In my dream, I was lying down with my back against a sun-baked brick wall smack in the middle of the Sahara Desert at night, with a snake wrapping itself around my waist and tethering me to the wall. The wall, oddly, didn't feel too hot; it was perfectly warm, and didn't feel that much like a wall at all. The snake that should have been cutting off all blood supply to my legs, was firmly but also lazily holding me in its clutches.

Suddenly, a large sandstorm came swirling around in all its glory. Slowly, it formed an image of if someone familiar in the tempestuous sand: Tritannus. Why Tritannus? I thought.

I flipped myself around so I could snuggle into a rather smooth, round and comfortable hole in the wall. I'm snuggling against a wall, I thought drily to myself. That's it, Kay, you've officially gone cuckoo.

Struggling, I opened my eyes to find myself in: darkness, and I once again closed my eyes. I shifted against what was supposed to be the wall, and I heard a grunt. I could hear a soft beat of drums from somewhere and the wall was making the slightest movements back and forth.

I distanced myself from the wall, my head sinking into the soft sand. Slowly, I opened my eyes to see another pair of eyes. Green ones to be exact.

I blinked, trying to dispel the sleepy dust away. It wasn't a dream; a pair of sea green eyes were staring right at me. And with that, eyebrows. And a nose. And a forehead, and messy black hair. And lips.

"Morning," A husky sleep-affected murmur reached my ears. I saw those lips move. Slowly, I tried to assemble the face parts together, making one very familiar face. Too familiar for any good.

Tritannus.

"Aaaaaahhh!!!" I screamed, half-rolling, half-trying to scoot away from him. But it didn't work. My legs were getting tangled in the blankets and....another pair of vaguely leg-like thingies.

"Relax," Tritannus said in that husky voice as he put a single finger on my lips, silencing me in the most impossible way.

"What's-why are we-"

"Sharing a bed?" Tritannus said, his lips twitching in amusement. "You don't remember anything from last night?"

"Last night..." I muttered to myself. "Did we watch Twilight again?" I shuddered at the mental image of a sparkling fairy princess Edward. "Please tell me we didn't."

He chuckled. "No. This time it was more bearable." He looked into my eyes, and I swear his eyes turned three shades darker. "Much more bearable."

I rubbed my eyes, trying to judge if he was as close as I thought he was. And he was, fortunately or unfortunately. Abruptly, I sat up, almost head-butting him. "Well, whatever the hell this was, I bet it was nice. But I really need to get to my room," I muttered as I smelled burning hair. "And don't we have work to do? The banquet's coming closer. Big day, huh?" I babbled as I scrambled out of his bed.

No, don't think of the fact that it's his bed. It's just a bed. Just a bed, Khloe.

"Khloe.." Tritannus said as he got off the bed. "Look, I know that this must be awkward-"

"You, sir, deserve the Nobel Prize!" I said sarcastically. "Awkward is an understatement. Waking up beside my boss isn't really my definition of a perfectly normal morning."
