"I'll get her this time." Darklin looked pleased with herself as she walked into the room, dragging Shadow's attention away from her phone.
"What now?" Shadow chuckled. Darklin proudly held out a tub of glitter. "Ah, Craft herpes."
"I'll dump it right on her head. She'll be picking it out of her hair for weeks." Darklin smiled, marching out of the room to find her lighter side twin.
Shadow smirked. "And you will too." Shadow heard a screech of horror from Caitlin, and Darklin rushed back into the room, standing in the doorway, covered in glitter, looking highly unamused.
"I don't know," Shadow mused with a giggle. "The whole sparkling look kinda contradicts your creepy aura."
Darklin sulked, holding the tub of glitter, still half full, in her hands. After a moment, she smirked, taking the tub of glitter and running back out to where she was before. Shadow realized when she was going with it and got up to chase after her, only to be drenched in the glitter herself. She huffed, crossing her arms as Darklin came back, the tub of glitter now empty.
"I don't know..." Darklin began. "That whole sparkling look-"
"Don't you dare." Shadow growled, cutting her off.
A blood curdling screech of aggravation and disgust emerged from the other room. Shadow stared at the doorway in silence before muttering "That makes me feel a little better." She started to wipe away the glitter. "Ah s***!" she cursed loudly, "It's in my blood!"
Darklin chuckled and offered her a tissue. Shadow accepted it with a muttered thanks before wiping the blood off from under her eyes, only to smear the red liquid across her face. Darklin bit her lip as she contained her laugh, highly amused by how ridiculous Shadow looked with the pink glitter and red smears. Shadow growled softly, and silently moved to go to the bathroom. She did her best to free herself of the tiny pieces of sparkling plastic abomination.
Darklin strolled down the hall and leaned against the doorway. "So... What're we going to do tonight?"
"Tonight?"
Darklin looked at Shadow like she was stupid. "Halloween?"
Shadow shrugged. "I don't know. I thought about visiting Anti again, but who knows where he is."
"You don't want to try and visit Darkiplier instead?" Shadow quickly shook her head and gave Darklin a wide-eyed look, sparkles showering down from her head. Dark chuckled "Why not?"
Shadow turned her attention back to the mirror. "At the moment he's more temperamental than Anti usually is. I don't want to deal with that right at the moment."
"O-kay... what if we terrorized children?"
Shadow shrugged. "Sure, doesn't sound too bad."
Darklin smiled and walked to the living room. "Cool. I'll be in the living room."
Darklin and Shadow strolled down the street, glaring at all the children that came close to them. "I forgot how much I hate the little imps," Shadow growled.
"Same," Darklin commented.
Suddenly a small boy with curly brown hair came running up to the pair. "You have awesome costumes!"
Shadow rolled her eyes and patted the boy's head. "Yeah, you too kid."
Darklin snickered as they continued to walk. "I thought you hated the little imps."
Shadow merely glared at the other demon.
They continued to walk around for another ten minutes, even stopping to smash a few pumpkins for fun. Darklin groaned as she kicked the pumpkin guts across the sidewalk. "Do you wanna go home?"
Shadow paused for a moment before nodding and striding off in the direction of their house.
As soon as they got to their street they sprinted the remaining distance and dashed inside, immediately flopping on the couch. Shadow groaned loudly before yelling "I hate people!"
Abi and Caitlin walked into the living room after that, giving the demons confused looks. "What was that for?" Caitlin asked.
Darklin didn't put any effort into addressing her non-evil twin. "We thought it would be fun to go out and terrorize children... we were wrong."
"So..." Abi started slowly, "What're you going to do now?"
"Nothin'!" Shadow spat.
Caitlin and Abi exchanged glances before moving to the door. "Well, we're going to go," Abi announced.
"F****** go then!" Shadow snapped.
They didn't wait another second to dash out the door and escape the weird aura surrounding the demons.
The two sat in silence for a while before Darklin asked "Do you wanna see what crappy horror movies they have on TV?"
Shadow only grunted in response. Dark turned on the TV and flicked through the channels until she settled on Halloween. Shadow lifted her head and watched skeptically as Michael Myers snuck up behind Lynda. "Are you f****** serious? Am I supposed to be scared of him?"
Darklin chuckled, only to bust out laughing when he began to murder her. "This is absolutely ridiculous!"
They watched the rest of the movie, all the while making comments and laughing at how dumb it was. As the credits began to roll, and the commercials came on, Shadow stopped to think about something. "Why are we doing this?" she asked the other demon.
Darklin scoffed. "Because we're even more introverted than our good sides"
Shadow nodded and sunk even further into the couch before holding out her fist. "True... well, either way, happy Halloween my dude."
Darklin chuckled and fist bumped the blue-haired demon. "Happy Halloween."
