, snuggling up to Mark's chest. "Goodnight Mark."

"Goodnight Jack," Mark whispered back.

~~~
Jack stirred the next morning feeling Mark's loving arms holding him close. He smiled, burying his face in Mark's chest, gently nuzzling him awake.
"Hmm?" Mark asked groggily, his hair all messy and eyes half closed.
"Go back to sleep Markimoo." Jack chirped, his accent slightly thicker in the morning.
Mark smiled and drew Jack closer, falling back asleep while Jack messed with his bright floof. Eventually Mark's gentle snores filled the room and Jack managed to get himself out of Mark's grasp. He smiled, pressing a kiss to Mark's head and wandering down the stairs, heading to the kitchen. He gets to cooking and soon the smell of pancakes fill the open air. Minutes later a still sleepy Mark trudges down. Jack smiles, humming a cheery tune and setting a cup of coffee in front of his boyfriend.
"Thanks, muffin." Mark chimes. Jack simply nods and sets down a plate of pancakes a second later. They eat, and now that Mark was actually awake, they talked. They soon finished, setting out to explore Ireland, doing the activities the discussed all those nights ago. As promised, Mark made chicken and dumplings, Jack enjoying each and every one, but enjoying the time spent together even more. They even went out for dinner that night. And while it wouldn't last long, Mark was scheduled to leave in another week, Jack ate up every part of it that he could: Getting to say "Good night" instead of "Goodbye," cuddling together, feeling loved. It was the moments like these that made it worth it.
All too soon, that week was up and Mark was off to the airport. They would still skype, and see each other nightly, but it wouldn't quite be the same. His flight was called and Jack held on as long as he could before Mark had to go. One last kiss, one last tight squeeze and one more reassuring smile.
"I love ya, Markimoo." Jack said, kissing him again, a huge smile on his face.
"I love you too, little Irish muffin." He began to walk away before stopping and turning back around. "And, Jack?"
"Yeah Mark?"
"If you ever lose yourself, I will find you."
