Josh Hunt’s P.O.V.
I hope nobody’s watching, I thought to myself.
I was in my school’s pool room, doing trick’s with the water. My eyes were closed as I focused on making a fist of water. When I opened my eyes, there it was. A fist of water. I focused on making the water mimic the moves I made with my right hand. I flexed my fingers and watched as the water fist reflected my movements. Then, all of a sudden, the water just exploded, forcing me to back against the wall shielding my face. Something flew out of the fist of water as it returned to normal. It was a note. A note written on ancient beige parchment.
“How did that happen?” I questioned myself.
A head appeared out the water. A head I didn’t make or control.
“Read the note.” It commanded and I quickly fumbled to open it up.
The note read, “Want to know why you can control water like you just did. Want to know why the water heels you? Want to know about all of your gifts? Meet me at the local park tomorrow at 3:00. I’ll explain everything”.
“You’re the one who wrote this?” I asked the giant head.
“No. You better go to that meeting. Don’t you dare miss it. Until then, do not use your gifts until you know the truth.” Then the head melted back into the water again.
“Wait!” I called but it was too late. The head was gone.
I quickly stuffed the noted into my backpack and ran back to class. I hoped no one saw me or that head. Even though the head did freak me out, I still wanted to talk to it to see if it could tell me anything. I mentally braced myself for tomorrow.
Plenty of thoughts were swarming through my mind but I forced myself not to think about them. I quickly stopped to get a drink of water and splash some water into my face. That cleared my mind.
Now I had to wait until tomorrow to find out what that note was about and who sent it.
