"It's Khloe, not Kerry,"I muttered, glaring at him as I got off the floor. I was standing in a large room with walls and flooring of obsidian, much like the rest of this place except for the decoration.
Behind Tritannus was a large door, locked by the looks of it. I wanted to know what was behind that door, but instead I focused my attention on my fake boss standing in front of me.
"Oh,I'm sorry,"He said sarcastically."I should totally take out time from my busier than busy schedule to know the names of everyone here. Tell you what, let's have a meet and greet right now!"
Oh gods. I could tell that this wasn't going to turn out well.
Plastering a fake smile on my face, said,"That's a great idea!I think I'll call that random Cyclops I bumped-"
"Geez, don't you get sarcasm?"He asked."Are you always this infuriating?"
"Seeing as I'm apparently in your dreams, you should know."I muttered.
No sooner than I finished that sentence,he stepped dangerously close to me. "What did you say?" He asked coldly.
I was stupidly brave enough to repeat myself."I said, seeing as I'm apparently-"
"I heard you,"He snapped."Do you think I'm deaf?"
I couldn't help but snort."Do you really want me to answer that question?"
He sneered,an expression which I'd never seen before on his face (or rather, his doppelganger's face). He then proceeded to size me up,scanning me from head to toe. My ears heated up,then I mentally cursed my ears for heating up like that.
I shot him a deluxe what-the-actual-hell glare, and then he smirked.
"Well,you definitely have a unique dressing style,"He said,still smirking.
"What are you talking-"I said, and then looked down at my clothes. In my hurry,I had matched a business suit jacket with a purple workout tank top, ripped blue skinny jeans and ........................
Bunny bedroom slippers.
"Whatever,"I shrugged,trying to be nonchalant."I'm a free spirit,in a free country,I can do what I want!"
His smirk,if possible, widened."You really think that you're still in the US?"
"Um,yes, since no one has actually bothered to tell me where exactly the heck I am!"
"Well,in that case,"He grabbed my right hand with a grip like iron,"Let me tip you off. You're not in America. You can't live by your own rules. You-"-he pointed at me like I was something the cat dragged in-"Listen to me-"-he gestured to himself like he was the Lord of the Universe or something-"If you have any hope of remaining my assistant general, and alive in general."
I could not believe this. Did he really think that he was the boss of me? Well,he actually was,but that's not the point. I just wanted to yank my hand out of his grip and slap that smirk off his face.
"Where are we?"I said."I want to know!"
"Oh you do,do you?"He whispered, still dangerously close to me. My blood somehow froze and boiled at the same time."Well, here you go."
He said,"Wall, open!" and the wall nearest to us split open like stage curtains, revealing a large wall-sized glass window. And the view outside the window was.........
"The Bahamas?" I said. Hey, don't blame me. The beach view looked exactly the same, except I think there weren't as many monsters on the beach as the Bahamas.
"No,Ogygia."
He said it so nonchalantly, that I almost would have done a spit take if I was drinking any water. With the way he said it, the island seemed like any other normal island and not a cursed magical one that was supposed to be a prison.
