Before I could blink, Damian's big head flinched back and growled menacingly at me. I jumped back startled. Damian rose with shoulders hunched and teeth bared. His beautifully dark onyx eyes shone with unshed tears of pain and anguish. I immediately got up as well and raised my arms palm out in a surrender position. "Damian I know you are angry, hurt, and confused okay. And I-"

Once again, I am interrupted. Instead of by Damian's growl but by shouts of my name along with Damian's name. I spun on my heel in surprise. There stood in the entrance to the clearing at the tree line was the pack. They came looking for us. And Luna Maria looks pissed. Please don't freeze my ovaries. I heard a bones cracking and some rustling behind me. I was about to turn around to investigate when warm, muscular arms wrapped around my waist and a broad naked chest rubbed against my back. This was followed with hands covering my eyes. I felt soft lips brush the shell of my ear. Everywhere sparks were explosively dancing across my skin. I felt the lips move to whisper a command softly into my ear. "Don't turn around."

Damian. I felt myself smirk and decided to play along. I bit my lip as my hands rose to cover his hands with my own. His skin was so soft yet hard and muscular at the same time. I could feel the muscles underneath my fingertips flex. This was the first time in all the times he held me, that I actually touched my skin with his. And his body-his skin felt amazing against mine just because it was his."And why is that?"

His chuckle rumbled throughout his chest to vibrate against my back. "I thought it was obvious."

My face reddened when he brought me flush against him. That was when I could feel everything. Dear God and heaven on earth, he was naked and rubbing against me. I was blushing so bashfully I was sure he could feel the heat coming off my cheeks. I made a move to go to the side when his next words stopped me.

"I wouldn't move if I were you. I mean unless you want everyone to see me. But it isn't like they haven't seen this before."

I growled lowly at the thought of those girls looking at my mate. Woah there. Well, he may be my mate, he freakin' growled at me when I said we were. I think that might be a definite sign he doesn't want me. I mean who would? I'm too fucked up anyway. And not only that I have already caused him so much heartache. I felt my shoulders sag. I don't think I could take another rejection again. Even if the last one was not my true mate, the pain was real. My hands dropped to my waist and Damian allowed his hands to follow them. My eyes dropped to just stare hard at our conjoined hands. My hands were dwarfed by his but fit perfectly inside them. They fit like two missing puzzle pieces. Our hands were made for eachother. Hell, we were made for eachother. I rubbed the pad of my thumb against the back of his hand just enjoying how close we were. And now that I find the one for me, he will reject me. This time he will reject me because I deserve it. And he will leave me sobbing on the floor just like Xavier ,won't he? It' would be easier to just be closed off and never allow anyone into my heart. That is just too easy. Nothing in life is that easy. And my mate is not something that should be easy as well. I vowed to myself the moment I found out Xavier wasn't made for me that I would find my real mate. And that I will beg and plead for being too stupid to notice him. For being ignorant of the truth. Apologize for him to have to see me cry over another. I will fight for him. After that I will love him and love him hard in every possible way. Mentally. Physically. Emotionally and spiritually. I looked at Damian from the corner of my eye to see him gazing down at me with a blank face but his eyes shone with love, pain, and fear. And nothing will stop me. Not even my mate himself.

When we reached the pack house, let's just say everyone was pissed. As soon as we hit the door, Lucas dragged Damian by the ear upstairs. I heard the door slam which followed with yelling. Lots and lots of yelling. The things getting broken and banging on the floors. But as quick as it started, it stopped. It was eerily silent. I heard the door open and shuffling of footsteps that were uneven as if the person was limping. I saw Lucas walk down the stairs. He was limping hard. Some cuts here and there. His shirt ripped, clinging onto him by a thread and his jeans had long claw marks on the sides. Identical marks along his arms as well. His face adorned a black eye and busted lip. Lets just say he looked like shit.
