"Cassie. Wake up. It's 10 o'clock." Vi's voice echoes through the door. I hear her foot steps retreating as I lift my head from Ryan's bare chest yawning.

"Ryan. Wake up." I say kissing his soft jaw. He moves his head, tightening his arms around my waist. "Ryan, come on. We have cricket in like four hours."

I pull out of his grasp pulling the sheets up to cover my body. His eyes flutter open staring at me smiling. "Good Morning." I grin. "Get up. Pleaseeee." He stands up out of bed letting the bed sheet fall as I squeal and turn away. I hear his footsteps going  to the bathroom.

......................(Sorry, there's going to be quite a lot of cricket talk.)

"Look I know in the past few years, we have constantly lost to Chilton. But this is the year I can feel it. We're gonna win and we're going to take that cup back with us. I want you all to play as if you're losing the entire time, play your hardest. We've trained hard these past couple of weeks, and I know we can win." Brandon speaks encouragingly. The entire team was in a circle. The game was starting in a few minutes. We were bowling first.

"Okay. I need you all to keep your eyes on the ball. It's going to be hot, you'll get tired out in the heat but I don't wanna see any slack from you fielders. Get some quick wickets, you need to get Lachlan out fast. Get them out with a low score than it's easier for batting. Let's go. Go." We pull out of the circle and run onto the field. I see Vi and Madeline with Nancy in the crowd. I smile and wave quickly before turning around my focus on the pitch.

Ryan nods and holds his thumbs up before walking to take a position on the field. I was bowling the first over. I see Lachlan taking a few practice swings with the bat.

"You ready to loose Murrary." Lachlan smirks rudely. I breath out clamly and ignore his jeers. I take the ball from the umpire and spin it around in my hand a few times. The pitch was looking quite hard and bouncy today. The umpire gestures for the game to begin and I hear some distant cheers in the ground along with Lachlan's mocking words.

I take a run and spin the bowl towards the wicket. Lachlan had a permanent smirk plastered on his face as he whacked the ball towards one of our fielders. We managed to keep it to one run and I continued to bowl until the end of the over. I hadn't gotten a wicket. I take a place in the field watching Lachlan very closely. I didn't even notice when his other team mate hit the ball far towards Pete in the field. Pete caught it in his hands yelling in joy. It was a wicket.

Soon it was back to me to bowl. We had gotten three more wickets but Lachlan was still in. He was getting a good score. Fortunately the entire time fielding I had watched his movement closely. I hadn't see it before but he seemed to really struggle with spin balls because the ball spins so much when it hits the pitch it doesn't follow a straight path. The ball was harder to hit. I smile as I take the bowl in my hands watching Lachlan's glare of determination as I ran towards the ball letting the ball go. I watch as it passes him and hits the wicket. I smirk as my team rushes towards me cheering. I see Lachlan grit his teeth clearly annoyed before walking of the pitch in anger.

The game continues well but Chilton still managaes to create a high score. This was going to be tough to beat. Both teams walk off the field for half-time. Brandon comes up to me hugging me immmediately. I pull away in surprise. "Nice playing."

"Oh thanks." Ryan comes over to me handing me my drink bottle. "Thanks." I say again taking a gulp of the water.

I continue to sip the water slowly as Brandon begins to speak about the next half of the game. "Right for today Ryan, Cas you're our opening batsmen. I don't want you to play it safe, get a good head start. I need you all to utilize every over and ball. I'm not gonna lie, this is a difficult score. But you can reach it." He nods and silence overtakes our team as Ryan and I walk on to the pitch.
