*Jack POV*

The one day it actually wasn't raining I decided to go for a walk, simply because I could. That's when it all started.

"Hello...?" I heard a voice say. I freeze, looking around, but I was alone. "Hello?" it asks again, timider than before.

"What?" I ask. It barely comes out as a whisper. I could almost hear the smile in the voice as it spoke up again.

"Hi." it said, a bit more cheerily this time.

"What?" I question again, baffled. The voice only giggles.

"Where are you?" I press.

"In here ya doof." it giggles again. I look around, confused. "In your head." It responds, like it should've been obvious.

"Am I-"

"Insane?" It pauses, like it has to think about it. "I don't... think so. I mean, I'm not insane. I think."

"Well, other people are going to think I'm insane if I don't stop talking to myself."

"But, you're not." It sounds a little hurt. "You're talking to me."

"Yeah, I know that, but others don't." I try and justify myself.

"No one else is even around..." it whines.

I start to feel kinda bad, like I've upset it or something. I wasn't trying to be mean. "Well, uh... I guess we can keep talking then."

"Really?" It seems more hopeful.

I smile. "Yeah."

"Ok."

"So, what's your name?"

"Anti." He responds.

"I'm-"

"Jack."

I'm a bit slow to respond. "Yeah. You seem to know a lot about me."

"Of course. I'm you."

"Pardon?"

"Well, kinda. Not really, but kinda. Haven't you ever heard of Antisepticeye?"

"You're-"

"Yep."

"Isn't he supposed to be evil?"

"I'm not evil. Should I be?"

My eyes widen slightly. "No, no. You're fine. I promise."

He seems relieved.

"So, what do you look like?"

"You. Well, kinda. Not really, but kinda." He trails off. I feel a wave of cold pass over me and I shiver. That's odd. It's summer. I blink and suddenly everything's blue.

"Whoa!" I exclaim. Anti giggles. "What happened? Everything's... blue!"

"I know, isn't it cool?" He giggles again.

"What'd you do?" I ask, almost frantic sounding.

"I took control." He states, as if it was normal. "See?" He asks. Not two seconds later, I've done a cartwheel, but it wasn't me who instigated that. He has literally taken control.

"Whoa..." That's all that came out.

Next thing I know, I'm running through some grass towards a nearby pond. I do a Roundoff backhandspring, something I know I couldn't do if I tried. I smile at his endless energy and we walk towards to edge of the pond. He crouches down, leaning over the water and I see the reflection. He was right, he looks almost identical to me, green hair and everything. The only real difference were his eyes and even in that case, one was green while the other was blue.

"I told you!" he exclaims. I smile and he waves to the water. "Hi you in my head."

I give a little laugh and wave back. "Hey Anti."

He smiles a little longer, before sighing, his smile faltering a bit. "I guess I should relinquish control, huh?"

"If you want." I shrug, as if it was no big deal.

"It's just so pretty when everything's not one color." He leans back, sitting on his haunches.

"You can walk us home if you want."

"Really?" he perks up.

"Yep."

He practically jumps to his feet, skipping and doing another cartwheel in the grass. I smile as he takes us home, eventually giving me back control when we enter the house. The same chills pass over me and I blink, restoring everything to their normal color.  I just kinda stood there for a second, readjusting to other colors.

"Hey Jack." Mark says, drawing my attention back to real life after I got lost staring at the color yellow.  I jerk my gaze up to stare at him and he gives me a weird look. "You alright?" I nod.

"Oooh! You like him!" Anti teases from my head. I, of course, don't respond but think to him in my head, having no idea of that would work or not.

"It's not bad to have crushes." I think.

"What? Crushes that you ship so hard and want to explode because you're not dating?"

Yep... it worked.

"Shush." I thought back.

"How was your walk there Jackaboy?" Mark asks, interrupting Anti and I's conversation.

"Good, good."

"Tell him, tell him." Anti begins to chant in my head.

"No." I practically scream at him. Mark gave me another weird look. Did I say that out loud?

"Are sure you're ok, Jack?" He presses.

"If you don't, I will." Anti taunts.

"If you do, I swear-" But it was too late. I felt the same cool, tingly feeling wash over me and my visions blue. "Anti!" I scream at him.

"I guess." Anti replies to Mark's question, averting his gaze to the ground, being all shy and cute like.

"What's up?" Mark prys. I growl at Anti, but he ignores me.

"I uh," he starts to look up "Nevermind." He stares at the ground again. I have pretty much given up at this point, waiting for the rejection.

He sits on the couch, and Mark, curious as well as concerned, follows. "You can tell me." He prods again, sitting down. At least he's being cute about it.

"The truth?" He asks, still avoiding eye contact. Mark nods.

"I like you. A lot. You make me happy, you make me laugh. You're smart. You're different. You're a little crazy and a bit awkward, but your smile alone can make my day. I guess what I'm trying to say is... please don't hate me."

My jaw drops. I couldn't said it any better myself. I feel a tear running down my face, and then that same cold feeling. I blink and colors are back. I don't even dare move, scared of the response. Anti's crying in my head, apologizing repeatedly, but I don't respond. The only thing I can focus on is... wait. Mark grabs my chin, lifting it up so I'm looking at him. He smiles, wiping away the tear that stained my face. He slowly leans closer... and closer then... fireworks.

Anti's crying stops. But I forget about him as Mark pulls me closer, deepening the kiss. We pull apart, just staring at each other.

"See, he does love you!" Anti exclaims excitedly.

"Yeah." I smile. "Yeah."
