Chapter 48: New Beginning

(Aisha's POV)
"MOMMMMMYYYY! MOMMMYYYY!"

Dali-dali akong pumunta sa kwarto nang marinig ko ang malakas na iyak ni baby.

"What's the problem, Aleina?" tanong ko at patuloy pa rin siyang umiiyak.

"That bad ant bit my toe. It hurts so much. Will this get sore?" she asks innocently.

"No baby. It will be better later." I replied.

"But mommy, I want to stop the pain now..." she said and she's about to cry again.

I kissed her toe then said, "It will not hurt na baby."

"Thank you mommy. I love you."

"I love you too baby."

3 years and a month have passed and many things changed. And I think changed for the better.

We spent the first year together. We travel a lot. And enjoyed ourselves being husband and wife.

We also settled our living. We bought a house, opened a bank account and made our lives ready.

Then after a year, we've decided to have a baby. Luckily, our firstborn is a girl.

Tuwang-tuwa ako nang malaman na babae ang magiging anak ko. At ngayon, she's a bubbly 3-year old baby. We named her Aleina Soleil Perez.

"Mommy when will daddy go home?"she asked. Lagi niyang inaabangan ang daddy niya tuwing uuwi ito after work.

"He'll go home soon." I said. I turned on the TV and watched the news.

[Ms. Sophia Larameda, heiress of the Larameda Group of Companies, is now part of the latest Victoria Secret Angels. Let's hear the news from our Hollywood Representative."] sabi nung news anchor.

"Wow. Mommy look! Its Tita Sophie. She's now a Victoria Secret Angel." Aleina said. She looks amazed.

["...We are honored to have Ms. Sophia Larameda, the latest addition for the VS Angels. Good Day Ms. Sophia! How does it feel to be part of the prestigious VS Angels?]

["Hi. Its such an honor to be part of the group. I really feel elated, thankful, and honored. No words can explain what I am feeling right now."]

"Mommy. Tita Sophie is really really cool. I want to be like her someday."

"You could always be like her. But you should finish your studies first."

"But I still don't go to school. I already want to go to school."

"Its not yet the right time baby. You need to reach the age of 6."

"But it will take, one... two... three... Three years before I turn six." she said while counting at her fingers.

*Knock Knock*

"Mommy! I think Daddy's outside." she told me, upon hearing the knocks at the door.

"Wait. Let me check it. Prepare your daddy's slippers so that he wouldn't find it when he enters." I said then walked towards the door.

I hugged him and let him enter the room.

"Van! Napadaan ka yata?" i asked Van.

"Is that daddy?" sigaw ni Aleina mula sa room namin. She's probably looking for her dad's slippers.

"No baby. It's tito Van." I replied.

She walked outside the room and ran towards Van. Van hugged in reply.
