In the slowest manner possible, Dark placed two slices of bread in the toaster before pushing the lever down. He then grabbed a cup of coffee, then grabbed a chair from the table and dragged it over to the counter. He set his mug down and flopped into the chair before resting his chin on the marble counter top.
Anti moseyed into the kitchen, chuckling when he saw Dark. He gave Dark a noogie, causing the demon to release a growl from the back of his throat. This only made the green-haired demon giggle, so he leaned down and kissed the top of Dark's head. Dark sat up a little and reached backwards to swat at his boyfriend. Anti dashed away, Dark's coffee mug in hand, a sinister snicker escaping his lips as he retreated. "Anti!" Dark snapped. "Get back here!"
Anti didn't respond, so Dark placed his chin back on the counter, finding it hard to keep his eyes open. He kept snapping in and out of reality, each time jolting into an upright position before laying back down. Eventually, he gave up, letting his eyes stayed closed while he waited for his toast to be done. He sat like this for a few minutes until...
KER-CHUNK!
Dark let out a loud and indignant squeak as he threw himself upright, and backwards, causing the chair to tip backwards. He yelped before he hit the floor, only to groan in pain and roll off the chair and into the fetal position.
Anti poked his head into the kitchen to see what all the ruckus was, almost immediately spotting Dark on the ground, his arms wrapped around his head. Anti squatted next to him, and gingerly pulled him into an upright position. "Babe, what happened?"
"The stupid toaster scared me," Dark huffed, his hands still covering the back of his head.
Anti bit his bottom lip to stop a laugh. "Oh, okay," his said, his voice shaking as continued to suppress his giggles, "did you hit your head?"
Dark nodded in shame, his pride obviously hurt. Anti stood and opened the freezer, retrieving an ice pack before closing the door, and squatting next to Dark again. "Move your arms," the green-haired demon commanded.
With reluctance, Dark moved them, letting Anti have open range to his head. Anti gently placed the ice pack on the back of Dark's head, causing him to whimper quietly. Anti snickered. "Come here ya' big baby." He leaned forward and kissed Dark, Dark's posture noticeably softening from it.
Anti snickered and pulled back, letting Dark hold the ice pack. "I'll get your toast ready for you."
Anti stood up and moved over to the counter, the other demon smacking his leg as he did so. "Get me some coffee while you're at it."
Anti laughed, pulling the toast out of the oh-so-scary-contraption. "Whatever you say, Dark."
