CHAPTER 40

Yuseff's POV

After that night, hindi na muna ako umuwi sa Cavite. Kristina left for awhile at naiwan naman sa akin si Clark.

Si Clark. Madalas namang naiiwan sa akin ang bata pero hindi ko alam kung bakit ba hindi ko magawang mahalin ng buo ang batang ito. Sa DNA, walang dudang anak ko sya pero sa puso ko, hindi ko ito makapa.

"Sir, ayaw pong kumain ng anak nyo." sabi ng katulong

Pinuntahan ko si Clark na nakaupo sa dining.

"Why are you not eating?"

"I don't want the food."

"Celia, please prepare what he wants."

"Dad! Buy me a lego. I want to play it."

Isa pa siguro kaya nahirapan ako sa anak ko ay dahil sobrang spoiled nito. Partly, it was my fault. While he's with me I give him everything he asks. Hindi ko kasi alam kung paano ako magiging ama sa kanya.

Unlike when I was with Faye. Si Faye na unang unang batang inalagaan ko. Faye is a sweet child kaya mabilis makagaanan ng loob. Isa pa, si Yugi. I know very well that they are not mine pero mabilis na lumalapit ang puso ko sa kanila.

Guilty ako dahil hindi ko magawang mahalin si Clark gaya ng pagmamahal ko kay Yugi. Kung siguro nga'y walang DNA test, itatanggi kong anak ko si Clark.

***Wife Calling***

Fere: Hello Yuseff?
Yuseff: Yes Wife?
Ferr: Ahmmmn. Play kasi ni Yugi mamaya. Tinext kita kahapon kaya lang nagaalala ako baka hindi mo nareceive. Makakapunta ka ba?
Yuseff:------
Fere: Ahmn, Yuseff, okay lang kahit hindi. Ieexplain ko na lang kay Yugi.
Yuseff: Pupunta ako.
Fere: Okay lang kung hindi ka makapunta. Alam ko naman na madami ka ginagawa. Maiintindihan ka ni Yugi.
Yuseff: Hindi. Pupunta ako Fere, pero isasama ko si Clark. Iniwan kasi sa akin ni Kristina.
Fere: Ah ganun ba? Sige para maipagreserve ko kayo ng upuan.
Yuseff: Okay. We'll be there.
Fere: Ingat kayo. See you later."

We hanged up.

"Clark, prep up. We're going somewhere."

"You'll buy me lego?"

"Yeah and we'll go to your brother."

"But I don't have a brother."

"Yes you have."

"Dad! I said I don't have a brother."

"I said you have a brother so prep up, we'll going to get you a lego and we'll see your brother's play. C'mmon."

Sa tulong ni Yaya Celia, mabilis na nakapagayos si Clark. We drop by sa mall to buy him lego. I also bought Yugi an airplane toy.

It's almost time nung dumating kaming school. The teacher assisted us where to seat. I saw my wife waving at us.

"Traffic ba?"

"Hindi naman pero dumaan kami sa toy store."

"Ah. Buti nakaabot kayo."

"Clark, she's Tita Fere, my wife your brother's mother."

"My mom's your wife."

"Pasensya na wife."

"Okay lang yan. Tara na, upo na tayo, magsisimula na sila."

While the show is on-going I keep on looking at Ferella. All you can see in her eyes is pure love for her son. That look that I cannot see at Kristina's eyes. I saw how unconditional her love for Yugi is. She shows too much adoration for her son.
