CHAPTER 24.5

Yuseff's POV

"Yuseff."

Bigla akong napabangon ng marinig ko ang boses ng asawa ko. Mahina ang pagtawag nya sa pangalan ko.

"Wife are you okay now?"

"Siguro. Bakit ka andito? Bakit ako andito?"

"Bakit ka kasi nagpaulan??? Maghapon ka ba sa sementeryo? Hindi ka man lang ba sumilong."

"Nung giniginaw ako, hindi ko kasi naramdaman na masakit kaya hindi na ako umalis."

"Wife."

"H'wag mo na ako tawaging ganyan Yuseff. H'wag mo na akong sanayin."

Her eyes screams pain. Oh Lord, what did I do to her?

I just hugged her. I felt her coldness.

"Sorry ha? I didn't meant to do that. I am just afraid she'll snatch you. I should have asked you first before I stupidly recommend her. I should have not made a scene in your restau. I'm very sorry Yuseff."

She said as she pushed me away from her.

"Wife, Please?"

"I'm really really sorry Yuseff. I'll accept anything. Just please tell me. Tell me If you want to leave me, please tell me when okay? I need to prepare myself. Ayoko na ng biglaan."

"Wife, I will not leave you."

"Yet."

" Wife, I promise, I will fire her after this month. Kailangan lang natin sya ngayon, after this month. I will fire her. Wag ka ng ganyan wife, I missed you soo much."

Naramdaman ko naman ang response nya. I should know where I stand, I have a wife and she should be enough. Never mind that fucking move on, moving on question. My wife's enough.

After an hour, she fell asleep again. The Doctor said it's okay and pretty normal because of the meds. I decided to go out and buy something. Hindi sinasadyang madaanan ko si Kristina sa out-patient waiting area. Nagulat na lang ako ng bigla akong lapitan ng isang batang lalaki at tawaging "Daddy"

My mind can't comprehend. Paano? Bakit? Totoo ba ito? Ayaw ko man, but I need to talk to Kristina. I need to settle things.

"Yes, he's your son."

"Don't make me a fool Kristina. You married Anthony!"

"I married him because he raped me! I married him because I thought he was the father. But no, he's not. Before we got married, buntis na ako ng 2 months. He's yours."

"I don't believe you"

"then don't."

"I was raped the night we should be going to your house in Cavite. Hindi ko na sinabi sayo dahil ayaw ko ng gulo. Months after, symptoms of being pregnant came. All along i thought it was Anthony, the guy who raped me, but no, he's yours."

Para akong nabingi. Kristina started crying. She was sobbing.

"Nung nagpakasal ako, wala akong hindi inisip kundi ikaw. Walang araw na hindi ako humihiling na---"

"Please. Please STOP. Ayoko nang marinig pa."

I left them on the cafeteria and went to my wife. I saw my wife sleeping soundly. I found my peace.

"Wife, hindi ako nagkamali ng pagpapakasal sayo diba?"

I hugged her tight. I need her warmth.
