You're On Scare Tactics

Tonight was the night that scare tactics would come into play. In all honesty, Thomas had never been more nervous. Just being a part of this could send him away if she didn't find this funny.

But now there was no going back. Thomas sad beside Kaya, dylan, Sam, will, and Ki. Every now and again he could catch dylan sending Kaya a sad look. He would help his friend, somehow. He needed to. Just seeing the guy so broken over the face that Kaya wasn't his hurt him beyond belief.

It was already almost sunrise, and everyone woke up for the distinct time. There, on the screen, was Charlie sleeping.

Bear was silently moving across the camp with the camera crew following him. Meanwhile, the scare tactics crew set up their angles. "what are they doing?" Kaya leaned forward. "like what's the prank?"

Nobody really knew. The entire team kept everyone out I'm the dark.

Laying on the ground, bear stayed still as they poured fake blood on him. The extras took their spots in the forest line and eventually, it was time. With a large burst of air, Bear let out a scream that echoed through the lighting forest.

Charlie immediately shot forward in a panic. "Bear?!"

Scrambling from her shelter she looked through the open area. Once her eyes met bear though, her jaw dropped. "what the f***."

Moving towards him she reached his side. "charlie, charlie look in the trees-"

Throwing her glare over her shoulders, eventually she could see the actors stepping into the open. They were dressed raggedy and looked like wild hill Billie's. "shit, get up get up." Grabbing bears arm she helped him to his feet.

Thomas ran his hand through his hair. "this it horrible, a horrible idea. "

"Oh come on Thomas." Sam smiled. "the girl is always pranking people."

Bear fake limped beside her as they took off into the woods.  Using what little of a trail their was towards the evac, charlie guided him carefully. "they're coming, they're coming. " Bear somewhat cried. 

Knowing that the evac wasn't that far ahead, charlie sucked down a breath. "hide." She hissed setting him against a log.

"What?!"

"They'll catch us at this rate. You hide. You got you're knife?"

"Yeah."

Kaya covered her mouth.  "Oh my god she's saving him."

Charlie set him on the other side of a fallen log. "good, keep it. Wait here until you know they are gone and then get to the evac."

"Where are you going?"

She threw a tree branch over him to hide him. "I'm gonna lose them."

Dylan just threw his hands in the air like the normal personality he had. "I fucking love her!!!"

Without another word, Charlie turned and started running into the woods. That is when they had to end it though. Bear screamed for her. "CHARLIE CHARLIE WAIT! YOURE ON SCARE TACTICS THIS IS A PRANK!"

the actress stopped dead in her tracks.

Then, turning towards bear in disbelief she waited for a sign that tut was true. As soon as the murderers pulled off their masks though, her face fell. "You assholes!"

There was laughter everywhere. With hands on her knees she took in deep breaths."you did great!" Bear slapped her back. "you were going to save me!"

"Jokes on you!" She cried of laughing with the others. "I was going to leave your sorry ass!"

"Look at you!" More people came out. "you're still shaking!"

"Of course I am! Do you understand, the level of just how scared I was?!"

"I think we all did!"

Slowly, the special guest started to appear as bear talked to her. "but you should know, that there was someone who set you up for this."

"Yeah?" She rose her eyebrow. "and whose that sorry son of a bitch?"

A deeper voice called out behind her. "Me."

As soon as she heard the voice, Thomas could see her face drop and body fall still. Then, with a slow turn, she looked behind her. Once she made out his figure, tears burst from her eyes as a screech escaped her lips.

Faster than the spread of light charlie leapt into his airs and he caught her tightly. Years of experience made him ready for that type of moment.

Charlie didn't dare hold it in. Soft cries left her lips as the man spun her back and forth. "you're home." Her muffled mich. Caught.

"And here to stay Charles." He spoked into her hair.

The crew quieted down letting them have their moment. And as they broke apart, he wiped away her tears and together they made their way to the chopper.

Finally, Thomas understood. Her grandfather was right, they were all in for a surprise. Charlies cousin Zach was back from war.
