just like how she left before

"I hate you." Dylan rubbed his neck painfully as they exited the lift.

She had done what she had planned to do. Dylan had it coming, and the mark from the paintball gun proved it. "Just sharing the love Dyl."

The hallway soon became quiet. Late at night, the floor was usually dead. So, with a sigh, they all looked to one another. "Well, we should all finish packing. " Kaya suggested. "Whose flight leaves first?"

Will rose his hand. "Thomas and I. We need to be at the airport by five." The clock had already struck 10 p.m.

"Alright, mine leaves at 8 so I'll just go in too." Ki nodded. "Kaya when does yours take off?"

"I got transferred to Thomas and kids flight so the same time as them."

"God damn brittans." Charlie hissed. "I'm totally over this early rising shit."

"When are you driving back?" Dylan looked to her.

Shrugging she slipped her phone into her pocket. "I'll tag along to the airport, then I'll probably leave from there."

"Imma do the same then." He nodded.

Seeing the morning set, they all fell into a sad silence. "I can't believe this is really over." Dylan scratched the back of his head. "It's went by so fast."

"Yeah.. but hey, there's how many books?" Charlie tried making the bright side clearer.

Will sighed. "One for me..."

"No!" Charlie and the others immediately hugged him. "We will be together all the time!"

"I hope so, I already miss you guys."

Through their hug, rain echoed into the dark hall. "I love you guys." Kaya somewhat sniffled.

The love was shared without words though. Using one last squeeze, the group broke apart looking at one another. This was possibly the last night they would be able to for a long time. Saying goodbye was never easy.

With one headphone in, Charlie packed the last of her things into her duffle bag. The only things left out were the sweatpants and sports bra she was wearing, and her outfit for tomorrow.

The apartment was so bare now, pictures gone, furniture stripped, and fridge cleaned out. Over the past few months this place had been her home. But now, she admitted to herself she was ready to head back. Being away from woody was hard enough for this long. Their phone calls just weren't cutting it anymore.

That's when a slight tinge grew in her stomach. It was already 11:47 and he hadn't called yet. Sure his sleeping pattern was bad too, but it usually rang by now.

Suddenly, there was a knock on her door. Peeking over her shoulder she walked towards it and pulled it open knowing it was one of the others. Just as she predicted, Thomas stood outside with a tired look in his eyes. "Finish packing?" She asked.

He just nodded. "Yeah, you?"

"Almost, just gotta close it up and haul it over." Letting him in he closed the door behind him as she threw her backpack next to the wall. It was official, Charlie was prepared for the morning ahead.

As he sat at the bar, Charlie began closing all the cabinets. He stayed quiet observing her as she did so. The scars on her back were faint, clearly dwindling with her age. However, they would never go away. That he knew, but he loved every single one of them.

Standing up, he set his phone on the counter and walked behind here. There, he wrapped both arms around her and pulled her body against his. "We have to get up soon love, I vote we go to sleep."
