Chapter 19: Tattoo

I stared at him.

"He would've killed me... but I was surprised when he didn't." Sabi ko. Ibinaba nya ang hawak na baril. 

"He was a kind man, before. The Demons was the strongest gang there is... pero bigla nalang nagbago ang leader namin, which surprised us all. His eyes would turn red at kasabay nun ang pagiging bayolente nya." Humarap sya sa'kin. "Who took the video?" Tanong nya.

"He was capturing the view when I fought with the former leader. Nung una nagtataka sya, but I shot him. I need to scare him a little bit." Sabi ko. He seems convinced though. He sighed, at tiningnan ang kalangitan.

"You're the leader now. But there is still no assurance that you will not be like him. Kaya dapat kitang bantayan." Sabi niya.

"I don't want to be your leader or anything."

"Then I should kill you."

"Ako dapat ang magsabi nyan. I'm an agent, at nasa misyon ko ang hulihin ang lahat ng miyembro ng Demons." I stated.

Nagsukatan kami ng tingin.

"Look at your arm." He said. Sinunod ko sya, may nakatatak na tattoo sa kaliwang braso ko, isang kulay scarlet na serpent na may crown. Pero hindi ito masyadong kalakihan, parang kasing laki lang ng dalawang pinagdugtong na piso. Nang makita nya ito ay itinaas nya rin ang tela ng damit nya sa may kaliwang braso. May tattoo rin siya, kagaya ng sa'kin pero kulay itim at walang crown.

"Your agency should know about the tattoos. Pag nakita nila yang tattoo sa braso mo, do you think pagkakatiwalaan nila ang isang miyembro ng Demons?" He said.

"Kaya ko 'tong itago."

"Siguro 'yang tattoo pwede pa, who knows kung hanggang kelan mo yan matatago."

I sighed. "What do you want?"

"You killed our leader, if you can't be with us... papatayin ka namin." He said. But of course, that's only a threath. It's not like he could kill me or anything.

Bumalik ako sa agency matapos naming mag-usap ni Shintaro. We had a long talk, but agreed on one thing: I will keep the Demons as a secret, and that's what I will do... for now. But at the same time he will keep an eye on me. Baka raw ay matulad ako sa dati nilang leader who turned violent and brutal.

When we fought on that day, the day when I escaped home, I was completely overpowered by him. I thought he was going to kill me, but he didn't. Instead a tattoo showed up in my arm, and it had a crown on the top of the serpent's head, which means that I am now their new leader. I don't know why he did it though. But when I looked at his eyes, it was scary. And I automatically attacked him, with my eyes scarlet.

When I reached my bed, I grabbed my things and put them in a bag. I don't have many clothes, but I don't like buying in the mall. Maybe I could just ask Butler Kang but I don't want to bother them.

The other girls looked in my way. Tila ba nagtataka kung bakit ako nag-eempake. Biglang lumapit si Akane sa'kin.

"Sa'n ka pupunta?" Tanong nya.

"I'm going to rent an apartment." Sabi ko, and that's true. If I stayed here, mas mabilis nilang malalaman na isa akong miyembro ng Demons.

I could just quit being an agent, but unfortunately it's not that easy. I'm just waiting for the right time. Now I have to fix four complicated things, which might be added sooner when the other is not fixed immediately. The first one is my family, who knows if they will suddenly show up and take me home? Second, about this agency. They don't trust me yet, but I still need to go on missions. I need money, which is what I really needed to leave. The third one, is about that gang called Demons. And the fourth one, are my friends. How would they react if their friend is a traitor of their agency? And thinking that I don't trust them that much. I should fix the Demons first, but right now..
