Vi hops down the steps. I follow my aunt down the front yard and up the stairs. I ring a bell. It begins a tune of greensleeves.
"Behave yourself." Vi said sternly.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah" I reply.
"I mean it Cas" The door opens. A young lady opens the door. She has soft brown shoulder length hair and is wearing a bright smile on her happy face.
"Hello,Hello. I'm Madeline. Come inside." I walk inside to an exact replica of our house in reverse except once we came to the living room there were extra rooms added to the back of the house. I sat down on a plush velvet couch. Vi handed a favourites box to Madeline.
"Oh you shouldn't have." Soon Vi and Madeline were talking like old friends. I examine the living room, it was really roomy and comforting in a way with a large shelf full of photos and a large electric fire on the other side of the room. It reminded me of a modernised version of the Gryffindor common room. After a few minutes, I hear the loud thud of feet coming down the stairs. It was the boy, he beckons me to follow. So I stood up and followed him. He stopped by the stairs and I can see him taking a good look at me. I blush as I see his eyes lowering to my chest.
He lifts his eyes to my face and introduces himself, "Hi, I'm Ryan Turner. I thought I should save you from listening to them for hours." He holds out his hand, I take it and shake his hand. His hand was warm
I laugh"Yeah I'm not so patient. I'm Cassandra Murray, but you can call me Cas or Cassie, your pick." We begin walking up the stairs.
"Okay Cassie, what would you like to drink? I take it you're 18 so Alchohol. "
"umm.. no thanks, waters fine" I reply.
"Oh. That's sort of a relief. Don't want to clean up after you." He jokes "Welcome to my room."
Ryan's room is surprisingly neat. It has a tv on the wall, a study corner, a large bookshelf, a mini fridge and two beanbags that I want to just flop on. Ryan walks over to the fridge and pulls out two bottled waters. As his face properly hits the lights I see his face clearly for the first time. Two beautiful blue eyes, messy hazelnut hair, perfect eyebrows, amazing cheekbones and a dazzling smile. My cheeks blushed suddenly as I walked towards him and sat on the edge of his double bed.
"So, do you have any siblings?" I ask casually.
"Yeah, a 6 year old sister, Nancy. My dad left when I was thirteen. So it is just me,my mum and sister. What about you, have you always lived with your aunt?"
"uhh...no since I was 11." Sensing my discomfort, Ryan changes the subject.
"Do you want to watch a movie or something, I don't want to bore you to death."
"Okay, what movie?"
"How about a horror?" He stand up and grabs his laptop. "Oh what about, The Conjuring"
I don't really watch horrors but I hadn't watched it, so how bad could it be.
"Yeah sure."Ryan finds the movie.
"I have to confess I have been too scared to watch this. I heard one person died when watching this in the dark by themselves because they got a heart-attack. So this will be the first time I have watched it." He flicks off the lights and we both take a place on a beanbag. The movie begins. Okay, I'm not the person who freaks out and screams but this movie was horrific. The people who made it, they were demented. We were enjoying this freaky movie, but were both on the point of screaming. All of a sudden the lights flicked on. That was breaking point for me, I couldn't take it. I let out a loud scream and my body instinclty moved towards Ryan. Ryan moved towards me and clutched me.
