Mark quietly closed the apartment door, then crept into the bedroom to change before working again from his laptop. He pulled on a t-shirt, and took off his pants, sighing in contentment from the freedom of nice looking clothes. He looked over at his green-haired boyfriend, Jack, who was sleeping peacefully, despite the fact that half of the covers weren't even on him. Mark smiled and moved to the side of the bed. He kissed Jack's forehead before adjusting the covers. Jack's eyes fluttered open and he stared drowsily up at the raven-haired man. "Mark?" he asked sleepily.
"Yes Muffin?" Mark mused as he continued to fuss with the blankets.
"What time is it?"
"It's almost one."
"Are you actually going to sleep tonight?"
Mark was a workaholic. He would work late into the night, come home, work some more, and basically passed out in the morning. "Not tonight Muffin. I've got more work to do."
"You always have more work to do," complained Jack.
Mark chuckled brushing some of Jack's green hair out of his eyes. "Maybe tomorrow. Go back to sleep," he said before turning to leave the room.
Jack whined at reached out for Mark. "Maaaaaark, relax for a bit, will ya?" he whined.
Mark stopped and stared at Jack for a moment before sighing and shaking his head. "Fine."
Jack let out a quiet cheer of celebration as he reached out for Mark. Mark slid in next to Jack, who immediately wrapped his arms around Mark. "I have a lot of work to do," mumbled Mark.
"Relax," said Jack with a yawn.
Mark sighed and rested his chin on top of Jack's head. "Goodnight Jack."
"Goodnight," he whispered, a smile on his face.
After that, Mark made sure he spent more time with Jack, as well as maintaining a better sleep schedule.
