Mark sat in the courtyard, running his fingers through the grass as he waited for the sun to set. His camera sat in his lap, ready to take a picture. Other students walked around him, one couple stopping to admire the view, before moving on. Mark felt a slight pang in his heart as he watched them go, for he longed to be in a relationship, though he didn't have the courage to actually ask his crush out in fear of rejection.
Speaking of which, none of than Jack McLoughlin himself waltzed out into the open field, Mark doing his best not to stare. The leather jacket clad cool kid caught up to his group of friends, joining in the conversation they were having. Mark stared for a little while longer, before directing his gaze back the the red and orange tinted sky. Just a little bit longer he would wait, to make sure he got the perfect amount of colors and contrast. Sunsets where some of his favorite things to take pictures of, though he just enjoyed nature in general really.
Mark stood to his feet aiming his camera towards the dying colors of the sun, before stopping himself a few seconds short of taking a picture. He watched curiously as all of the leather jacket people left, except for one. It was Jack. He pushed his green hair out of his face as he motioned for the others to go in without him, reassuring them that he'd catch up in just a moment. Mark couldn't miss this opportunity as Jack directed his gaze towards the sunset. With out even thinking about it, Mark snapped a picture of Jack's silhouette outlined by the pinks and yellows of the dying light, before running back to his dorm.
Mark had an assignment due the next day, where he had to take a picture of a person, though he had been to shy to ask anyone to pose for him. Mark hadn't even thought about the possible downsides to posting the picture he had taken to his blog online until the next day, when someone came knocking at his door.
"You Mark Fischbach?" Mark froze with the door half open, staring in fright at Jack who stood before him. Jack raised an eyebrow, his blue eyes staring at him expectantly. "Well...?"
"Uh yeah, I am." Marks voice came out shaky and way less confident than he had hoped.
"So what's this about a picture you posted of me?"
Mark gulped. "It, uh, it was for an assignment and I needed some one to pose for me and I hadn't asked anyone because I was to shy and it was due by midnight so I panicked and you're really attractive and I just..." Mark cut himself off as he realized what he had said. "Uh, I'm sorry."
Jack chuckled at Mark's jumble of words. "It's fine. I was just trying to make sure you're not some sorta stalker or something but you seem nice enough. Besides, you've got you're fair share of handsome, so maybe I could come back tomorrow and we could go get ice cream or something."
"Like... a date?" Mark questioned, his voice barely audible over the sound of his beating heart.
"Yeah. Like a date."
"Sure, I'd love to." Mark gave a weak smile, leaning on the door as Jack turned to go.
"Alright. Oh, and one more thing." Jack stopped, turning back to look at Mark with a wink. "You can take pictures of me anytime."
