"Come on! You have to get yourself out there! You're not gonna be able to live with me forever. I've been dating for years now, it's not that bad." Felix whined, directing his gaze at his green haired flatmate.
"What do you want me to do?" Jacks response was sarcastic. "Run out into the middle of a park and yell 'Somebody date me!!!'"
"If that works, than yes, but I had something a little less desperate in mind."
"What?" Jack was skeptical.
"A dating website." Felix seemed so proud of himself, as if the idea was completely original.
"Oh my- are you kidding? Those things never work." Jack moaned
"Don't knock it until you try it." Felix hummed, dragging his laptop over to where the two of them sat on the couch. "Here, let's sign you up for this one..."
A few hours and multiple dating sites later Felix finally decided that was enough. "Now, we wait."
Felix was way more excited when tomorrow morning rolled around than Jack was, immediately hoping on the laptop and checking all the accounts. "Ooooohhhh! Someone likes you Jack!" He practically squealed, dragging his friend over and shoving his face in the screen.
"He's uh.... hot." Jack finally managed out, not sure he wanted to admit that he liked this guy already.
"Yeah, his name is Mark, and he's around our age, has black hair and brown eyes and - oh my gosh - he's a YouTuber!"
Jack eyes widened in surprise. "That's a bold move to put that on your description. Everyone says YouTube isn't a real job." Jack trailed off in thought.
"So... what do you think?" Felix pressed, fingers poised over the keyboard to type a response.
"Yeah, I guess it wouldn't hurt..." Jack mused.
"Ok, so I'm setting up your first date, where do you guys wanna go?" Felix asked, eager to get a response.
"Woah, dude, calm down. I'm not sure. Maybe downtown somewhere?"
"Ok, ok, he says the little cafe down town is fine. How about 2 in the afternoon today? Oh, he says that works for him too. Great! You guys are gonna have so much fun!" Felix gushed.
"Wait, 2 o'clock? Today? That's like an hour!" Jack pointed out, panic seeping into his voice.
"Exactly. That way you don't have much time to panic." Felix giggled. He watched Jack scramble around the house, emerging from his room a few minutes later to get his outfit approved by Felix. After getting the thumbs up, Jack finished getting ready, heading towards the door and pausing.
"What are you waiting for?" Felix asked. "You don't have much time if you're gonna walk there."
"I'm nervous."
Felix rolled his eyes, getting up from where he sat and opening the door, shoving Jack outside. "Hurry up lover boy, wouldn't want to be late."
