This was not what Mark was expecting when he invited his friend over to play video games that afternoon. Sure, he knew that Jack could get loud, but he sure did underestimate the power of his friend's lungs.
"ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME!?" Jack's Irish accent bellowed through the house as he chucked his controller at the couch. A string of profanities spluttered out of his mouth, causing Mark to lose it. "Why did we have to chose this devil of a game?" Jack grumbled, punching Mark gently as the raven haired man tried to compose himself.
"It's Mario Cart." Mark stated simply.
"It's bad."
"It's just a game." Mark pointed out.
"That's easy for you to say, Mr. I-win-every-round. You're over there, getting first every time and then the one time I could've possibly won some stupid blue shell demolishes me right at the end." Jack throws his hands up in the air and Mark laughs again.
"You're cute when you're angry." Mark says, staring another round.
"Oh yeah, well just wait a second I'll be F***ING GORGEOUS!!" Jack's calm reply turned aggressive as he was suddenly knocked off the map. More impolite words followed his sentence, before silence enveloped them once more.
The round ended with the controller chucked across the room and Jack sinking down to the ground in a fit of rage. "I think that's enough of Mario Cart." Mark commented to no one in particular, getting up to turn off the TV. Neither of them said anything as Mark gently put everything away, heading across the room to pick up the inevitably broken controller that Jack had thrown.
The brown eyed man was caught off guard as his green haired friend suddenly broke the silence. "You think I'm cute?" Mark's eyes widened in panic. He had kinda hoped that his friend (and crush) hadn't caught that remark in his fit of rage though it appeared that he did.
"Uh... yeah?" His response came out as more of question, frightened at what Jack what think.
"I'd agree with that." Came Jack's simple response. "I mean, who can resist a body like this?" Jack joked, both of them chuckling as Mark dropped he broken controller in the trash.
"As for me," Jack continued to speak as Mark poured himself a glass of water, taking a sip to calm his nerves. "I know I certainly cant resist you." Mark choked on his drink, almost spilling it everywhere and wiping his mouth as he stared at the couch with wide eyes. Jack rolled over and into sight, seeing as the couch had originally blocked him from Mark's view, a smile lighting up his face. Jack's blue eyes sparked with delight as he looked at Mark who was still frozen in the kitchen.
"Are you gonna come kiss me or what?" Jack asked innocently, Mark gently setting his glass down on the counter. "Come on," Jack whined. "You don't know how long I've been waiting for something to happen between us, I'm just to worn out from rage to move."
Mark was nervous, though he gained confidence as he approached his green haired crush, pulling him up from the ground and clutching him close to his chest. They pressed their lips together, Mark smirking and pulling Jack on top of him as he fell back onto the couch. They continued their make out session, Mark's hands at the back of Jack's head and around his waist, Jack running his fingers through Mark's raven hair.
This was most definitely not what he was expecting when he had invited Jack over for video games today.
