Tritannus POV

I tapped my foot on the floor in a persistent rhythm. It was close to ten, and Khloe still hadn't come. She couldn't have forgotten, could she? There's a good chance that she finds this all very awkward, the voice in my head said. I mean, you just randomly asked her-

Maybe she's just running late, the other, more hopeful side of me which I never really listened to said. This time, I was much more inclined to, though.

I had to admit, I was nervous. Did I look good? Did my breath smell? I quickly checked it. Hope she likes mint, I thought to myself. Does she? What if she doesn't? I probably need to find something else, ASA-

When she came down the stairs, all thoughts of mint and breath flew right out of the figurative mind window. She hadn't seen me yet, probably because for some weird reason I was hiding behind a potted plant. Don't ask me why, but she made me do the weirdest things around her.

Her expression was hasty. Her violet eyes darted around. Guess that's my cue, I thought to myself as I stepped out into view. "Looking for someone?" I asked with a casual smirk on my face.

She saw me, and her face broke into a smile. "Not anymore," She said as she came closer. "I didn't see you at first," she said with a small laugh, fiddling with a lock of her hair in that way that made me go crazy.

"Maybe it's because I hid behind a potted plant," I said, scratching the back of my neck. She started laughing even more. "You're such an idiot sometimes, you know that?"

"Hey, you're not the smartest person on the planet," I said as I offered her my arm. "Remember, you pulled a knife on me."

She took my arm, and we walked through the gigantic doors into the throne room, which was newly transformed into a magnificent banquet hall. "Well, you were being an annoying, insufferable asshole."

I looked around the hall, surprised at how the once cold throne room was now filled with light and smiles, and most importantly-

"Food!" Khloe exclaimed, pointing with her free hand to the three long tables laden with eatables. "Have I gone to heaven?" She poked me. "So much food, Tritannus! Just look at it!"

"I'm looking," I said, lying through my teeth. In reality, through the corner of my eye, I was looking at something a lot more appealing.

Okay, that just sounds plain weird.

I shook my head. Now was not the time. I spotted Kronos through the corner of his eye, with Rhea right by his side. I couldn't see exactly why Kronos was still with her even though she betrayed him by saving Zeus as a baby.

"I'm sitting down," Khloe said to me as she pointed to a table. "You do all that horrible stuff that people do at these events."

I smirked. Typical Khloe. "You mean, socializing?"

"Yeah, that," She said with an exaggerated shudder. "I can't be friendly and happy all the time!"

"And you think I can?" I fired back as I saw Kronos look at me from far off. "Well, If you want to escape, now's the best time."
