SuFin : Love Me Tender

Sealand's POV

  A soft melody gently pulled me out of my sleep. I rubbed my eyes and blinked in the dark. My nightlight glowed next to my bed, keeping the ugly monsters away. The door to my room was slightly opened, a crease of light from the hallway pouring in. The music was coming from downstairs.

  I wrapped Alleby, my trustworthy companion, around my neck and picked up my wooden sword. Holding on tightly to my weapon, I crawled out of my bed and into the hall. The lights were lit in the living room and the song was louder and louder coming from there. I crept up to the staircase and sat on a step, peeking through the bars.

  In the living room was papa and daddy, hugging each other. They slowly walked in circles, their arms firmly laced around one another. They had big, droopy pajamas and thick, fluffy socks. I recognized the song that was playing. It was their favorite song of all, Love Me Tender. I heard soft chuckling and papa hid his face in daddy's chest. Daddy took papa's hands and dragged him around, making him burst out laughing.

  Daddy picked papa up and swung him in circles. They laughed and hugged tightly. In daddy's arms, papa smiled and kissed him on the mouth. I looked away quickly and frowned. I don't like kissing.

  After watching them a little longer, Alleby was getting sleepy again. Having no choice, I crawled up the stairs. I dragged my sword and rubbed my eyes, yawning as I trudged back to my room. I closed my door but left it just a little open, I wanted to hear the pretty song. I placed Alleby next to me and covered both of us with the blanket. Very soon, the music drifted me off back to sleep just like it had woken me before.
