I was practicing archery on my targets when something flew out of the woods behind the targets. It looked like a small bird. Then I noticed it was carrying something in its talons. It dropped it at my feet and then disappeared. It literally faded away into thin air.
I picked up the note, which was written on ancient beige parchment. It said, “Meet me at the local park tomorrow at 3:00. Bring your brother”. I looked at it again, glanced over to where the bird faded away, and grabbed my bow and quiver of arrows. Austin needed to know what this said right away.
But then, I figured his friends must have down that. I’m pretty sure it was a magic trick and my brother had a friend who was excellent at magic tricks. I ran to his room as fast as I could and went to sit on his bed. He was playing his guitar, not looking at any notes. His music was just beautiful.
“Austin, you need to listen to me.” I breathed and showed him the note, explaining what had happened with the bird.
