My head pounded as if someone was continuely applying pressureat my temples. I thought my skull was about to burst. This only happens after I cry extremely hard. Some people have hangovers from drinking. Mine is from tears. Wonder what made me cry like that. Then my mind started to replay yesterday's events like a movie. Well that answers that then. When my body followed my mind in it's pursuit to awaken, the world was suddenly clearer. My senses shook off some dust. And I began to overhear a conversation that I could guess was happening no less than 5 feet away from my current position.
"-has been through alot. Just let her rest. She deserves it."
"But I am worried. She hasn't woken up! It has been a week."
"Especially after that psychological breakdown, and that scream of sheer bitterness, anguish, and extreme tiredness of staying strong. Of being alone."
A reasonable voice answered this damsel in distress."Which is exactly why I'm not surprised she isn't awake. Not only was she physically tired, she mentally tired and broke down. Just let her rest. And she will come to on her own. If we try to wake her up, it may be worse."
A snarky remark bouced out right after this one. "So you expect us to just sit here while she could be fighting for her life in a coma? We are supposed to be her guardians! What the fuck kind of shit are you trying ot feed us, Liam?"
"Harry, First Language. You could have said all of that without the extra words. And Second. I am her guardian too."
"Well then act like it damnit!"
The screaming match issued between the two males. Which did nothing to help with my already pressurized skull. I tried to block it out but it only continued. This time the volume increased. I finally got my body to obey me and lifted my eye lids. The only shutters that I could use to block out the world and it's melancholy.
Then I sat up quickly at the scene infront of me. Liam and Harry were up in eachothers face's , practicly spitting in eachother's mouths words that would make a priest exclaim ,"Oh my!" and throw up holy water. Louis was trying to console a blubbering Niall by offering him things like a gift card to Nandos and simutaniously end the arguement between Liam and Harry. Zayn was no where to be seen. Hmm. Right when his cool as a cucumber attitude would be most needed.
Then things began to boil as you could see how Liam's ears reddened and his face flushed. His eyes flashed black."I have been! And you think I don't care! I am as much as her guardian as you are! Now leave her be! We have caused her enough anguish." Liam took a breath before closing his eyes. WHen he opened them, they returned to their normal shade. "And to be perfectly honest, there is a reason she hasn't woken up yet."
Harry stopped yelling at him and fixed him with a look that said, "Spill like now or your man hood is forever lost." I think Liam got the picture because he moved so that a table was between them.
"She is away from her mate. She will wake up when she is ready. And when she healed. And not just physically. Harry, you heard that scream as well." Liam whispered almost as if he was frightened to rouse me from my 'sleeping beauty' state.
Too late for that buddy.
It was like all the pent up anger that was bursting at the seams in Harry dissolved in a blink of a eye. "You are right. It's just I feel responsible. What if Zayn hadn't sniffed her out? She would had to cry by herself. She would be alone. And lost. Scared. It scares me, Liam. I scares me to see her sleeping in that bed so soundly almost as if she is..." He left the sentece hanging in the air almost as if finishing it would be the last nail in his coffin.
