Fere's POV

" Mr. and Mrs Hernandez, please come in."

"Hi I'm Dra. Jeen, I am a pediatrician, Dr. Kay already discussed to me your son's situation. I asked the lab to rush the results as per your request Sir."

"Your son has a mild congenital heart disease, don't worry Mam, this is curable. We have a lot of modern technology nowadays, it's as good as fever when cured. Pero dahil he is too young I won't suggest he undergo surgery yet. We can wait until his 7th or 8th to proceed. For now, I'll give him meds that should be taken religiously."

"And also, his lungs are weak. That cause his hardships on breathing. Based on the results he often encounter asphyxia. This is is a condition of severely deficient supply of oxygen to the heart . We still need to test him on this. But I know a specialist who can help us with this. He is actually very good at this. He surely can cure your son. He'll be coming in later. I'll ask the nurse to call you once he's in."

" Thank you po Doc."

After namin makausap si Dra Jeen bumalik na kami ni Yuseff sa kwarto ni Yugi. He's still asleep now siguro dahil madaming naiturok na gamot sa kanya pamula pa kahapon ng dalahin sya dito.

"Can you tell me what happened to him?"

"He was born premature, about 8 months and somedays. Wala akong pera, hindi ko sya naipaincubator."

"Where is his father? Why have he not do anything?"

"He was out of our lives. I don't know where he was."

"His first check up was on a barangay health center. No doctor. I was at fault for all of this."

I cried. This is all my fault, dahil sa kawalan ko, hindi ko naagapan ang sakit nya. I feel Yuseff's hand caressing my back. Lalo akong napaiyak. Hindi ko maitatanggi na kahit anong mangyari, I loved him, I still love him. My heart is still his. And yes, I miss him and his touch. It's been too long.

"Mama..." mahinang tawag ni Yugi

"Anak, jusko po anak, Yugi, wag mo takutin si Mama. Please."

"Mama, iyak ikaw?"

"Oo natakot ako, akala ko iiwan mo na din si Mama. Wag mo ako iiwan anak ha?"

"Love ni Yugi si Mama."

"Love din ni Mama si Yugi. Love na love kita anak." And kissed him

"Mama, bakit sya andito?" turo nya kay Yuseff

"Anak, mag thank you ka sa kanya kasi sinave ka nya kahapon."

"Thank You po sa pagsave sa akin. Hindi po pala ikaw bad."

Kumatok naman ang nurse para ipatawag kami dahil naghihintay na daw ang specialist doctor.

"Ferella Enriquez?"

"Oh Good Lord! Stephen Santos?"

"Yeah, how are you? What can I do for you? God Fere, you still look georgous."

"Ehemmmmn. I am Yuseff Hernandez, her husband. We're here for our son's treatment. Referral from Dra. Jeen."

"Oh yeah, I can't believe my prettiest ex's son would be a patient. Haha"

"Anyway, I've got the records sent to me this morning. I have some questions though."

"Is he a premature baby?"

"Yes, he was born 8 months and some days."

"How old are you when he's born?"
