The job of a cashier can be just as boring as it can be interesting. Sometimes weird people come and buy weird things. Other times absolutely nothing happens during the whole day. Lovino closed off the conveyer belt and walked to the storage room. He needed to refill some shelves then go back to the cash register.

The brunet stacked the cans and boxes carefully. The store was practically empty and he was one the few employees still present. The supermarket was brightly lit in contrast with the darkness on the outside. Lovino pushed the supply cart back into the storage room and walked through the aisles back to the registers. As he slalomed through the shelves he noticed a curly-haired man chewing on a candy bar.

"Hey, you can't eat that until you pay for it," pointed out the Italian with an annoyed scowl. He marched up to the tanned man and crossed his arms. The client ogled the short brunet and smiled shyly.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I got side tracked and began eating it while thinking," he chuckled with a bright grin. Lovino blushed and looked away. He was willing to forgive the man since he was pretty hot and his type as well.

"Yeah fine... As long as you don't forget to pay, otherwise it would be theft," added the moody cashier, inspecting the brunet from top to bottom. He wasn't too bad, he had a nice body, had a pretty face, and wore casual clothes that fit him so well he looked like a prince.

The olive-eyed customer nodded, grinning gleefully. He whispered a thank you and turned around walking towards the exit to pay. Lovino's eyes widened and his breath caught in his throat. His face flushed into a deep pink as he gaped at the man's behind. It had such a perfect shape. It was firm, round and just the right size. The Italian muttered to himself and exhaled deeply, trying to keep a straight face as he seated himself behind the register.

The man placed the little groceries he had in his basket on the conveyer belt after the Italian removed the "closed for now" sign. Lovino scanned each item and tapped in the price of the candy bar the customer had eaten before. He stated the price and took the money that was handed to him. He slid the bills in the cash drawer and entered the sum in his computer. A buzzing sound came from the receipt printer and the white paper slowly came out.

"I apologize for the previous incident," assured the green-eyed brunet, "I really wasn't paying attention. I promise I would never steal anything."

Lovino raised an eyebrow and ripped the ticket from the machine. "Really? Well I'm sorry to tell you but that's not true," he declared sliding coins out of the drawer. The customer frowned and tilted his head. Lovino smirked and handed the man his change with the receipt. "You stole my heart just now."

The brunet turned all shades of red and took his change with trembling hands. He coughed awkwardly and smiled bashfully. His eyes darted around avoiding the Italian's smug gaze.

"I, uh... I'm sorry? I mean thank you. I mean-... C-can I have your number, then? Maybe, eventually... if you're up to it," blushed the man looking to the side. Lovino bit his lips together and suppressed a chuckle. He nodded and scribbled his number on an old receipt. The brunet gladly took it, reading the paper with a small smile.

"Thank you," he muttered folding the note and putting it away in his pocket.

"My pleasure," replied Lovino, grinning widely. The man left the store as the Italian stared out the sliding doors. He chortled to himself and laid back in his chair. It wasn't often his flirting was successful. He usually got disgusted glares or shocked glances. But he couldn't care less. Since he probably would spend his entire life in that small town he needed to take a chance with everyone he met. And who knew, maybe he would be the one.
